I have had an operation and cant maintain my garden at the moment. I needed hadges trimmed, lawns mowed and general tidying up.They turned up on time and did the work I needed doing efficiently and quickly.

They didn't turn up at the arranged time and it took 45 minutes of increasingly angry phone calls to get them to admit they weren't coming.

We have had gigantic growth on our shed roof & side gap for years. Some of it coming from the adjoining garden. We didn't know what to do. We've used Handy Gardeners before. I called them & Mia picked up. They came & did an excellent job for under 2 hours which cost me £127 & 2 jumbo bags at £60 each. I was very happy with the result & will keep the roof of the shed roof & gap nice & tidy. Thank you Handy Gardeners. I will use them again.

Really happy to have found Handy Gardeners! They arrived on time and finished the job 1/2 an hour quicker than we had been quoted so actually reduced the bill! They did a great job and took all the garden waste away with them and there was a lot. I will definitely be using them again and can't recommend them highly enough.

Avoid this company at all costs. I asked for a quote for trimming a bush in my garden. Was told to submit photos for an accurate quote, which I did, and asked for the quote to include the labor and removal of garden waste.

Was told the quote would include the removal of the waste up to 3 bags. Went ahead, and when the gardeners finished they tried to charge me over significantly more than was quoted. Apparently the waste included was only 3 small bin bags, and in the small print of the quote they sent over it says £60 per jumbo bag. What was the point of sending them a photo and asking for an accurate quote?

On top of that I was charged for the full 2 hours when it only took them 50 minutes, the gardeners also cut down our washing line.

used Handy Gardeners for the first time today. Marin and George came to clear my garden.
Worked hard and did an excellent job. Pleased with the service I received.

Appalling. Booked them well in advance to start tidying up my overgrown garden. Half an hour before the scheduled time they called to cancel, giving two different excuses (it would take too long/they had a sudden emergency). Next offered date more than a week later, but unsurprisingly I turned this down. Avoid!

Appalling. Avoid at all costs.
I took time off work having booked them for the first time. They didn't turn up - because it was raining. Nobody contacted me - I only found out because I rang them. And it was hardly raining anyway! Gardeners, who won't work in light rain in the UK??? Give me strength...

Absolutely AWFUL. I booked 2 gardeners for 1.5hrs and they came as labourers not gardeners. They cut my front hedge and made a massive mess of the cuttings and it took 50m for 2 ment o do that job, which left no time to do the back garden as they were now late to their next client.
I told them they had to at least mow the lawn, so they did it with a STRIMMER as they could not be bothered to bring in the lawn mower!
They left grass cuttings everywhere and did not finish the job I had booked- utter disgrace.
I was reluctant to pay them a penny, but I did and decided I would write a poor review- to let people know NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!
Waste of time and money! I will inform Trading Standards as well.
They call themselves Handy Gardeners but trade under Fantastic Services - so beware!

These people are not gardeners. Be weary of seeing a tidy garden when you arrive home if you leave them to it. They strim everything, no pulling of weeds it will all grow back in days. I asked them to pull the weeds but each time I left they were back on the strimmer, all on my ring camera. They strimmed expensive plants like alliums saying they were done for the year when they had not even flowered yet. The men who came were labourers not gardeners and knew absolutely nothing about plants. I specifically looked for a gardening firm because I wanted gardeners. They told me I would get two gardeners. I got two men not two gardeners. There are more poor reviews on Google reviews but the trick is they advertise under one name and then arrive under another!!

Be weary also that they are attached to a service called Woodford Green Gardener's.

Lewis and William did a great job sorting out our garden. Highly recommend them.

This is the second time I have used this company. They are extremely hardworking and committed.

I needed my lawn mowing and a general tidy up..
Two gardeners came .. one elder and one younger but both were brilliant..
Didn’t waste anytime.. both cracked on with the job and within two hours.. garden was transformed..
Once completed.. I was asked to check if everything was ok..
Will definitely use them again !

I booked this company because they advertise themselves as local to West Hampstead, but the experience was disappointing. They sent two workers who barely spoke English, making communication difficult—we mostly relied on gestures and pointing.

Despite specifying that they were coming to a small garden and asking them to be extra careful with the plants, this information was not passed on to the workers. They were not qualified gardeners and had no idea which plants were which, so asking for gardening advice was out of the question.

Another red flag: payment was made to a personal account rather than a business one, which seems shady. The workers were friendly, but they left in under two hours while charging for a full session.

Lastly, their website only features glowing reviews, but customers are not actually allowed to leave reviews. I emailed them the day after the service asking for a link to submit feedback and never received a response.

This company is not legitimate, and I would strongly advise against hiring them.

Very poor service. Workmen did not speak English so communication was a big problem. They did a very bad job of putting up two fence panels and a post. They did not finish the job but said they would return two days later but did not. I phoned the office and they said they would come in another two days but did not come. I had to pay another workman to finish the job. I asked for a partial refund from their overpriced invoice but they refused.
Do not use this company.
