Disappointing product and aftercare service
Having researched Gettech and read very positive reviews (in general) I have to say that I was very disappointed with product and aftercare service from Gettech. I bought my husband an "As new" iphone 11 in January 2022 for 519 euros. This included a case, screen protector and warranty which was I thought a good offer. However, early in September (after 8months of use) my husband noticed that the buttons on the screen were becoming less responsive. As we were going on holidays and did not have access to a replacement at the time I was unable to return the phone until early November. in the meantime the screen buttons became less responsive. I sent photos of phone ahead of the product. Cal at Gettech commented that "Rest assured we will have this rectified for you." Instead of having the matter rectified however, I was informed that due to the 'physical damage' to the phone the warranty did not apply. I was also informed that the battery was down to 74% and I'd need a new one. I reassured Rachel that my husband only ever has his phone in car or at home and apart from general wear and tear, there had been no physical damage done to this phone. While there were slight scratches in a couple of places on the corner of the phone, the phone and screen were still in extremely good condition. My own refurbished iphone8 from August 2020 (from a different company) has undergone a number of falls/physical damage and has numerous scratches on phone/screen protector however, I have never had an issue with response to buttons and the phone is still in perfect working order with the battery at 76% capacity. While staff are helpful and quick to respond to emails, I am very disappointed with this product and I feel that the warranty counts for nothing! I will certainly not be using this company again.

Our technicians had determined that this issue and the lifting of the screen is something that can only be caused by a drop or a knock to the device. The cracks can be seen here in these photos: https://postimg.cc/gallery/zb309Tf
As is our policy, any physical damage/liquid damage or third-party tampering will unfortunately void the warranty and result in a paid repair. This is outlined in our return instructions.
As per the photos supplied, your device did show signs of physical damage and we offered discounted repair rates. You declined this, as is your right, and we shipped the device back to you.
We have taken your feedback on board and we are constantly working to improve our service. In the meantime, we would love to have this issue resolved for you. If there is anything else we can do please feel free to let us know, we would be happy to speak about this and come to a resolution.

Friendly staff and prices
The staff on the other end of the phone were friendly and helpful and talked me through the best options for what I was looking for. I was pleased with the price and the item arrived in good time.

Fantastic company
Customer service in this company is second to none, brilliant staff and always a voice at the end of the phone, I have been dealing with this company for 3 years or more have bought at least 7 phones over the years and all phones are excellent never had a problem with them, prices can’t be beaten or warranty.

Delay in receiving Iphone

My order was delayed by 2 weeks however they kept in touch with me throughout this time. Once they had my product back in stock it was delivered the next day, so can’t complain, it was out of their control

Pretty bad experience here
Pretty bad experience here! Ordered an Iphone on the Thursday. States 2-3 day delivery. Chased again on the Tuesday to see it had been sent as no information sent. Informed that it would take 2-3 days was for processing only and another 2-3 days for delivery. This was not clear on the website - we looked extensively. Was assured it would be sent out the following days on the Wednesday - 5 working days after order. Still no word on the Wednesday to say it was shipped (like most other companies do). Chased again on the Thursday (7 days after purchase). This time was sent an email to tell us that the IPHONE was not in stock!!!! Seriously!!! Offered a lesser phone or a refund. What a complete waste of time!! Was in need of a phone urgently and this set us back more than 8 days. Beware, ask first if in stock, ready and how long delivery is. Really really bad communications. Expected better from an Irish company tbh. Hopefully, they can learn from this and improve their communications on website and by email and only stock items they have available.

Exceptional customer service …
The 5* review here is for Rachel mainly but also Rue and I think his name was Con. I purchased and IPhone X on 01/10/2022, when it hadn’t been dispatched by Tue I started to worry, with no communication from Get tech,as it was a gift for my son. I reached out and explained I needed it by Monday 10/10/2022 Long story short it wasn’t in stock. Rachel very quickly rectified the situation and I was able to collect the phone yesterday and it is FAB!!! My son will be delighted. Thank you for the wonderful customer service.
