GRI - Global Reporting Initiative Avaliações 

GRI made significant efforts to develop sustainability courses and materials with comprehensive content. However, the course design is quite dull, relying only on slides and a monotonous voice. It could be improved by incorporating more activities such as games, discussions, role plays, and others.

The GRI course is thorough and well designed. The content covers everything from UNGPs and due diligence to practical case studies with real companies like Enagas, FIFCO and SOCAR Turkey. The real world examples make complex concepts like materiality assessment and degree of involvement much easier to understand, Highly Recommended for sustainability professionals.

The course was appropriately detailed. I also liked how one set of examples was used throughout the different phases of the course for better relational understanding.

I am a consultant in sustainability. My scope of work focus on evaluation of sustainability related projects which are trying to tap venture capital. I completed a no of sustainability online programs from different institutions from MIT , Cambridge , Michigan etc.

It's really balanced along with practical examples and enhanced understanding level.

Focus on using them, with enough context to see why they are credible as standards.

Gri has some valuable trainings and their standards are the best practice for companies disclosing ESG and sustainability issues. However, their training program is frustrating. In order to keep your certification, you must take 4 hours (CEUs) of training every year. There are no exceptions for volunteering for GRI, providing feedback to standards, or attending other trainings or classes. So it really feels like a money grab and not an actual professional certification. The online trainings have a very mixed quality to them. One that I took was excellent, while another was mediocre, and a third was quite terrible (no captions for some content, links not working at all, etc).

I would say overall -> 5 stars as an organization, one star for the certification management and online training content.

I gave this feedback during the training, and left this review because immediately after finishing the training, I received an email asking me to leave one.

Really sick of so called news stories that turn into a shitty journey through AI bait writing flip off! Do the work and report! Stop wasting our time !!!!!!!!

An insightful and well-structured course that provides a strong foundation in GRI Standards and sustainability reporting. The content is practical and clearly explained, making it easy to apply in real reporting contexts.

More sector-specific examples (e.g. financial services) would add further value, but overall a highly useful course for sustainability practitioners.
