Generate FS Ltd are extremely bad, unprofessional and heartbreakingly shoddy. Grievance not responded to, unlawful deductions from pay, no company policies and procedures sent, calculated holiday pay after gross, taxed it, retained it and full gross pay as RTI to HMRC.

Its not the money (education is a poor sector anyway) but some people have no scruples. Avoid for peace of mind.

I chose to accept an offer with this company over several others because I believed it would be a positive work environment. Unfortunately, my experience was entirely the opposite, and I was terminated after just three days under the claim that I "was not performing at the desired level."

​During my three days, I received zero training or guidance. My supervisor (Farjana) spent the majority of her time on her phone or socializing with other colleagues. Whenever I proactively asked for work or tasks to do, I was told "no." When I did ask questions to try and learn, her responses were consistently rude and dismissive. Furthermore, I was frequently left entirely alone in an empty office, during my lunch break, and was expected to complete tasks while my supervisor remained on her phone.

​It is impossible to meet performance standards when management refuses to train you, ignores your requests for work, and creates a hostile environment. I deeply regret turning down my other job offers for this company. I would highly advise job seekers to look elsewhere, as their onboarding process and treatment of new hires is deeply unprofessional.

They don’t pay on time and then fob you off with excuses. Imagine waiting for wages to drop into your account at 6pm in the 2026! I cannot wait to get permanent work and leave the agency that uses this dodgy company

Awful. Awful.

They are a group that does not respond to emails and performs their work quite poorly. They also failed to provide the necessary information, and since I am new to this country, I had to contact HMRC myself because they said they were unable to upload the P45 to the system.

What is it Generate actually does? Bridge money between the employer and employee, take a cut for nothing AND waste my time. \

Daylight robbery from a scam company that doesn't even need to exist. Can't provide payslips, no link to pensions, just finger pointing to the employer or multiple pensions schemes with 0 accountability.

How people can scam money for nothing and sleep with a clear conscience at night boggles my mind.

Well where do I start, Generate NEVER pay on time, they tell you it can be anytime up to 6pm on payday.
They regularly have delays that is never relayed to me. I have to chase my pay every week.

More recently I asked to opt out of the holiday pay scheme (as it was festive holidays) the first week it wasn't actioned so they banked my holiday pay.
I phoned them to be told "My colleague had not actioned it properly very sorry you will get it paid into your pay next week, next week you have now been opted out of the holiday pay so next week you will get full pay." I asked that this was resolved today as it was there error. I asked to speak to a manager 5 times and have been ignored 5 times.
Next week arrives my holiday has been banked again now I'm cross I phone again and I have been told "oh sorry there has been a technical issue it was not auctioned so you will be paid next Friday"

I confirm this is completely unacceptable as this is yet ANOTHER error I now get transferred to a manager who says "I'll ask Payroll to see if they can paytoday but just to warn you the answer is probably no"
The manager returns and says no it can't be paid as a payment has already been sent today.

I explained as this is an error they often make I know for a fact that they can make the payment today regardless of what I have been paid already.

The call ends with a unempathetic, completely dismissive response as a NO you will have to wait till Friday.

I raise an official complaint and the response this time is "wait till Friday"

This company makes numerous errors this is only a recent error I would be here all day typing them up otherwise.

Generate don't care they lie, they have no ownership, they take no responsibility for thier errors.

If you have a choice don't select Generate they truly are appalling.

Teaching agency refused to allow PAYE although they said it was an option on registering with them. Having started the work, I was told Generate would deal with payroll. Generate refused on several occasions to provide information on how pay rates are calculated. On the Guide they provide: 'You will agree a daily or hourly rate with the agency for your assignments. This is the rate we will bill the agency for your time – it is not your salary. This amount is designed to cover your salary plus associated costs, such as employer’s national insurance/pension, apprenticeship levy, holiday pay and the margin we retain to cover our operating costs.' Four weekly payments made, for which they refused to provide me with payslips. The agency has since been acquired, and the new company continues to use Generate.

They do not provide you access to the details of the deductions after several claims and emails. The webpage is faulty and denies you access to the payroll details.
