GermanShop24 is a family owned business and was founded in 2007 by Stefan Kuehnert - originally as a hobby. We started selling over the internet in September 2007 after setting up the very first version of our online shop. The assortment back then was just about 250 products, but still we got in the first order just 2 days after the initial launch. During the following months, orders slightly increased to 5-6 orders per week and there was not much progress in 2008. In 2009 Katrin Kuehnert joined the team and we started to expand our assortment. At the end of 2009 we offered about 2000 different items - all available to be ordered. Orders also went up in 2009 to about 30 per week. In the years between 2010 and 2015 we nearly doubled our revenue each year and we now have a yearly sales volume of about $1.5 Million making us one of the leading online shops for German food world wide, even though we are specialized in shipping to the US. In 2015 we expended our business and now serving wholesalers in different countries including the US and China. We offer air and sea freight service for wholesalers and take care about fulfilling all legal requirements for the destination countries.

Not sure how I feel about this shop
Excellent shipping speed and selection. The packaging is good and the products arrive in order. Prices reasonable considering the service is difficult to come by. I am disappointed that I will not be able to order from this shop anymore as they have broken my trust.
There was a problem in their checkout process which caused my order to go to an old address. I ordered using a new address and I had checked to be sure that I entered it in several times before sending off the order. I have made the mistake of putting in a wrong address before (with this shop in a past order, at that!), and I know that I did not make it this time. They told me instead that I could have remedied the problem had I called after receiving their confirmation email which shows the wrong address. I've never seen a company swap my address after paying so sure, I could have admittedly caught it if I was suspicious that your website was inadequate, but I wasn't as it had functioned well in the past.
I called FedEx, who told me there is nothing they can do and that I should contact the seller. I contacted the seller and was told they do not accept returns, give refunds, or pay to rerout shipments should their system register your order to an address other than the one you entered at checkout. They instead imply that it must have been your fault. I am not new to online ordering, and their system is unlike any other I have encountered, I assure you that my hands are clean of it all.
Service was quick and excellent whenever I had to make any brief contact in the past, but this really just killed it for me. Something is wrong with how your checkout works, and I hope that for the sake of your future customers at least give it a tweak for them. Don't allow an option to put in an address for checkout only for it to redefault to another one without any sort of confirmation whatsoever.
This site says 3 stars is an "average acceptable experience with some friction" and I imagine most people would rate my experience lower than that if it happened to them. I'm giving 3 stars because they're usually fine and I'm sure most orders you make from them will be fine but Lord help you should something go wrong, oh my. Thanks for the past help and memories, was a good run having access to the stuff I remember for a while but I'm sure it will take some time for me to warm up to ever ordering again, if I ever do.

I placed my order on Oct. 5, it was shipped on Oct. 8, and arrived on Oct. 15. It was the first time that I ordered from Germanshop24.
Each item was individually wrapped in bubble wrap so even though the cooling element leaked (it was completely thawed), none of the items got damaged. Everything was tightly packed with no room to move around. Overall my experience with Germanshop24 was good, there were no issues, and I plan to order from them again.

Meine erste Erfahrung mit Germanshop24 war hervorragend.
Nachdem ich kürzlich von einem anderen Onlineshop für Süßigkeiten um mein Geld betrogen wurde, habe ich lange gezögert, es noch bei einem anderen zu versuchen. Die Wahl fiel dann auf Germanshop24. Ich muss sagen, ich bin sehr zufrieden. Die Bestellung wurde selbst am Wochenende noch abgefertigt, womit ich gar nicht gerechnet hatte. War dann quasi 1-2 Werktage später auch schon mit FedEx unterwegs. Weil ich bei der Bestellung meine schlechte Erfahrung erwähnt hatte, bekam ich nicht nur eine nette persönliche Nachricht per Email direkt nach der Bestellung, sondern auch handschriftlich auf dem der Lieferung beiliegenden Lieferschein (und ein kleines Extra-Präsent lag der Lieferung auch noch bei).
FedEx hat dann leider einen Tag länger gebraucht als ursprünglich versprochen war, aber dafür kann der Verkäufer nichts! (FedEx finde ich, zumindest bei uns in der Gegend, ohnehin sehr unzuverlässig)
FAZIT: Werde auf jeden Fall wieder dort bestellen, hoffentlich klappt es so gut wie beim ersten Mal.

My experience with this shop was more than pleasant. Super speedy processing and shipping, received it inside 6-7 work days from the day of ordering (and this is shipping from Germany all the way to Alabama). FedEx was a day late on the promised delivery date, but this is obviously not the seller's fault!
I had a previous bad experience with another online shop for German candy who basically took my money and never shipped my order, so I was wary of trying another one, but now I'm glad I did. Got a nice stock of my favorite Haribo's ;) After mentioning this bad experience during the order process, I even received a nice personal note via email and then again a hand-written one inside the package - very nice!
Will definitely order again when those Haribo's run out!

I live in New York and have been ordering from Germanshop24 for several years now. I have found their website to contain just about everything that I am familiar with and always order around the holidays. Their prices seem to be fair, items are well packed and shipping speedy. I have actually been more satisfied with this company than some of the ones I have ordered from in the U.S.

I placed my order on 27.09. last week. Today they send me a email, my shipping is on the way. Now it’s the 03.10., long time between order, cash transfer and preparing for the shipping. the carrier did not send me a tracking number today. I will leave for vacation on Sunday and will be not back until mid of November. My order will be somewhere but not in my kitchen. And thats for the shipping cost of USD 50.- thats very bad!

This website is flat out awesome
This website is flat out awesome. I have been ordering a small box with a mixed selection every month for the past year and a half. I have never been disappointed. All those delicious, edible food memories from my childhood and even new stuff that I had never even heard of before!
Everything is packed with great care and the merchandise is always fresh. I have only had a discrepancy with a smashed package once (thanks to the FedEx guy who must have used my box as a soccer ball substitute) but GermanShop24 customer service was right there to help. Thank you so much for all you do. It's like having a small Christmas celebration every month.
I ordered 10 Milupa 3 follow on milk…
I ordered 10 Milupa 3 follow on milk 800 grams (with the non box packaging that has the frog on the cover as pictured on the website). I Received boxes of the same formula with the bags inside (what I purposely did not order) in the total amount of 6000 grams. I am missing 2000 grams of formula.
First of all, if they do not have the type of packaging that they advertise, they should ask me if I wanted the replacement, before sending it. I would have canceled as I do not like the bags in the box. They didn't contact me at all, just sent it as they pleased.
Secondly I sent a photo of what I received and explained that I was missing 2000 grams of formula. The representative purposely manipulated my words to imply that I received 4 extra boxes of formula instead of missing the amount I mentioned (and being different packaging than what I ordered.
Very dishonest. At least try and help the customer when a mistake is made, instead of manipulating their concerns and blowing off the fact that you have your suppliers send products that may not be exactly what the customer wanted.

Finally received order 9 days after expected arrival date with no idea what happened with FedEx delaying shipment..mine wasnt the only package stuck.
FedEx did not adhere to the labels to keep my items cool under or at 45°F, so all of my beloved Milchschnitte bars have to go to the trash because of the smell, and no, not trying them because there was no toilet paper included in shipment ;)
Gummy candy arrived fine, Dickmann's were a bit smushed but edible. Other items seemed to be in good shape and within date-now to find American equivalent of Speisequark.

Ordered July 24. My family lives in Luxembourg and is from Heidelberg so I know there are no holidays right now. I was to receive my items July 30th and according to tracking now, there is no date to be delivered. What is going on? I was so happy to find and receive these items, but now it is a messed up game. Tracking number is 451999081885. Order # is 46229.

That is my work number and they can take messages when I am off. I have no email to indicate anything whatsoever with a delay, and yes, am checking spam now again to ensure this. There is nothing there of notification other than order confirmed on the 19th, shipped on the 24th with expected delivery on the 30th. Mind you I did have the cooling pack included in there for the additional, I think, $6.95, so at this point, I'm figuring the items to be kept cool will be useless because no one knows when delivery will be here.

Never order when they have just been on holidays
Neither shipping confirmation nor order received.
Put in an order for AU$575 on 5th July. Got an automated email with order #46454 "prepare to ship" - nothing since then and today is 13th July. Also no reply to email sent to them.
Very disappointing
Update: The company got in touch advising they were on holidays the week before I placed the order and are now working on getting orders shipped and my order would be shipped soon - still disappointing that it takes a week (or more) for them to catch up.

You are not trustworthy, you DID NOT send six items that I paid for, and you don’t want to take responsibility of your actions! Your business is going downhill! I am reporting you to the higher substances! You cannot keep fooling other people!
Update- not ONE item, it’s SIX that weren’t in the box, and how do you know one item got damaged during shipment? Do you have magnifying glass?

Ugh... where do I start? Terrible experience. First they have a note on their website saying free shipping on orders of $150 or more to the U.S. NOT TRUE. I placed an order for $180 and the cheapest shipping was almost $60 which said it would ship in 5 -6 business days. I would have been fine with paying the extra money but here I am 3 weeks later without the order I placed. Just lies on top of more lies. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

I also had a bad experience with their customer service!! I got all my Easter stuff after Easter and tried to contact hem before several times. The tel,number they list on their website -nobody answers. It doesn't matters if they are a family business or a huge cooperation! If they offer a business and tell people that it gets shipped wishing 5 days then they have to honor this! If they say because of illness they couldn't ship in time then they should hire replacement or close their shop and don't accept orders! Don't buy from this site they should get out of business asap. I haven't heard until now and they also charged my credit card more $$ as they actually value of the shopping bag was. I will continue telling everybody about them since they don't care about their customers anyhow! KAUF HIER NICHTS!!
