GNE Shock!
I’ve been with GNE for a couple of years and had no problems. App worked well and no billing issues. Surprised to learn they’ve now ceased trading. I thought with a strong established Italian parent company they were a safe bet. always wary of new entrants as it’s not an easy business to break into.
Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking. No pun intended. Days after signing up to Green Network Energy, I receive an email advising they are no longer trading, and EDF have been given their customers by Ofsted. This was not my choice, so I am less than impressed. If they were in trouble they should not have continued to 'recruit' customers.
Not a good way to conduct a business by any means.

I'm not surprised this company has gone bust! Shockingly bad for the 12 months we had to stay with them. I honestly didn't get a correct Electric bill even though I regularly gave Meter readings. There was just one excuse after another! 38 Years I have read a Gas and Electric Meter and dealt with companies with little trouble. This lot were a shambles from top to bottom.

When were GNE going to inform me that they had ceased trading? Purely by accident I came across an article that informed me today. Online app never worked and email communication was nil positives were a very cheap tariff.
Awful company
Awful company. Completed my switch on 19.12.2020 and it was the worst thing i ever did. problems from the very beginning trying to charge me £40 immediately for a supply they had not yet taken over. Robbing chancers and i’m glad the company has now ceased trading. Horrible for the staff but unfortunately this is the BEST result for their customers.

Absolute Farce!!
Transferred across this month only for the company to be going bust. What unnecessary hassle. Really should not be coming up on comparison sites in the knowledge that they are in financial difficulty. Gas and electricity suppliers are a farce at the moment. Paying that little bit extra and staying with established providers seems the best way forward. Lesson learnt.

Having learned (not personally) that Green Energy have gone into liquidation. To day I received an email from them informing me that my contract was coming to an end and to peruse their different tariffs. What for? they are no longer trading.

Class Legal action against the Directors?
Utterly and absolutly how IMMORALY and CORRUPT the TWO ALLEDGED DIRECTORS are.
After declaring themselves BANKRUPT, having £300+ credit, and deducting a further £51 from my account, on the 25th Jan,,,, when they were financially BANKRUPT, then declaring it on two (?) days later,,,,, and now telling me today, 29th January, that I have cancelled my DD,,, and to get in touch with them IMMEDIATELY?
According to a GNE employee posted on Trust pilot, the directors are SABRINA CORBA and PIERO SAULII?
Now I would be interested in others being financially disadvantaged to bringing a Class Action against these two, as they knowingly and willingly carried on trading, and against their Aduitors, who must have known and advised (?) their previous years accounts?
There are legal companys, win or lose cases?

I jumped ship and changed energy suppliers on January 16th (Thank god) I had 11 months of unbelievable stress with this company, which ended up in a case with the Ombudsman, this resulted greatly in my favour and myself being compensated. I would like to say my problems were then over with GNE after the Ombudsman ruling but sadly that was not the case.
I am not in the least bit surprised they have ceased trading but please do not think it was Corona virus that caused their demise ,that is NOT the case.
I too feel they owed it to their loyal customers to have been given some kind of notice before it reached the media.
I also feel very sorry for all staff who have lost their jobs as many I spoke to were friendly and as helpful as they could be due to my situation.
In the end a lady named Donna head of complaints stepped in and sorted everything
out, if it hadn't been for her I would now be out of pocket and waiting for a new energy supplier, so big thanks to you Donna.
I am only putting this on here simply because I feel aggrieved that I never had the chance to put it in a review how appalling I was treated and to warn other potential customers .
You will most definitely be better off without GNE !
I am really disappointed with green…
I am really disappointed with green energy if I hadn’t been watching,The Martin Lewis program last night 28 January 21 I wouldn’t have known about them ceasing to trade, no WARNING what so ever,been with them 3years not good to treat customers in this way
NO RESPECT
I was disappointed to learn the energy green Network had ceased trading on the google news on my phone. It would of been nice to have had heard personally by the company by email or call.
I signed up 6months ago after watching Martin Lewis show as energy prices were rising.
I joined this company with a locked in tariff foe a year and direct debit. Will my Tarif be honoured until my contract is up in June.
Also I applied for WHD Broader band but nothing has been applied even though I meet all the criteria. It say my application is being processed.
Disgusted
Wow the reviews speak for themselves and i agree to every single one of them. Green Network Energy should hang their heads in shame the way that they have treated their customers and staff. They have no morals or respect. I myself was a customer.

Via uswitch decided to switch from sse to Green Network energy on the 19.01.2021
And was notified by uswitch they were no longer trading 28.01.2021.
Luckily I have been able to block the switch intended on the 9.02.2021
Why was this company allowed to continue to take on new customers when they knew they were going bust...

My mother has been a customer since 19/1/21, I have just found out that green network energy have stopped trading ! Why take on new customers when they knew they were in difficulties ? And still haven't had any notification or correspondence informing her of the situation ! Shocking behaviour
Well priced and very efficient
I have just left an energy company and moved to Green Network Energy. The switch over was so easy and they are much cheaper than the company I was with. I am extremely happy with not just the price but also their efficiency. Highly recommended.
Gone out of business
This company came up on the Money Supermarket as we looked for a cheaper deal. It wasn’t the cheapest, but looked a good all round deal.
We applied to transfer - online on 15th Jan with usual 14 day cooling off period.
By luck, I was reading The Times and saw that the company are ceasing trading!!
Calls to Customer Service answered but unable to deal as their computer systems have been locked.
Fortunately able to stay will current supplier - phew.
Why, oh why was this company allowed to continue to take on customers when they clearly knew the writing was on the wall.
