The customer service reps are patient, helpful, and great at their jobs! However, ManyPets did not successfully transfer my account to Odie, despite my account remaining in good standing for 3 years prior to the transfer.

When my baby girl became sick, the last thing I needed was the added stress of having to advocate for myself over a mistake that ManyPets/Odie made. I was already dealing with the stress and fear of her having a life-threatening illness, and then I had to call and find out that my account had NOT been transferred after receiving SEVERAL emails stating that “you don’t have to do anything regarding the transfer.” That was extremely frustrating and stressful, especially during an already difficult situation.

My claim has not been reviewed yet, so I will update this review once it has been processed to let others know whether Odie ultimately pays the claim as promised.

They rarely reimburse. May as well have no insurance.

For the love of our beloved pets we put our trust in pet insurance to ensure they’re taken care of if they ever get sick but only to find out that you really cannot count them other than them requiring to get paid on time every month then to find out that they are not willing to pay the care that they have promised.

In order to avoid having to pay claim; they rule it as pre-Existing. I did email you the documents the same day no response. It will probably take you another 6 weeks to respond with another denial.

They were very helpful when I submitted my claim.

Company quickly processed my claims. Process was quick and easy on app and anytime I needed to upload something new it clearly stated what I needed to do.
Customer service reps also provide prompt and complete service.

Easy to sign up, just wish you had a app in the App Store to download on my phone

I've had my 2 dogs insured with them for a few years. I'm seriously looking at alternatives. Oddie is your"typical" insurer, The one that will do everything they can not do their job and pay for a claim. 1st, they will ask for documents, they've had since day 1, then they will keep saying they're missing something, putting deadline on providing docs, hoping you miss the date or may give up on your claim... bunch of crooks...

Everything you need to know about them is the disgusting way this policy is structured: the method of applying the coinsurance BEFORE THE DEDUCTIBLE is unnecessarily convoluted and results in a supposed $950 deductible actually requiring $1,187.50 in eligible veterinary expenses before the policy pays anything. This calculation is of course buried in the policy language, it is completely contrary to the ordinary way a consumer would understand an “annual deductible” and is purely designed to minimize the insurer’s payout while making the coverage appear more generous than it actually is. Even more unfortunately, my cat has developed bladder stones while covered under this policy, and now I cannot simply move him to another insurer without his urinary condition being excluded as pre-existing. I am stuck with this unscrupulous, unethical, dishonest, despicable company now.

I have not yet received a dime from them and do not have a date upon which I might. Even then, it will be significantly less than expected due to their policy to take the total amount of the claim and apply the coinsurance FIRST, and THEN deduct the deductible from that percentage and you just get whatever is leftover. Instead of every other insurance policy in existence which does not pay anything until you have met your full deductible, THEN they pay out the designated percentage of the total claim.

Full example: my claim was for $979 x 80% reimbursement rate (20% coinsurance) is $783.20 minus $273.94 (remaining deductible) = $509.26 reimbursement. INSTEAD OF $979 minus $273.94 (remaining deductible) is $705.06 x 80% reimbursement rate (20% coinsurance) = $564.05 (A difference of $54.79 which is nothing to them but is a whole lot to me.

I paid $2,173.78 out of pocket, they decided $1762.08 of that was actually eligible to claim, and then they managed to finagle their payment down to $509.26 instead of what should have been more like $649.66.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - they're shadier than the average insurance company which is really saying something.

***As a side note, I did not purposely elect to have Odie but rather acquired them through my Nibbles credit card and Nibbles, having clearly concluded that Odie was not the right partner, likely due to this exact complaint, less than two months after I signed up, has since moved its new cardholders to Rainwalk, with substantially different and better policy terms, yet those of us who signed up under the original Odie arrangement have simply been left behind with this ridiculous policy.***

I originally switched to Odie because the last pet insurance kept raising the rates. My dog Holly had surgery on July 9th and I just got reimbursed today in the mail. The documents Odie requested were reasonable and sent promptly. The communication sent was confusing if I it had been approved or not. When you said it was approved I tried to use your direct deposit method which did not work. The folks on your phone were pleasant but tried to tell me to just resubmit it. Anyway I used the check option. I got a message that it was sent but I got a message two weeks later that it was sent after I had checked my PO Box. I appreciate being reimbursed for a portion of my vet bill. Other than the preceding glitches the process worked.

I am so delighted with my Odie Pet Insurance experience that I barely know where to begin with the compliments!
The Odie web portal is incredibly easy to use—a big plus for those of us who may be a little less tech savvy. But what truly sets Odie apart is the team. They are PAWSOME!
Every single person I spoke with provided knowledgeable, thoughtful, and compassionate answers to my questions. They never made me feel rushed, and they understood that they weren’t simply answering questions about an insurance policy—they were helping me take care of someone I love.
Finn is my anchor in a stormy world. What happens to him, happens to me. The Odie team understood that, and their kindness meant more than they probably realize.
And the cherry on top? They asked me to send them a picture of Finn in his cool new life jacket. Seriously, who does that anymore?

Odie has been a great partner for my pet's needs. They are diligent in keeping me posted on the status of my claims, and they are very accurate and fair in their claim reimbursements.

Claim reviews go on forever and no one ever acknowledges email questions.
I give 2 stars instead of one because my last contact with a human being by phone was very helpful. Would I ever use Odie for a future pet? NOT A CHANCE!!!!!!!!

Poorly run pet insurance company. Very slow to review & reimburse bills. Website log for claims makes it impossible to track past claims. Today got notice they sold it to new company looks like large corporation who doubled the premiums. Now I'm stuck with them since I'm stuck with pre existing that no one else will cover. My opinion. Purposely sell company yearly so customers get stuck & they increase premiums. Wish aI had used Sam's club pet insurance 2 years ago. At least I know they won't go out of business.

Was very easy to sign my dogs up.

Awful. Slow to process. Deny the norm. And my senior dog went up $80 a month! I get a slight increase but $80????

I reached out August 18th- my expectations of them lowering the increase to something more reasonable than a $969 a year increase is not high held.

Update 2- Ha! Reply was absolutely pointless. BS. Pet is older so policy goes up - blah blah. Um, again $960 plus dollars???????

You guys returned our refund fairly quickly even though I thought I was only going to be a couple days it turned out to be like a week but also I wish pet insurance companies would pay the vet up front because what's the point of having it right you still got to come up with the money but just a thought thank you
