Die Pumpe wurde eingeschickt Dez. 23... nach 3 Monaten noch immer keine Info erhalt und mein Installateur muss jede Woche nachfragen, aber wird immer vertröstet.... Jetzt Ende März sollte ich die Pumpe dann bald mal haben, da mein Rasen bewässert werden muss. Nie wieder diese Firma...

One star but it should be minus five! I’ve had to wait 6 days just to get an appointment for an engineer to visit a home booster unit and will have to wait a further 3 days until they arrive…… .Your response that you were contacted on the 18th only compounds the problem. You were contacted on March 13th. Your system for dealing with this matter is so long winded it took days before we got a date for an appointment. In the end we spent £360 and your engineer was only on site for around 30 minutes. That has to be the worst value for money going. Another minus 5!

Regenwaterpomp Scala2 blijft draaien als een gek maar natuurlijk net buiten garantie gevallen. Blijkt dat het toestel Scala2 een slechte reputatie heeft want de electronica flipt volledig ook bij andere klanten. Het enige wat de klantendienst kan zeggen is dat ik dikke pech heb. Triestige service, best ander merk kiezen.

Noticed a leak under the pump. Sent one mail to Grundfoss and the next day they had replaced the pump under warranty.

Very professional and their fitter Terry was a good guy to deal with.

fantastic customer service (ireland)

like most people, i've read mixed reviews but can only talk about my own personal experiences. My scala2 pump started to playup a few weeks back(continuous running issue) - raised this directly with grundfos via their online portal and I provided everything they requested - I received an email response within 4 hours, phone call from local engineer within 3 days and pump replaced within 7 days..

Im Juli 1999 Stabpumpe auf Nimmerwiedersehen versenkt

Im Juli 1999, wurde bei mir eine Unterwasserpumpe "Grundfos 3 SQ 3-49" als Wasserversorgung Komplett Paket in meinem Bohrbrunnen versenkt. Seit dem habe ich die Pumpe nie wieder gesehen. Bis heute, Stand 25.02.2024, läuft die Anlage problemlos! Danke für so ein zuverlässiges Produkt.

I'd rate it -00 if possible. We installed a Scala 2 in our brand new home the first week of 7/18. It failed late and we called. They said it was a recall unit and replaced it. Installed 10/3/21. 2/8/24 leaking like a rusty canoe. My neighbors have this same pump... Most for 10+ years. Were all on the same well. I feel the replacement pump in 10/21 may have been on the recall list. Can't reach anyone though, I was on the 281-994-2700 number holding for 2 hours. Sad way to do business, Grundfos. Sad. Sad, sad...

Grundfos Scala 2 pump customer service failure

Grundfos Scala 2 residential water booster pump and Grundfos Customer Service

I have owned 2 Grundfos Scala 2 residential water pumps in my home. All installation was performed per manufacturer’s guidelines. The operating parameters of the pumps were well within recommended ranges.

Both pumps developed leaks after approximately 12 months of service. My review of online information found this to be a common problem with this pump model. There is a two year manufacturer’s warranty on this pump from the original date of purchase.

No attempt was made to diagnose the problem in my first pump and it was replaced under warranty by the Grundfos distributor. When the second pump failed one year later, it was not covered by warranty since it had been slightly over two years from the original purchase of the first pump. My distributor recommended that I contact Grundfos customer service.

I found Grundfos customer service to be unresponsive to my questions and disinterested in my problem. They would not give me any technical support to help me resolve the problem. I was unable to find any local pump repair shops who were willing to service this pump. I offered to send the pump back to Grundfos and have it repaired at my expense. Grundfos stated that they did not offer this option for service to residential customers.

So I was forced to tear down the pump and try to repair it myself. I was unsuccessful despite multiple attempts using Grundfos replacement parts. The following repairs were attempted:
1. Seal and O-ring replacement with Grundfos seals and aftermarket non-OEM seals
2. O-ring replacement and attempted O-ring resizing around impeller shaft housing
3. Impeller shaft sleeving with stainless steel shaft replacement sleeves
4. Inspection of impeller shaft, bearings, and variable speed motor control unit. No damage and pump was operational with excessive leaking from bottom drain hole of pump.
5. Pressure tank replacement

Obviously I was extremely disappointed with the function of two Scala 2 pump units with each developing leaks after 12 months of operation. I was mostly disappointed with the lack of customer service support from Grundfos to a residential customer.

I would strongly advise against purchase of a Grundfos Scala 2 residential water pressure booster pump.

I would also strongly advise against purchasing any residential product from Grundfos Corporation because of their unresponsive and disinterested customer service representatives.

Grundfos Customer Service and Tech support

This the only time I have ever written a review so that’s testament as to the strength of my feelings.
I bought a Grundfos Macerator from a dealership,
unfortunately there was an issue and I wasn’t happy with the option they offered. In desperation I turned to the Grundfos main office.

On contacting Customer/Technical support, there was a completely different attitude. The team were both professional and knowledgeable, answering questions, returning calls promptly and offering workable solutions. I now have a fully functioning system.

I cannot speak highly enough of there competence and would not hesitate to both recommend and purchase further equipment from Grundfos.

Leaking Grundfos Water Pump (part number 98562865))

Hi,
I did a major upgrade/retrofit to my house in Ireland and installed a new Hitachi Heat-pump to replace a Gas Boiler. During the upgrade the plumber advised that I use a Grundfos pressurised water pump to provide a good water flow to my sink taps and showers as Grundfos were considered a premium brand of pump. I went with it and in fairness the first few months it worked a dream. That is until one day a few months later I noticed a water leak underneath the pump when I opened my hotpress to grab a towel. I reported this to the plumber and in fairness to him, he replaced the pump as quickly as he possibly could. He did mention to me that the pump supplier, that he bought the pump from, told him that there was a known leak issue with this particular Grundfos pump and that all replacement models should have the issue fixed. I went with the replacement pump in good faith, assuming the replaced pump would have no leak issues. That is until a few days ago, when I noticed a wet patch on the ceiling downstairs in the kitchen/dining area and I called out a guys who installs showers to have a look. I did assume that it was a shower tray leaking, but the shower installer diagnosed the issue to the Grundfos water pump leaking. I couldn't believe that lightening has stroke twice with the same Grundfos model pump leaking, eventhough I'd been told that the design issue leak had been fixed. In both cases, the Grundfos pump was installed for approximately 7-8 months before the pump started leaking. This time however, the leak was more serious and my downstairs kitchen/dining ceiling is destroyed. I can't understand why a company with the reputation of Grundfos does not recall all installations of the model (Part number of the pump:- 98562865) that I have, as there is clearly a design issue with the pump. I have since read numerous bad reviews online about this water pump complaining about the exact same leak issue that I have encountered. This has caused me serious stress and hassle, and I will be looking for Grundfos to pay for the costs of the damage caused by the leak to my ceiling. I really feel sorry for the plumbers who install this model of Grundfos pump as they have to replace the pumps on their own time which is not right as it is at their own expense.
Not a happy Grundfos customer and I certainly will make sure that a Grundfos pump never enters my house again.

Great customer service …

I'm not just saying this because Grundfos have agreed to replace my 4 year old pump but the company's customer service has been great, the response to emails has been same day or next day and they have listened and I believe responded fairly, even the chat function on their website worked well, big thanks to Kelly for taking my case personally so I didn't have to speak with a different person every time I sent or received information about my case. Great product and customer service 👏

Excellent customer service

Our pump was installed 11 years ago and only recently we started to have an issue. I contacted customer service Ireland last week and was advised that as it was out of warranty they could not send out a service technician and that I would need to get an independent plumber. However this gentleman from Grundfos spoke at length to me telling me exactly what to tell the plumber to do. Today the plumber came and I rang Grundfos again and put the plumber on to the technician and together they resolved the issue. The pump of 11 years is working perfectly. I was so impressed by the service from Grundfos considering the warranty is well passed. I would not hesitate to recommend them as a company.

Grundfos Scala Hauswasserautomat

Die Pumpe hielt nur 3 Jahre. Beim Versuch sie zu starten flog mehrmals die Haussicherung. Jetzt hat sie ganz den geist aufgegeben. Es leuchtet nicht mal mehr eine LED. Elektronikdefekt. Da haben billigere Pumpen schon deutlich länger bei mir durchgehalten. Ich werde keine Artikel mehr von Grundfoss verbauen.
Update: Der Händler LED TV Shop hat freundlicherweise angeboten, eine Garantieprüfung beim Hersteller zu starten. Ich solle die Pumpe jetzt zum Händler schicken, wobei er ein gratis Rücksendeetikett zur Verfügung stellt. Der Händler würde die Pumpe zum Hersteller weiterleiten. Dort wird geprüft, ob es sich um einen Installationsfehler, oder einen Bedienungsfehler handle. Nach 14-18 Wochen! wäre der Prozess abgeschlossen und es könne entschieden werden, ob ich ein Ersatzgerät bekommen können. Mal davon abgesehen, dass 14-18 Wochen schon eine lange Zeit sind um ein Gerät zu prüfen, so hat zumindest der Händler alles gegeben, um kundenfreundlich zu handeln.
Ich werde berichten, wie sich die Angelegenheit entwickelt.

Update Dezember 2023:
Nach ca. 6 Monaten Wartezeit, kam die Pumpe immer noch nicht von der Garantieprüfung zurück. Ich habe die Lieferfirma nochmals angeschrieben. Ich hoffe auf eine baldige Lösung. Falls nicht wird sich ein Gericht damit beschäftigen müssen. Schade, dass sich eine bekannte Firma wie Grundfos, ihren Ruf durch solche Handlungen zerstört.

Update Januar 2024:
Nach erneutem Drängen beim Händler, bekam ich die Nachricht, dass Grundfos meinen Garantieantrag (nach einem halben Jahr!) immer noch bearbeiten würde. Interne Kommunikationsschwierigkeiten und ein Sachbearbeiter auf Urlaub seien die neuen Probleme. Für mich hörte sich das ganze nur noch lächerlich an. Ich setzte eine Frist nach deren Ablauf ich die Angelegenheit gerichtlich weiterverfolgen würde. Darauf kam die Antwort, dass sich einiges getan hätte und ich mit einer Erstattung rechnen könne. Es fehle nur noch ein Beleg von Grundfos. Wieder geschah nichts. Ich schrieb erneut eine Email an den Verkäufer. Darauf bekam ich eine Antwort, dass der Betrag meinem Konto gutgeschrieben werden solle. Bis dato habe ich aber immer noch kein Geld erhalten.

Had the grundfos pump for 6 months and…

Had the grundfos pump for 6 months and it stopped working. They were extremely unhelpful. Have since spoken with a number of pump suppliers who say grundfos is not as good as it used to be.

Our products also come with a 2 year warranty, so unless the requirements to qualify for the warranty have not been met or voided for some reason, there is no reason, in the unlikely event there is a fault, that you shouldn’t be able to notify your place of purchase (the local or online dealer), provide proof of purchase and receive a new/replacement pump under warranty.

The pump (91595125) only lasted 6…

The pump (91595125) only lasted 6 years. Wasn’t clogged or dirty, just wore out. I would stay as far away from the Groundfos brand as possible.NOTE: Grundfos left a reply asking to provide more information which I did but they never bothered to reply after contacting them via email (no phone number was provided). Apparently their reply was just left to appear they care about customer service for people checking reviews. I would leave zero stars if possible.
REPLY RESPONSE: I was not given a tracking number in the email response from Grundfos. The email only said that someone would contact me soon.
So after given an email address from Grundfos so they can discuss the issue I contacted them and they sent a reply email stating someone from their company would contact me shortly. That was a month ago, tells you all you need to know about their customer service.
I was asked to provide a reference number today (1/22/24). That reference number is GF_8334592.
Once again (1/26/24) I was asked for the GF tracking number. I provided this tracking number as asked on 1/22/24 but here it is again GF_8334592.
Still waiting on any communication from Grundfos.

under no circumstances instal these pumps . i have had 3 fail and customer service cant so anything for months, I have to contact my installer and get them to come out at my expense. failed pump in under 2 years, new pump failing after 7 days. ROTTEN

Oversvømmet kælder! Køb noget andet!

Oversvømmet kælder takket bære dårlig Grundfos pumpe. Ikke nok med de ikke anerkender at de sælger noget skod. De vil også have 4 uger til at undersøge den - velvidende ingen kan undvære en pumpe sp længe og derned må man købe en anden.

Vi beklager naturligvis de oplevelser, du har haft med pumpeløsningen.
Ud fra din beskrivelse tolker jeg, at du allerede har fået hjælp fra din lokale vvs-installatør til at få pumpen testet på vores serviceværksted.
Her bestræber vi os altid på at komme retur med svar på eftersynet så hurtigt som muligt, og håber naturligvis, at du ikke vil opleve yderligere udfordringer med pumpen, når du får den retur.

Skulle det modsatte være tilfældet, vil jeg meget gerne høre fra dig igen.

CMBE literature is misleading

CMBE literature is misleading. I purchased a CMBE 1-99 pump for my well re-pressurization pump. The electrical spec indicates it is a 200–240-volt unit. What they failed to tell you is that it's a single-line 200-240 volt input into the unit. That works great in most of the world but not here in the US. Power here is 2 separate 110–120-volt lines to make 220-240 volt. The only way to make this pump work in the US is to purchase and install a step-up transformer at an additional cost of $750.00.
The actual design of this pump system is great but shame on Grundfos for the misleading available information.
Also, good luck to anyone trying to contact Grundfos in the US. All numbers lead to an automated line trying to forward you to a distributor and then hanging up on you. 3x calls yielded the same results.
I also talked to 2 separate distributors about this issue and they had no idea about this issue either.
