How they Lie: pretty much everything on their website is a lie. What their sales reps will tell you is a lie. What the customer service reps will tell you.. also a lie. This company was registered this decade. They don't have 25 years of experience. Maybe they have 25 years of experience combining the old DOT numbers they've burned and changed their name to avoid regulatory scrutiny or lawsuits. They aren't an interstate carrier, they broker the work out to whoever will take the job. At most, they're a network of people cooperating for their own interests, not yours.

The sales team will tell you that you can call them any time, then as soon as they pick up your goods, they become ghosts.

Their site says you can track your goods at any time. Once they get your goods, customer service will tell you it doesn't work like that and dispatch will update you as your items move around the states.

They'll tell you your goods aren't touched by anyone that isn't an employee. I have paper proof they brokered my work to someone else. Not only someone else, a person unauthorized to ship goods in an interstate move. They loaned him a truck, but I had to write a check to a different moving company, who has no federal authority, licensing, or insurance to move goods across state lines.

How they cheat: they'll tell you on pickup the estimate was low. They'll tell you the truck has markers in it that equals 200 cu ft. That's not true. I negotiated to get my goods out of storage and drive them myself (of course after paying full price). When I put them in a truck, I measured in the 700s, but was told I had 1k cu ft.

How they steal: I guess it's just a free for all if they take your goods. When I went to pick up my goods, everything but my ladder was there. When I told the (non-employee as he claimed) that it was missing, he motioned for me to go around the corner and there was my ladder, sitting on another dock. I assume the loaders thought I had a nice ladder and wanted to use it.

This is just my experience. Research this company or any moving company on every platform possible. Look at the stories of how unscrupulous moving companies run a sophisticated scheme to win your business under false pretense, then find ways to increase the price to extract more money using questionable practices.

Use a POD, use a UHAUL, just don’t use these sorry people.

Had a friend recomend global trans van lines and I couldn’t be happier, they had my stuff to my new home in about 2 weeks and the price was not unreasonable, for a 4 bedroom I paid right at 5000. For me it was the right choice and not having to take a week or two off work to deal with it definitely helped me in the long run.

I would give negative stars if I could. I called to get a quote and when I was given a range that I didn’t necessarily agree with, I was hung up on before I could utter a single word. I called back and asked if this was the same person who rudely hung up on me, and was hung up on again. I then called another number and got another imbecile that I can’t name or they will remove the review. While explaining to him what just happened he insisted on talking over me instead of listening, and when I called him out, he too hung up. No manners which translates into no customer service. They could be free and I wouldn’t even hire them to move my toilet paper. I’ll be leaving this review on all platforms.

I just want to say, a big shoutout and thanks to my representative james, going above and beyond for my needs, helped me out with my long distance moving, and came right on time for my delivery. I would recommend james to friends and family for life!

Relocated from Chicago to Atlanta for a new job and had maybe 3 weeks to make it happen. Global Trans pulled it together on short notice. They packed everything, loaded the truck, and I did not have to lift a finder. Got to Atlanta before my stuff did, which was fine because they gave me a solid delivery window and actually hit it. Driver called me the morning of delivery which I appreciated did not feel like my things just disappeared into thin air.

Moved from Orlando to Dallas last month and honestly was dreading the whole thing. I have bed experience with movers before stuff going missing, hidden fees, you name it. Global Trans was different from the start. I got matched what I actually paid at the end, which never happens. The guys were careful with my dining set (solid wood, irreplaceable) and wrapped my TV without me even asking. Everything arrived in one piece about 3 days later. Would use them again without hesitation.

Global Trans Van Lines is absolutely the worst,most deceptive and incredibly evil moving company we have ever dealt with. They use a classic bait and switch by giving you a low estimate and then showing up on moving day in a rental truck packing your things and raising the price. The price is triple what they initially quote. They only take cash, Zelle, Venmo or check. They promised to deliver your goods and then they hijacked them to a storage and will not release them until you pay them more money. They hold your goods hostage, and if you ever receive them, they are damaged beyond belief. We did not receive our goods or the location where they hid them. This company destroys your belongings and ultimately your life. Please, please, please do not use them.!!!

My wife and I made the decision to move from upstate New York down to The Villages in Florida. We went online in an attempt to get a price of what it would cost to move forty years of accumulated possessions from point A to point B. A gentleman from Global Trans Van Lines gave us a call. His name is Dave Francis. He explained the entire process thoroughly and performed some calculations. The price he presented to us in writing was not only fair, it was within our price range. The truck and crew showed up on time, did what was expected, and they made delivery down here in the Sunshine State in a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend Global Trans Van Lines and I strongly suggest you ask for Dave Francis.

The company increased charges when they arrived at my house even though I had sent pictures to quality guy the day before. And it was a lot it was $4000 not only that but they wanted cash. What was I supposed to do? They’re telling me this while they’re loading my stuff into their truck. Also when we got to my destination, they would not move anything to the room that I had indicated they put everything in one room, including stuff that belonged in the garage and in the basement I’m a 70-year-old woman. I really didn’t need this.

I wish I could give them a 0 they are scammers. We decided not to go with the company within the allotted timeframe to get our deposit back ..it's been 2 months and they still have not returned the deposit. Don't go with this company

Scammers, don’t trust them. Rude and absolutely unprofessional.

I am filing this complaint because I believe I was the victim of deceptive and unfair business practices during my interstate move.
I received an initial quote based on the amount of household goods I described. After my belongings were loaded onto the truck, I was told the price would nearly double because I supposedly needed an entire truck. At that point, I had no choice but to pay because all of my possessions were already in the company's possession.
When my belongings were delivered, it was obvious this claim was false. My shipment occupied only about half of the truck—the same amount reflected in the original estimate. I was charged for a full truck that I did not use, which appears to be a bait-and-switch tactic.
The move also resulted in damaged and missing property, including my 65-inch television, an approximately $1,000 mirror, my bed frame, and a ladder. I immediately reported these issues and was told my missing bed frame would be delivered later. More than a week has passed with no delivery, update, or communication.
The delivery experience was equally unacceptable. One of the movers drank alcohol from my belongings while unpacking, became intoxicated on the job, and continued handling my possessions.
Communication has been virtually nonexistent. Calls go unanswered, voicemails are never returned, and emails receive only generic responses stating my concerns are "under review" and that someone will contact me, which never happens.
I believe the company engaged in deceptive pricing, breached its contract, handled my belongings negligently, and failed to respond to legitimate claims. I am seeking reimbursement for the inflated moving charges, compensation for my damaged and missing property, and any other relief available under state and federal law.

On May 28, 2026, my mother’s household belongings were picked up in California by Global Trans Van Lines for transport to Indiana. The agreed delivery timeframe was represented to us as approximately 10–14 days. The total cost of the move was approximately $11,000, with $6,500 paid before pickup and the remaining balance due upon delivery.
As the estimated delivery window passed, communication from the company became increasingly inconsistent. We were repeatedly given conflicting explanations regarding the location and status of my mother’s belongings. At various times we were told the shipment was in Colorado, that it remained in California, that it was being transferred between facilities, and that it was actively being searched for. No one was able to provide a consistent or verifiable explanation of where the shipment actually was.
After weeks of delays, only part of my mother’s belongings were delivered. Numerous items were missing. Based on the inventory provided by the company, the missing property includes multiple boxes whose contents are unknown because they have never been recovered, as well as larger household items including three bicycles, two box springs, one mattress, one bed frame, and other property. Two televisions were eventually delivered with broken screens.
In addition to the missing items, we paid for furniture assembly services that were never performed. Despite repeated requests, the company ignored or delayed responding to questions about the assembly service and ultimately suggested we would have to file a claim.
Throughout this process, the company’s representatives frequently stopped responding to phone calls and text messages. We were continually promised updates that never came. At one point we were told that if the missing belongings could not be located, we should simply file a claim.
Most recently, after we were informed that the belongings were essentially lost and that we would need to proceed through the claims process, a warehouse manager sent us photographs showing some of our supposedly “missing” items. The photographs indicated that the items were still in the company’s possession. Despite possessing these items, the company has still failed to deliver them promptly.
During this matter, the company also attempted to have us remove negative online reviews. We observed that negative reviews and comments were removed from the company’s social media pages, and users posting criticism appeared to be blocked.
My mother suffers from dementia, making this situation particularly harmful. Many of the missing items are important household belongings that she cannot easily identify from memory, making it difficult to determine everything that is missing. The prolonged delay, uncertainty, conflicting information, and failure to safeguard and timely deliver her property have caused significant stress and hardship for our family.

I hired this company for an interstate move, and problems started immediately.
They showed up late (started at 5:00pm) for pickup and didn’t leave my house until around 2:30 AM, which was extremely disruptive for my family. Bonus, they increased the price on the day of the move and made last-minute changes to documents that were not clearly explained.
Now the situation is worse. They missed the delivery timeframe, and as of today, I have no idea where my belongings are, no delivery date, and no real communication. Every time I reach out, the response is just “there is no update.”
I’ve also been told my items are not even on a truck, even though I never authorized them to unload or store anything.
It has been 40 days that they have been keeping my belongings hostage. This has caused a lot of stress and disruption.
If you’re considering this company, be aware you could end up with no answers, no timeline, and no visibility into where your belongings are.
