- Concerned about abnormal vaginal bleeding? Abnormal unprovoked vaginal bleeding commonly occurs from the uterus. At The Gynae Centre we can perform an investigations to determine the cause and recommend the appropriate treatment, putting your mind at ease.
- Is penetrative sex painful (or even impossible)?
- Vaginismus is a rare condition which involves involuntary contractions of the vaginal muscles which leads to pain and difficulty in having penetrative intercourse, inserting tampons and undergoing smear tests. Fortunately, vaginismus can be treated effectively with Botox. Our success rate with this treatment is 90%.
- Well woman checks – reassurance at all stages of life
- Finding time to visit the doctor isn’t always easy. It’s worth remembering that although time is precious for everyone, it’s not nearly as precious as our health. Thankfully, health checks don’t take long and needn’t be expensive. Early screening in the form of an annual well woman check can save lives.

The best we could have asked for
In what was a very traumatic and worrying time in mine and my husbands life, the team at The Gynae Centre were outstanding throughout.
We sadly needed a termination due to my waters breaking & our local hospital could not do a surgery until well over a week later & I could not face a natural miscarriage or medical termination.
My sister had been calling clinics and the Gynae Centre kindly help their last appointment of the day for me until I could check I could get to London in time.
My consultation was thorough and informative, I was also given stronger antibiotics there and then as well as a referral letter should I need to go to A&E that night.
On the day of my surgery, the nursing team called to check I was ok through the night and on the way to the clinic. We then had pre-op chat with Dr. Eskander - I felt reassured and comfortable throughout.
The surgery itself was well managed, quick and the nursing team (in particular Ava) were so caring and compassionate. I could not have asked for a better experience in what was a very sad time in our lives.
Even after we were home from London, the clinic called to see how I was and advised me of concerning blood results which resulted in me getting more bloods taken locally and luckily being back down to normal levels. The care was just brilliant.
I would recommend The Gynae Centre again and again.

Dr. Shaza was wonderful. She explained everything clearly and in detail, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured throughout the whole process.
The nurse, Brigitte, was also lovely and very supportive. She really knows how to make you feel at ease and helped reduce my anxiety and stress.
I had a very positive experience with both of them and truly appreciated their kindness and care.

Very welcoming and professional clinic

Great experience but potential review prompt reconsideration
I had a great experience, the staff were really helpful, everyone was really nice. Additionally, everyone responded quick and I really needed support that was quick at the time which is why we chose to go private. Because of this, I have gave it 5*.
However, think a bit of mindfulness around the mental impact of an abortion should be considered because being asked to leave a review the day you get your tablets feels very insensitive - I just think this is something the practice should consider going forward. Maybe wait a week before prompting reviews because last week I think I would have rated it 3 just based on that prompt.

Although some staff were kind, my delayed procedure left me conscious through severe pain and bleeding before sedation. I also had no effective Mandarin support during the anaesthetist’s assessment, was charged a disputed interpreter fee, and received a medical report with the wrong birth year. The clinic then privately said its investigation was ongoing while publicly claiming a “thorough investigation” had concluded. These contradictory accounts destroyed my trust. For your own wellbeing, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.

We note that you have now posted two reviews concerning the same matter after your request for a refund was declined. Your original two-star review, published approximately 48 hours earlier, praised our consultant surgeon and nursing team, with criticism limited to the anaesthetist and a brief clinical delay. It was only after your refund request was refused that the original review was withdrawn and substantially rewritten to include a number of additional allegations which, following our comprehensive investigation, we consider to be unfounded.
Our investigation included a review of the contemporaneous clinical records, staff statements, witness accounts and other available evidence. We remain satisfied that your care was appropriate throughout and that the matters you raised do not constitute grounds for a refund under our published Terms and Conditions. Repeatedly publishing or substantially amending reviews containing allegations that we consider to be unfounded does not alter the evidence or the outcome of our investigation and, in our view, constitutes an abuse of the review platform.
As a gesture of goodwill, we offered you a complimentary routine follow-up appointment, separate from the emergency post-operative care already included within your treatment package. Following the complete breakdown of trust arising from your subsequent communications, that discretionary goodwill offer was withdrawn.

Wrong patient details, changing explanations and poor management
My date of birth was recorded incorrectly in my patient records. My procedure took place on 29 July, but the surgical paperwork recorded 20 July, and other medical documents also required correction. I received conflicting explanations for the delay. My package included a post-operative follow-up, yet the clinic presented it as a “free” apology and later suggested withdrawing it after I challenged this. For your health, choose another provider.

Thank you for your review and for acknowledging the care provided by our consultant surgeon and nursing team.
We are sorry that your procedure started approximately 12 minutes later than scheduled. Our investigation established that the delay was due to your consultant surgeon providing additional care to a previous patient whose procedure required more time. In healthcare, patient safety must always take priority, and unfortunately unforeseen clinical delays beyond our control can occur. We are pleased that our nursing team was able to support you and help soothe your discomfort as much as possible while you were waiting.
We are also sorry that you experienced communication difficulties with the anaesthetist. As part of standard patient safety procedures, the consultant anaesthetist is required to carry out their own pre-operative assessment using a structured safety questionnaire before administering sedation. We regret that the language barrier led to a misunderstanding during this process.
An independent Mandarin interpreter had been arranged for your initial consultation, which lasted 30 minutes, together with an additional 15 minutes of interpretation. An interpreter was not arranged for the pre-operative assessment because your consultant surgeon is Mandarin-speaking and was able to communicate with you directly, avoiding the need for you to incur the cost of additional interpretation.
We are pleased that your procedure was completed safely and successfully without complication.
Whilst we regret the delay, it does not qualify for a refund under our published Terms and Conditions. Following a thorough investigation, we remain satisfied that your care was appropriate throughout and that there are no grounds for financial redress.

I had a very positive experience at the Gynae centre.
Dr Tang listened and did a thorough evaluation of my situation,
I never felt rushed, the staff were all very respectful.
My problem was identified and the correct treatment was given.
So all in all I would recommend the Gynae centre.
Im taking off one star because of the procedural aspect, I was told to pay in advance the full cost of the treatment and consultation a day before, I also didnt appreciate being handed a form to fill out rating my experience. I felt pressured In that moment.
Other than that it was all good.

With regard to your comment about pre-payment, this is our standard policy as we are a fully self-funded private clinic. Payment in advance secures your appointment, confirms your commitment to attend, and helps minimise missed appointments, allowing us to offer available slots fairly to other patients who may be waiting for care.
Regarding the patient satisfaction form, this forms part of our quality assurance programme and is entirely voluntary. It helps us monitor the standard of care we provide and identify areas where we can continue to improve our services. The form is completed privately by patients in the waiting room, without any member of staff observing or influencing their responses, and there is absolutely no obligation to complete it if you prefer not to.
