folding tandem- regret my purchase.

First off the price can't be beaten- but you get what you pay for. On the second time we rode the bike one of the pedals broke and sent us crushing on the side of rode. When I contacted Greenzone they directed me to simply buy a new pedal. To be safe we got 4 new metal reinforced pedals for our brand new bike.

During the rides there are all kinds of creaks. I am not sure if this is normal for a folding bike or if this is due to movement of the metal fenders but it is concerning. Almost every time we took it out the chain came off and my wife had to come to my rescue and put it back on.

Also keep in mind that this is a relatively heavy city bike with 7 speeds, where I live there are a lot of hills and it can be very difficult to climb them even with both of us pedaling on the lowest gear; Alternatively biking on the highest gear doesn't get us going very fast.

It is still fun to ride, if I had known about all these issues I would have probably opted for a more expensive folding tandem. I guess it is good if you are unsure whether you will use the bike a lot, just replace the pedals as soon as you get them.

The quality of this bike far exceeded my expectations for the price. Communication with green zone is excellent. I received assembly instructions via email and with the bike. Assembly was a breeze even with modest knowledge of bike maintenance. We have limited space in our apartment. This tandem folds down shorter than my Trek road bike.

I purchased my greenzone bike about 3 years and it's still going strong! Living in NY I needed something convenient and easily transportable. It fits perfectly in my truck and leaves more than enough room for groceries. No need for an external bike rack to scratch up the car.
It was a fantastic purchase...no regrets.

I'm no newbie when it comes to folding bicycles as I've owned two 20" wheel folding models in the past. I did a few months of research looking for a reasonably priced full size folder and the search led me to Green Zone Bikes and 4 months in I can honestly say that I love my Premium Edition FS model bicycle. First off the assembly was very easy as it comes very well packaged and about 80% assembled. Took 10-20 minutes total to unpack and set up. I love that its alloy and only weighs 34 lbs as I was already used to carrying a 33 lb smaller bike. The folding mechanism is much simpler than I was accustomed to even with it being a bigger bicycle overall. The 21 speeds really come in handy because I'm not always on flat or downhill surfaces. I can get to about 16 mph in the highest gear on flat roads. The shocks are great for the off-road as well as city cycling as I'm usually flying off street curbs with no worries. To cut it short I love this bike and it's great that I have to get out and exercise to enjoy it because as much as I love looking at it I enjoy riding it MUCH more. If you want a full size folding bicycle that's reasonably priced and built to get you from point A to B get the FS model. You won't be disappointed!

We love the Tandem Bike. We have had many wonderful rides so far. It shipped earlier than expected and arrived just in time for Christmas. It was pretty easy to put together. It included so many terrific acessories. Thank you Alan and team. It was perfect!!

I bought a folding bicycle from GreenZone for my husband as a gift. We live in a congested area by the beach and many times he has to park his car a distance from our apartment. He keeps the bike in the trunk of his car and he is able to just click it together and ride home. The bike is constructed to be very strong and sturdy and is easy to fold and unfold. The people at GreenZone were amazing and cooperative. I did not have any problems at all.

I just received the 26 inch bike and it is a great bike !!!!!

We bought two. We're having a great time locally, and are looking forward to some car and trailer trips. How often we have been to a scenic area while driving, and wish we'd had bicycles to see the area better. Now we can, without bike racks on the back of the car.
I had one minor issue with a pedal that was a little wobbly, and Alan immediately sent a replacement.
I know we could have spent $1000 or more on a high end folder. But Why? I am MORE than pleased with the quality and value of the Greenzone bicycles. I've been reading up on folders for years, and we're glad we finally made the choice.

I purchased a greenzone bike for my daughter who is attending college. I was in a hurry. I looked around and did not find any local store who sell folding bikes. Having seen great reviews, I decided to purchase one. There are other websites who advertise similar bikes for the same or lesser prices. Bike arrived in a double boxes. No damages to the boxes. However when we open the boxes, we found it was missing paint on several places on the frames (it appears they were chipped, you can easily see the bare metal) along with that their logo sticker itself "greenzone" was ripped. I took some pictures and emailed to them, I corresponded with a person by the name Allan, who said I should buy some paint and repaint the bike so it could look better. As for customer service these people are horrible. He emailed me saying during shipping bikes may get scratched. It is hard to believe, this type of damage is during shipping since both boxes that the bike came in were in great shape. I called them, and a person with an unfriendly voice said he suggest that I should correspond via emails. Since the initial email stating that I should repaint the bike, haven't heard from them again. I saw better looking bikes on Craigslist, however I wanted to purchase a new bike. That is why I bought from them.

I was looking for a spare commuter bike for short hops near my home. I researched high and low all over the internet and in stores. What can I say - the quality of these bikes (and I bought the 'Value' model) - is simply amazing! For $200 I got a bike that easily compares with models from their competitors that are 3 times as expensive. It also came complete - water bottle, bike rack and carrying case!

Each time I called them, pre and post sale, everyone was really great to deal with. They made me feel as though I was an old friend - completely comfortable. You just can't go wrong buying from them...

I live in San Diego, California. I am a retired person, but I have very active life. I have purchased GreenZone bicycle 20'' Premium Edition in June 2015. A took a few photos yesterday of my bike on the beech of Mission Bay in San Diego . I am enjoying my new bike. It has cool looks, everybody likes it. It's really easy to ride, it has great maneuverability and it's easy to brake, stop and stand on both feet at any moment, which is especially valuable in the crowded beech or park situation. Most importantly for me, I can fold it in seconds and put in the trunk of my car and then bring it to any place, unfold it in seconds and enjoy riding it with convenient shifting of 7 speeds. I also ride it around my neighborhood for exercise, small chores and just sheer pleasure. Thanks a lot!

I have had all of the bikes mentioned (4), and sold them. They ranged from 1400-2100$ and I am still scratching my head with the quality and ride of the Greenzone bike 16inch folder - I just don't know how they do it at the quality level they provide - don't even think about it JUST BUY IT.

We bought two of these bikes for tooling around at campsites. we ended up taking them everywhere. We really enjoy the quick breakdown and set up. We also travel with two road bikes that we do M S bike rides with.

However we found it very difficult to ride to the store , bathhouse or other areas when we are between rides.
We feel they are a wonderful purchase.

I recently purchased a greenzone 20 inch premium bike. The bike arrived As scheduled,
I was happy that There was no damage to the box the bike was stored in. I only had to put air in the tires, the bike is so much fun to ride, and it didn't take long to set it up and unfold to put in bag. I took it up to a festival and rode it for hours. People were asking about it, it's a great looking bike. I had one question about a part and receive an email back from Alan who I believe is the owner. Great customer service. I am a loyal and happy greenzone bike owner.

i got the first bike from a shop that had a demo. found them on the internet and ordered a 2nd for my wife. customer service is exceptional, as is their product. details like the warning bell, folding a pedals, fender
and mud guards, and push button shifter make this a great ride. I would recommend them to anyone. And, I like the looks of envy when we pedal down the boardwalk.

I bought the premium edition about 5 months ago. Was ready to go right out of the box. Really enjoy riding it and getting all these looks and comments about where I got it. Easily folds and unfolds in seconds like the video shows, making it easy to transport. For the price, this bike is a great value!

I received the bike and was amazed at how well it handled and the smoothness of the ride on the streets and also on the dirt bike paths to the places I travel. Also, the comfort of the bike was excellent.

The customer service was excellent and I am purchasing a few more bikes for my sisters for their birthdays to have for family recreation and outings.

The bike itself looks great; aesthetically pleasing and a cute fire engine red.
That's about as good as it gets.

I'm going to find a way to return this bicycle. It's driving me insane.



1) It's a pain to fold the bike. Literally a pain. I don't know how the guy manages to push the pin far enough to enable the bike to collapse, but my skinny fingers can't do it. I have to use a pen or an allen wrench to assist me.

2) My seat post froze. I've used the bicycle outside a grand total of two times. I installed it properly, I did not leave it outside exposed to the elements and I took care of it. The damn thing froze up and now it won't budge. The bike costs ~200$. To get it unstuck will cost 60$/hr at a shop.

Come on.

3) The brakes came loose mid ride. Talk about heart stopping. I can't even fathom what could've happened if I wasn't riding slowly on perfectly flat sidwalk.

4) Don't ride the bike over any bumps.

I recently purchased a new car and I didn't want a bike rack. When I found Greenzone it was exactly what I wanted. After some research it seemed like a good bike at a good price. My daughters surprised me with the bike for Father's Day and I love it. It's a great bike. Really fun and easy to use. A few adjustments to the controls are the only thing I've done and it rides nice. Great bike at a great price. I use it riding around the Flashlight Drags events in western PA.

Got my bike a year ago on a GMA deal. Flat tires after a few minutes, not even when riding it.
Seat Post won't adjust, it went up but then stuck and won't adjust and has scar marks on post now. Bracket to fold bike sticks, and can be very hard to fold. Also bolts on the seat keep getting loose so you spin when riding.

I have sent a couple of e-mails and they go un-answered.
I do not recommend this bike and wish I had not got roped in on the Deals and Steals. Do your homework!

So after discussing with Green Zone about my problems I have now got a new seat post that is much higher quality. They offered to send one if I changed my review, but I had already ordered one. The bike is folding now that we have worked the spring latch a bit with WD40. I figured out how to fold it by working it and then using a screwdriver to pry the latch which is a spring loaded pin. You will not see this on any video, they just show pulling it and bending it but you do need to pull up on the latching piece to pop the pin out. I was doing that but it was stuck in the locked position. The seat post must have bent in transit and then it got wedged in, so once out we replaced it. Also used the supplied bracket on the new post and not just bolting it to the bare pole, is much better. The bike does ride nice and shifts well. The bag tears easily that came with it. If you order one make sure you take pictures of the box if damaged, and put bike together right away. This was my mistake. Still not sure why I had trouble with a response from Green Zone to an e-mail a year ago and a phone call with this issue, but a bad review got quick attention and they were on it after that.
So hopefully all is good and the bike will now be trouble free.
