Be aware of Hertz Poland, they don't pick up the phone
Be aware of Hertz Poland. I had a very bad experience. I rented a car on Sunday 4 in Modlin airport at 10:00. On Saturday I tried to phone on several numbers and several times but no one picked up the phone. At last I sent an email to the reservation department to inform them that I would pick up the car between 12:00 and 13:00 in stead of 10:00. When I arrived on Sunday at Modlin airport, there was no one. I phoned the number mentioned at the desk but nobody picked up the phone. At last I phone the accident department of Hertz to get in contact with someone. After several phone calls, they told me that I should take a taxi to Chopin airport to pick up the car there. In Chopin airport the guy was very friendly en apologized. I had some appointments that day that I had to cancel. Afterwards I wrote an email to the complaint department to ask to pay me at least the cost of the taxi between Modlin and Chopin airport. The CRD department answered a standard email that they don't want to compensate because there service center doesn't work in the weekends so they could'nt see my email on Saturday. But I tried to phone to several numbers on Saturday and Sunday but nobody picked up. I wanted to inform them that I should pick up later, but I could'nt inform them. So a very bad service: as a rental company they have to be available by phone on weekends. I will continue to ask them for at least the compensation of my taxi costs.
