They are charging an extra 2% pa sales tax. Customer service said I was flat out WRONG. Like I don't know the sales tax where I live. I called admin, they said I WAS RIGHT. They are Overcharging but that's what their tax company said and even though they are WRONG, they still have to OVERCHARGE. WTH???

I am currently waiting on an order that was placed at the 1st week of September. It was a rather large order, and my expectation would be that it would be shipped within 2 to 3 weeks. It has been 4 weeks going on five, and I have only recieved the backorder. There was a time when a customers needs were met with expedient friendly and excellent customer service. If you do not send it a refund, or another replacement order placed for the customer. Why am I telling you this you should already know this fact. Your company will be bought or fold with your lack of concern.

I've ordered from Herschners many times and will continue to use them as my go to for all my crafting. . They are the only company that constitute send me catalogs without having to ask. Love everything just wish I could spend more with them. They offer everything I want or need.

Be wary when ordering from them.

I bought around $247 worth of yarn and I only got $175. Meaning I'm missing $70 worth of yarn.

So I want a partial refund right? Cause why should I pay for something I never got? That's illegal.

They still haven't given me a refund after 2 months.

While the director has reached out now, before customer service never seemed to know who to send me to or what to do, they wouldn't send me to the higher ups or a manager for 2 weeks because "she's not in right now."
Finally they got a manager to speak with me over the phone but she lied saying she sent me the items. Obvious nonsense. Cause if it was in there, it would've been.

Don't buy from them, cause you never know when they might forget to add something and then pin it on you saying you're a liar.

How can you trust people who don't even package your order correctly?

I have waited for 3 weeks to have someone call me about an error in a cross-stitch product. I was told the person who could help me works only once a week and the person I was speaking to knew nothing about cross stitch. However, someone would call me back. That was two weeks ago.
In addition to that, the quality of the lap quilt was not what it appeared to be. I was expecting a lap quilt and what I got was preprinted thin sheet like fabric.

This company is a mess. A downright mess. I ordered something for my mother and they managed to screw it up twice. They don't refund shipping charges and you have to pay for returns. If you can find another option to purchase your crafts, go with them. Overall, the service from this company bottoms out the charts with the worst.

Husband wanted to surprise me with a beautiful Phoenix latch hook kit. He ordered not knowing the post office would refuse it for the post office box. My husband called Herrschners as it got sent back to them. They said they would resend it to our house. Husband paid around $143... suddenly got refunded only $82.82! So dishonest! That's far more than shipping and 20% restocking fee!. Husband said costumer service was not helpful the first time he called. I don't know if he has called again yet.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Placed phone order in Jan 2024 because had issues with order placed online in fall of 2023. Never received confirmation email as promised. Called 1 week later for status. They couldn’t tell me but supervisor said they would call me in a week to make sure I had received order giving name and extension. Never called back so called and asked to speak to her at given extension. Rep refused to transfer me and also was unable to tell me order status. 3 weeks later, order finally arrives without any invoice. Have ordered from this company for 40 years but last 2 orders have been very poor quality and customer service is non-existent!

I love their products but — don’t expect any information about the order being shipped or when it might arrive. I even contacted customer service and got no response.

I placed an order and no where during the ordering process did it state that the items I ordered were back ordered till March. I got an email saying the order shipped and I followed the tracking of it. Imagine my disappointment opening the package that contained part of my order (a thimble!) and a statement saying the rest is back ordered. I never would have ordered them if I knew that was the case! Very disappointed!

Received On the Farm Book kit. The yarn, from China, is the cheapest crap I've ever tried to work with. Static electricity makes it impossible. Only one mistake in the instructions, so far. Will NEVER order a kit again!

I placed an order back in october or november. I ordered 40 skeins of yarn. One part of my order came (10 skiens) the rest it said was on back order. Ok that's fine. Then for some reason they decide to cancle my order. I then called and fixed that and they then said it will arrive in december. Ok that's fine. Then again, when the time came to receive the remainder of my order, it didn't come. I called again. They appologized and fixed that and said it would now be january before one part would be dilivered then the remainder would arrive in February. Ok sure. Not happy about the length of time but fine, I will wait. Then AGAIN they canceled my order! I call again now for the 4th time to now have them tell me they wont be sending it because it has been disconinued! I am beyond disapointed and very unimpressed with the customer service I have received. I do not think I will be doing business with them any longer. I have had too many instances of delayed or back order shippments and I feel my time and money would be best spent some where else.

I put my order in to Herrschners for some yarn that was on sale that my mom had wanted me to buy for her for Christmas, and Herrschners canceled the order saying they were out of stock of both of those yarns a few days later and cancelled my order. That was literally supposed to be my Christmas present to my mom. It was on sale for $3 a skein, when the yarn was originally $12.99 a skein. Due to having a lot of financial issues right now, that was something I could afford to get her, and now that's gone. This close to Christmas they did that. Getting my 71 year old mother a present now that I can afford, is going to be very hard to do. I wrote them letting them know how unhappy I was that they did this this close to christmas, and they never responded to the email. Thanks for nothing Herrschners!!

I purchase the Christmas ornament kits and always have to come up with some kind of work around to complete the project due to the shortage of beads to make the project. This time I could not do it as I needed 13 round pearl corsage pins and did not have anything on hand to make do. I called once and the were supposed to send them out to me but I never did. I have now placed a second call and hope to get what I need. I have an expensive ornament that I cannot complete and wanted to put on the tree but dont know that I will ever be able to.

I have been a customer for many years. I had a delivery of a skein of yarn to astray. Customer service person that I spoke to refused to make it right, saying, "This is not a crisis." I make 12 lapghans for charity every year and they are due at the end of this month. So yes ma'am, it is a crisis. They have basically stolen my money for yarn and shipping and refuse to send me another skein.

Herrschnerrs, was a great place to get crochet pattern kits. Or I used to think that up until today. Back in June I Placed an order for a diamond ripple afghan kit. I was told that it was on back order until August. Well, here it is August, and not a word from Herrschners about when to expect my order
So, I get on the phone and speak to customer service
I was told that this pattern was still on backorder and then it would be September before I would get it. I was not really happy having to wait another month. I was asked if I wanted to wait. I said no. I wanted to be refunded the $ 79.99 I paid for the yarn. Apparently the order had already been canceled. This was news to me I was never notified of this. After speaking with customer service , I was told that this pattern was no longer available and discontinued. I did recieve my refund. I still got my yarn, but bought it locally. Since. I was not going to wait for another month . Poor communication. & Customer service. Too bad Herrschners, was a great Company, but not anymore
I won't be a returning customer.

I order several of there crochet afghan kits and some diamond dotz kits. I believed I was missing one of the kits and got the run around about where it was and they stopped responding to my emails. The kits were expensive but it was supposed to be a treat for me. When I opened the box, the yarn was just thrown in the box and the directions were just printed on copier paper. I was disappointed. They don’t care about their customers. I won’t order from them again

Herrschners used to be my go to yarn store. Dependable products, shipping and competitive e pricing. And it’s been a while since I’ve shopped there so the changes I noticed brought me up short.
As usual I clicked on and ordered my choices, and as usual I entered the advertised coupon. It didn’t work, and after some time consuming research I discovered most of their coupons don’t work for their Canadian clientele. Oops, yes I’m Canadian.
Ok, so the prices are still good right? Nope, they used to charge us in C$, but now it $US and it’s converted after purchase, you don’t get to see the real cost until you get your credit card statement.
Then, click the speedy fill your order button. Yup the order was filled the next day, but the shipper doesn’t pick it up for 7 days. I might as well have saved my money on that one.
Finally, it’s winging its way to me, what thus it has to go through customs? And I’m being charged duty, plus brokerage fees to the shipping company. It used to come from a Canadian warehouse and we never paid duty before.

Final result. You’ve lost me as a customer. Herrschners is no longer competitive…I can get the same product here in Canada cheaper.
Herrschners is no longer fast shipping……I’m still waiting for the package to land after 2 weeks.

I ordered a paint by number kit with 5 canvases. I didn't get the 5 frames that went with the kit because I thought I would get them when I am done with the kit. Well now I want the frames and they don't sell them anymore, but they still picture them in the catalogs. That's false advertising. I am never going to order anything from them again.

First time on this site. Leisure Art stitch markers listed for $17.99. Added to cart. Then checked other items. Accidentally deleted item from cart. When I added the item back you jacked the price up to $24.99. Seriously!
