Customer service not helpful, won't work with you. Daily emails that spam your email!!! Just signed up, never filed a claim!!! This much stress without filing a claim, I can't imagine what filing a claim will do!!!! Ask for Bonnie!!!!

The vets in my area have become very expensive and I don't know what I would do financially if something were to happen to one of my pets. A friend recommended Hartville. I was happily surprised at the cost of monthly insurance. The process was super quick, efficient, and affordable. Once I joined, I was sent a plethora of useful information about Hartville and how to make a claim. I am hoping never to have a claim but am confident that if I do, the process will be as easy as it was to join. Thank you. ~Terri

From regular checkups to an emergency, expensive surgery, Hartville has saved us tons of stress. I've had a wonderful experience both via email and on the phone with representatives. Submitting my own claims is simple and getting reimbursed really puts our mind at ease when it's time for a vet appointment.

Absolutely horrible, called about changing my dogs policy to complete coverage, had an apt at the vet that week, was insured by the rep that if I switched my policy everything will be effective the day after which should have been 10/26/2022, I asked him to make sure my previous policy did not cancel until new one was fully in affect. Made sure to ask him NUMEROUS times about making sure my dog would stay covered and when the new policy would come to affect because I would not have switched that day, and he “promised” me that I would be fine and the entire policy would start 10/26.

Got an email stating only half of my policy went into effect on 10/26, and complete coverage would not be until 11/9. Also found out my previous policy was cancelled and not kept open to make sure my dogs insurance did not lapse.

Found out my dog had cancer at the vet, because of this mix up from the lovely rep just looking for a sale, my dog was not covered for her vet apt, and now her cancer is considered a pre-existing condition, leaving her with absolutely zero insurance.

Maybe take some of the money you make pet owners overpay, and put it into training your insurance reps.

Need to talk to someone to understand why I cannot just have preventative insurance instead of accidental. Tried calling and number does not work.

If I could give zero stars I would. Having been with them for over 10 years my pet now is elderly. He has thyroid issues and I cannot get any claims paid going forward stating its now preexisting from renewal to renewal. Its not ever going to be cured so they will not pay. This is so unethical it's shameful. Because of his age I am stuck with this policy. I use Trupanion for my other cats they are upfront and a great company. Do not use Hartville they are a terrible company.

I've never had a bad experience with Hartville. I've used Hartville to insure my dogs for almost 5 years and through many medical ups-and-downs with my older dog, they have consistently been quick to respond, supportive, and considerate. Their prices are also reasonable, especially for older dogs. Recently revamped their online system and it's quite great.

Everything was easy peasy from signing up to getting my first reimbursement after my puppy went for shots

So far so good.... Signing up was easy, everyone was very pleasant and explained the plan well and answered all my questions. I hope I never need to use it but I'm at peace knowing my furbaby is covered.

My best friend has been to the vet numerous times since May for diarrhea. He ended up getting a sonogram and an endoscope. He was diagnosed with IBD. He is now on medication that hopefully will help him. I had bills for 3 vets, which amounted to well over $2500. Thankfully, after my deductible, they paid 80%. I called to make sure I could send bills in for 3 vets, all involved in his care. Customer service was so helpful .

We have had a few incidents and Hartville has made a very stressful time easier for my husband and myself.
