I like the fact that buying a gift card…
I like the fact that buying a gift card like this stays local and the vast majority are not big chain businesses. It’s giving a gift to a person and allowing the money to stay within the community. Customer service is extremely prompt, knowledgeable and friendly!

This is the perfect gift
This is the perfect gift for our daughter who lives just next to one of the highlighted businesses. We didn't receive the electronic card immediately so I followed up with customer service. They responded quickly and took care of everything. Great service !

Bought a gift card on line from Giverrang as a Xmas gift and it couldn't be used at the store that I wanted it for. This company was so nice to work with and always contacted me until we got our problem solved. They were great, returned the money for the card.

Giverrang is a Scam Site
As the owner of The Look in Ohio; I did not know who Giverrang was. I found my business presence unknowingly, unsolicited on their website. I’ve never been contacted by them nor have I ever given them permission to use my business for gain and I do not accept their Gift Cards. Please remove my business from the Giverrang website that is NOT locally based in Ohio.
Giverrang's business practice / behavior is unacceptable and untrustworthy due to the back door, inappropriate manner of business exploitation and extortion. Unethical, not intended to assist local businesses they’ve not solicited to ask permission to promote their own brand/company. Giverrang is not listed with the Better Business Bureau but you can report their unsolicited business practice by filing a complaint at https :// www .ic3.gov / the select submit an Internet crime complaint with the IC3 THIS IS A CRIME it is misleading & unsolicited! or by doing a Google search "How to Report Scam Websites"
UPDATE REPLY TO GIVERANG RESPONSE:
What Giverrang is doing is dangerous, causing grief to the business owners they violate which can result in serious health effects to those they violate.
Giverang responded to my review thanking me for hurting their business; they are doing that themselves because they are attempting to gain from posting business to their website for profit without the businesses permission causing grief. Maybe Giverrang should not add businesses to their website for profit unknowingly WITHOUT their permission and they would not have this problem, It's just as simple as that. If their intent was good and legit there wouldn't be SO MANY reviews such as mine. They would’ve sought out the permission of the business owner with respect to obtaining their permission while explaining their purpose. Evidently they must’ve known that it wouldn’t be accepted because they did it unethically and without permission.
When a business owner discovers Giverang is using their business for profit without their permission and gives Giverrang a negative review / response; expressing being taken advantage of or violated, Giverrang comes with an attempt to explain their business ONLY after that business has discovered / reviewed Giverangs scamming, unsolicited behavior. Giverrang again insults that business, uses their review in an attempt for advertising gain, all around unethical.
If Giverrang is reading between the lines of reviews of their company’s behavior and detects anger from these reviews by businesses that they’ve violated for profit, then they must know their business practices are unethical and unwanted. Unsolicited using business without permission for profit that is unwanted is not helping the business owner nor doing them any good at all.
Now Giverrang is here seeking sympathy, speaking about being a small business attempting to have an impact on communities THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT NOR CARE ABOUTt while insulting the business owner they violated in responses of reviews such as this.
Many business owners are small startups as well, running their business alone; some business owners are disabled with sensitive, severe health issues running their business to pay their medical bills. They have health issues that can be triggered and possibly cause death from the stress of dealing with unwanted issues of unethical business practices from businesses like Giverang who profit from them without permission.
Giverrang makes excuses about not being able to reach out to every business owner to ask for permission to promote / profit their own business on their website, because they say they don’t have the help. Giverrang CONTRADICTS themselves here because they have the time to post lengthy responses to reviews of those they violate as if they are the victim. Giverrang’s business behavior is costing & forcing these businesses to defend the integrity of their business from this un-permissible association & backdoor profit; but don't have time to email/call them to ask for permission to post/profit from them.
Giverrangs sounds like they have a grudge against Amazon. I don't see Amazon on the Giverrang website because they would sue Giverrang. Giverang claims to be helping business owners in disenfranchised communities via The Chamber of Commerce but The Chamber of Commerce does not condone this type of business practice Giverrang uses as an excuse.
Giverrang wants to force me to contact them to be removed when I NEVER contacted, called, text, emailed, or asked for their help in the first place. After discovering how they conduct business which is a contradictory lie about what they claim their business is about, AGAIN, please remove my business The Look from your website Giverrang. I am not interested.

Giverrang's product is a gift card that can be spent at any local independent business in a community. We list local businesses to suggest some places the cards can be spent, but if a business prefers not to be listed we are happy to remove them.

Hi Yavon, our company co-founder had an extensive conversation with you over the phone yesterday after you left this review and we appreciated that you took the time to give us a call to speak with us. We were able to explain what our product actually was, why there are merchant listings, and our mission to help small businesses across the US through our Community Gift Cards. Yavon, we hope the conversation helped shine light and addressed some of what you wrote here too.
Yavon offered some suggestions on how to cause less alarm to small businesses and recommended we reach out as much as we can to business owners to make them aware of Giverrang and our Community Gift Cards. We certainly would love to reach out to every small business owner, but as a small team there are practical limitations to being able to reach out to millions of businesses especially when your goal is to have the widest impact possible. For example, the difficult question we ask ourselves is do we cut off our ability to bring many more dollars to small businesses across the country just to ask permission to businesses whether it is OK that we tell our customers to go spend at their business? Perhaps from this perspective, the challenge for our team becomes more clear.
That said, we are working hard internally on how we can make the purpose of the listings more clear as well as what else we can do to share our service with merchants and others to raise awareness and eliminate confusion. Suggestions from businesses on how to accomplish this feat are always appreciated since we are working to positively impact you so we want to listen intently to better service our mission of boosting communities/local economies by promoting small businesses.
Also our listings never claim that Giverrang is an affiliate of any business. To business owners, businesses are only listed as we are merely suggesting that people spend our Community Gift Card at your business, which is a prepaid Mastercard you accept and are paid like any other Mastercard.

Hi John, we are not offering gift cards for this business. We sell a Spokane Valley WA Community Gift Card that can be spent at any independent business in the community. The listing you saw for this business was part of the "suggested businesses [to spend at]" listings.
It is difficult for us to know or be able to police the reputations of the many thousands of businesses across the country that are capable of accepting our Community Gift Cards (which are effectively prepaid Mastercards), so we do appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will not stand for illegitimate businesses being part of our listings. We have gone ahead and removed Lilac City Decks from the Spokane Valley Community Gift Card listings.
