On time, fixed the problem, nice guy & explained everything.

I called Happy Drains for assistance with water backing up into my kitchen. I reported the symptoms as a “blocked sink”, which is all I could reasonably describe as a customer. However, the underlying cause was never properly diagnosed.

The attending engineer later wrote that he was “uncertain if other flats connect to this pipework,” yet the final report still stated the issue was internal to my flat. No CCTV investigation or tracing was carried out, despite this uncertainty. This left me with a conclusion that contradicted both the physical symptoms and the engineer’s own notes.

When I disputed the findings, my concerns about the incomplete assessment were not addressed. Instead, the company relied on my initial symptom description as if it were a technical diagnosis, which it wasn’t. As a consumer, I can only report what I see — it’s the engineer’s responsibility to establish the actual cause with reasonable care and skill.

Although I ultimately chose to pay the invoice to avoid prolonged stress, the experience left me without confidence in the accuracy of their assessment or the way my concerns were handled. I hope future customers receive a clearer and more thorough investigation than I did.

I booked them the day before, they gave me a 4 hour window. They did not come or even call, when I called and said that this unprofessional she literally said you can cancel and go with someone else.
So unprofessional! Im not letting them in my house.
Update after their reply : I wasn’t aggressive but I was firm that it was unprofessional as I called 1 hour before the window finished and called when it finished, so I was doing your job of reaching out. Offer a better service before victimizing yourself into saying the client was aggressive. The only thing that was bad on my day was your unprofessionalism when I sought your help to deal with my sink that flooded the kitchen.

Had a nasty blockage in our vertical internal soil stack last month, which I could not shift by aggressive plunging with drain unblocked from above, or vigorous ridding from the external manhole.
I contacted Happy Drains at 9.00am, where the receptionist was very helpful and very clear about their costs. Just before 11.00am Damien turned up as promised, having phoned me on the way to reassure me that he would be on time. He wasted no time looking at the problem and listening to me recount my efforts to date. He then unloaded all the equipment he needed, including a video camera system and a rotating chain mechanism on a flexible coil. In less than an hour he had cleared the stubborn blockage, checked the condition of the underground and soil pipes, removed a load of built-up scale and cleaned the pipes and manhole, at all times with a smile on his face and a very positive attitude. I would highly recommend both Damien and Happy Drains to anybody. Their costs are very reasonable and much less than the quotes received from the larger well-known companies. I will definitely use them again if the need arises. Thanks guys.

What a great respones I had from Happy Drains. I was unsucessful in trying to clear a blocked domestic drain and once again my patio was flooded.

I called the number and was quickly reassured that an engineer would be able to attend my property.

I was given a time slot and was really pleased when the engineer arrived early.

He quickly diagnosed the problem and very quickly managed to clear the blocked drain. He was able to use minimal battery powered equipment that could be carried through my terrace house to the back door.

I was given some useful tips for preventing the build up happening again.

I was very impressed with this company and recommend them to anyone needeing a drain cleared.

Lady in the office was fab, they came within 24 hours. Very friendly and professional and sorted my blocked drains/pipes very quickly. Would highly recommend, and price very good too.

I cannot recommend happy drains enough, we had a difficult angle and the young chap had his head down the manhole and arm up the pipe to get to the blocked pipe, absolute ambassador for the company.
I will be only using this company from now on.

The expert that came to my house to clear my drain clearly new what he was doing and had all the right equipment, however he was completely unsuccessful at the job. My drain is still block and he went away having achieved nothing except to tell me that the drain was blocked, which I already knew. I did expect some sort of reduction in the cost due to the non result, however I was still invoiced the full amount.

03 November happy drains went back again to sort out the problem of blocked drain. overall very good would highly recommend. Prompt service from making the call to completion of works

We have used Happy Drains before, they always turn up on time and are efficient. They solved our problem so no complaints!

Did what they said on the tin - gave me a happy drain. Called them on a Saturday and came on the Monday first thing. Good communication throughout and would certainly use again.

We had an emergency issue on the weekend and a very helpful and highly professional young man called Oliver just saved us by coming late night and sorting it all out. Not only he fixed the blockage but also did everything to prevent it from happening again and gave clear and reasonable recommendation how to prevent it. Thank you, Oliver!

I could not fault the service I received from Happy Drains. They responded quickly to the need to unblock my drain. Unfortunately, they could not fix the problem as it was a central drain blockage which was also affecting my neighbours . However they went out of their way to ensure Anglian Water were contacted , giving clear details about the nature of the blockage and the problem was resolved later that day by Anglian Water. No charge was made for their call out and I couldn't rate their support and professionalism more.

The issue meant unable to use the kitchen sink, shower and dishwasher so a real pain. They came the next afternoon and freed the blockage within 15 minutes. Also tried to have a look as I was worried about tree root damage. Very professional, friendly and efficient
