BUYER BEWARE! Before you decide to buy something made by Hewlett Packard please check their website for phone and contact information in case you have a problem with a Hewlett Product. You will immediately notice that is "impossible"to find a direct phone number to talk to an agent who may help you resolve the issue. Instead they are gonna make YOU WORK. By doing this their hope is that you will just get discouraged and buy the same Hewlett product again. This way they make more money. GOOD LUCK trying to navigate their website to resolve an issue. It could take hours. Were talking about one of the worst companies in the United States of America. You want to be careful.

Why do I bother doing business with HP?

Why do I bother doing business with HP? I guess I'm one of those people who can be fooled all of the time.

I ordered a premium laptop (a Spectre) and spent more than $2000 for it to replace an aging HP Envy laptop. It is "plain jane" PC with the addition of Microsoft Office and 1 TB of SSD storage, rather than the usual 512GB.

I ordered it on March 21 with a projected delivery date of April 23 -- a month to customize my order by adding a bigger SSD and Microsoft Office. Then, HP pushed the delivery date date back to May 10. Seems that a bigger SSD and Office was a customization too complicated for HP's manufacturing and logistics system to accomplish i a timley fashion. Then, the PC gets shipped from China, clears customs and then gets stalled in Fed Ex's bureaucracy for 10 days to ship the PC from Memphis to Colorado. HP, in spite of the millions of $$ of business it must spend with Fed Ex is helpless to influence Fed Ex's bureaucracy and expedite delivery.

It took less time to ship the PC from China than Fed Ex/HP could promise to ship the PC from Memphis to Colorado. But it took HP's manufacturing in China about a month to add a 1TB SSD drive and Microsoft office. I added a 1TB SSD drive to my old Envy machine in an hour or so after watching YouTube "how to videos", but it takes HP's experts a month or so for that customization. Go figure.

HP's "Customer Service" does not work on weekends BTW, so you can't call them to inquire about the status of an order on Saturday or Sunday. And they want me to buy a service pack from HP. Right, I'm gonna do that.

Next time, I'll order a Dell or a Lenovo or an Apple. Maybe they will want my business.

Don't Buy HP; Get A Computer With Linux

I'm now using my 3rd hp computer and I have no idea why I bought another one of theirs. I will never buy one again and I've had way too many problems to list here. I also had one of their printers and I don't advise buying one of them either. I recently bought my first computer with Linux and all I can say is buy a computer with Linux.

I recently bought an Envy Laptop and…

I recently bought an Envy Laptop and pen (and extended warranty) totaling near AU$2,000. The sales person (on the phone) said the pen that I was buying was compatible with the laptop. Clearly this pen is not compatible with the laptop. It has never worked. There have been about 30 emails backwards and forwards, at least 10 WhatsAps message and approx 5 phone calls supposedly trying to 'resolve' the issue. You would think it would have been cheaper to simply give me a refund. HP even went so far as to send me another pen in case the first pen was faulty, and the second pen didn't work either. They are just trying to fob me off. They have passed me around from department to department and none of them have any intention of resolving this. All I would like to do is return the pens and receive a refund. They just keep asking for more details, more pictures etc. They are flatly refusing to give me a refund of $72. Like other people on this website, I have experienced the same truly awful treatment. They simply refuse to accept responsibility for a product that either doesn't work or won't work on the laptop they said it would work on. I will never buy from HP again and I warn anyone who is reading this to think twice about buying from HP Online. They do not respect their long term and loyal customers.

I had a hard time getting service for…

I had a hard time getting service for my HP strea. Bought in June needed service in September. Took to preferred local repair service provider. Cost $90 for them to tell me they could not duplicate the problem but they had cleaned up the software. Had to bring back a few days later for same problem. Told it was a touchpad issue and would have to go to HP for repair. Took two tries to get return package to send computer back. When i called the second time the rep sold me an extended plan but forgot to put in the repair order.

Shocked. I expected so much more from HP than other lesser known companies.

I bought an HP printer and laptop…

I bought an HP printer and laptop hoping that it would last for a couple of years. But surprise, both of the products didn't even last for a year. I had it fixed but a couple of months after, the printer and laptop started acting up again. I just heard from a local technician that HP products are no good. I totally regret buying it. Such a waste of money.

HP customer service is nonexistent!

HP customer service needs a complete overhaul. I’ve spent the past few days trying to contact them and have wasted well over five hours in the process. I started with their website, which directed me to email them as the only option for support for products over $250. I emailed and received a response two days later telling me to use online chat. I went to online chat and waited an hour to connect with a rep, who almost immediately redirected me to call their customer support number. I called that number and waited on hold for over 2.5 hours (!!!) with no response. I reached out to HP via Twitter explaining my difficulty reaching customer service, and they directed me to the website again. After reminding them I’ve already tried that (and all of the other options), they directed me to call again. I’m not wasting another 2.5 hours on hold just to be redirected yet AGAIN!

They are literally sending me in a loop when all I’m trying to do is exchange a laptop. This is something that is as simple as a click of a button with other retailers! HP requires that you contact them to get a RMA number for any return or exchange. If you buy anything from them, you better hope it is in pristine condition and you never have to contact customer support. Oh, and they require that you contact them within 10 days of receiving your product or you’re out of luck. I think they’re purposely running out the clock. Stay away!

Servizio assistenza a pagamento 24H…

Ho chiamato il numero di assistenza 24H, accettando che fosse a pagamento perché avendo urgenza di lavorare con un PC improvvisamente morto, necessitavo assistenza immediata.
Bene, sono rimasta 2 minuti e 1/2 (al costo di 3,75€) solo per ascoltare il lentissimo messaggio di benvenuto. Poi altri 6min di attesa sentendomi dire che ero la prima in lista e presto mi avrebbero assistita. Finiti 10€ Di credito per ascoltare la loro musica ho chiuso la chiamata senza alcuna assistenza.
ORA:
1. Vero che io ho accettato di pagare 1,5€ x minuto in ASSISTENZA, MA NON in attese. Un prezzo al minuto così elevato dovrebbe essere pagato dal momento in cui l’azienda provvede reale assistenza al cliente, non da quando comincia ad intrattenerlo con lunghi messaggi di “benvenuto”.
2. l’azienda dovrebbe inoltre avere la decenza di AVVERTIRE il cliente in attesa dei minuti mancanti alla risposta dell’operatore, per una questione di cortesia e per non fargli perdere tempo e denaro.
UN PESSIMO SERVIZIO CALL CENTER

If I could give them a negative number…

If I could give them a negative number I would do it. On Sept. 15th I took delivery of a Mini-in-one 24 Display that I bought from HP online. It cost me $269.54. I got it home, took it out of the box, hooked it up, and turned it on. Much to my displeasure, it did not work. The next morning I started calling HP service at 800-474-6836. Over the next 24 hours, I talked to at least 10 different people trying to figure out what was wrong. On Wed the 23rd I finally had had enough, and I decided to return it. When I called to get a return authorization number, I was told that the warranty on the monitor had already expired and they could not take it back. Even though I had only just received it.

That was the last straw. Even this turned out to be a monumental chore. They refused to believe that I had received anything after the warranty had already expired. After arguing with more people than I can remember I was finally given an RMA. You have to be incredibly persistent to the point of being a pain in the ass with these people to get anything done.

I will never buy anything from HP ever again. They are far more trouble to deal with than they are worth. There are competing products for less and without the hassle.

Peasant laptop buyback experience.

I had a very pleasant experience with HP recently. I had a defective unit. It was sent back twice for repair. It still kept crashing. Aidan the case manager processioned a buy back and I was able to switch it for a new better model. He was very helpful throughout and made the process very smooth.

It S***S when internet is needed just to install SW

I never liked HP, although I worked a lot with their equipments professionally. But not to my satisfaction.
Now I needed a small, not that expensive color printer.
For a studio apartment without an internet connection. Yes this still exist. By choice. And guess what?!
You can NOT install software without accepting the rules online. How stupid can this be?!
First and last time I bought an HP equipment. Useless tool which never will be used.

Uno dei computer più usati dai programmatori.

La fascia dei computer sono eccezionali e risultano tra i computer più utilizzati nelle aziende informatiche. Hanno una variante di prezzi da bassi ad alti. Ottime prestazioni, unica pecca è il monitor, specialmente nelle fasce basse, i monitor non sono proprio dei migliori. Quelli di fascia media sono tra i migliori, anche di monitor, che si trovano in commercio. Quello che ho comprato, di fascia bassa a 350€, funziona ancora dopo 8 anni e non si è mai rotto.

Never purchase from HP

I bought a laptop in May in July the microphone & speaker went out on the laptop. I called HP the representative took me through some steps to try to hard reset the laptop to see if that would fix the problem. That didn’t work, so he said I needed to send the laptop back. I explained I’m in the middle of a school semester & needed my laptop. I was told I would have it back in a few days. That didn’t happen I got a text saying that I’ll have it back 8/28. UNACCEPTABLE I’ve been in contact with a manager ever since & was asked to provide a school schedule to verify that I’m in school so they could expedite my laptop. They created a label 2 weeks ago that still hadn’t shipped & now he won’t answer my calls.

HP doesn’t value their consumers, they don’t care about you or your situation. Why have me send a school schedule etc if you’re NOT going to help me? I wouldn’t recommend HP to my worse enemy. I should’ve just went ahead & purchased the Mac Book Apple doesn’t treat their customers like this.

Ottimo computer da gaming

Ho comprato un computer portatile da gaming della gamma OMEN 15 lo scorso Dicembre. Siccome era la prima volta che mi approcciavo a questa gamma, ho aspettato qualche mese prima di lasciare una recensione. Devo dire che mi ha lasciato soddisfatto. Le prestazioni sono ottime e il design è accattivante e ben progettato. Leggermente più pesante dei netbook da "ufficio", ma normale visto che si tratta comunque di un computer da gaming.

Computer crashed - warranty not honored

I purchased a HP Notebook in September 2019 for some independent contracting I do. As I was using the laptop the screen started jumping and lines began to form. I closed down the computer and rebooted to find a completely unreadable screen. The computer was never dropped or damaged. I spent the better part of 3 days talking to several HP reps to be told they agreed no damage appears to be done but they can't guarantee that my warranty will pay to have it fixed. Yet, they encouraged me to send the laptop in regardless. I refused to send it in and be charged an insane bill for repair when I can have it repaired locally and most likely cheaper. This is terrible customer service and HP basically loopholes the heck out of their warranties. If their computers are this cheaply made I suggest you find a different brand especially since they don't honor their warranties.

WASTE OF MONEY unfit for purpose.

Husband bought me a laptop that converts to tablet for Xmas. Great for 2 months then cannot update and continually crashing. not enough memory. Tried to contact seller no reponses obviously knows it's crap. Have cleared the memory of all apps progs that can be cleared and continually getting message out of memory or cannot update lack of memory. Totally useless. Version of windows running on it is also nearly defunct and wants to update but ..... yes can't do that because not enough memory. Have just written off nearly £200 as a bad buy, Am furious. if this had been car or washing machine trading standards would be after them and not fit for purpose. Avoid at all costs and go for a different company.

Assistance HP scandaleusement incompétente pour une nouvelle imprimante "Officejet Pro 9010" achetée début 2020 !

J'ai acheté une imprimante HP Officejet Pro 9010 début 2020. Elle a fonctionné correctement pendant 2 mois. Puis j'ai eu tous les jours des problèmes récurrents de perte de connexion avec mon PC. S'agit-il d'une mauvaise mise à jour de pilote qui a subitement planté mon imprimante ? Le logiciel de réparation « HP Print and Scan Doctor » n'a pas permis de résoudre les problèmes. Mon imprimante et mon PC m’indiquant que mes pilotes étant pourtant à jour, j'ai alors cherché à contacter par téléphone le service assistance HP, mais sans succès en plein confinement. Le contact n’est possible que par WhatSapp. J’ai fait appel à HP et non au revendeur DARTY car je pensais avoir un dépannage rapide, vu que c’est le fabricant du matériel. Le 1er appel WhatSapp a été effectué le 09 avril 2020 pour un diagnostic et un dépannage. Après maints échanges, le 27 avril, soit 21 jours après !!!, j'ai dû jeter l'éponge devant tant d'incompétence de leur assistance. En effet, les techniciens m'ont tout fait faire : désinstallation/Réinstallation de l'imprimante HP 9010, tentative de mise à jour du pilote (échec), désinstallation/Réinstallation de leur application propriétaire HP smart. Ils m’ont fait « poirauter » de nombreuse fois, prétextant, je cite « avoir des lenteurs sur leur outil » de travail. Aucun diagnostic pertinent, digne d’une telle entreprise, n’a été effectué. On m’a fait télécharger des mises à jour qui ne fonctionnent pas ! HP n’a pas développé pour la 9010 un pilote qui soit opérationnel. HP m’a balladé, prétextant même que ma Box SFR était peut-être mal paramétrée. Ben voyons, facile de se dédouaner sur la Box, sachant que le Wi-Fi fonctionne très bien sur mon tél mobile et mon PC.
Le 24 avril, soit 16 jours après le 1er contact, le Responsable du service sur WhatSapp, un certain Yahmed, écrit je cite :
« Je suis navré par rapport au délai d’attente mais assurez- vous que nous sommes en train de faire de notre mieux afin de vous apporter la bonne solution. En attendant de revenir vers vous, nous vous prions d’accepter nos sincères excuses pour cette gêne occasionnée. Votre dossier est transféré à la cellule expertise, donc dès que je reçois la réponse je reviens vers vous. Rassurez-vous, le souci sera rétabli le plus rapidement possible ».
Puis le contact est rompu sur WhatSapp à 17h30 au lieu de 18h00 prévu. Car le Week-End arrivant, HP se permet de fermer l’assistance 30 mn avant. Et depuis, plus rien, aucune réponse à mes relances. HP fait « le mort » depuis. Scandaleux !
Je me suis alors tourné vers l’enseigne qui m’a vendu l’imprimante, à savoir DARTY. Là, un technicien a pris la main à distance sur mon PC et a pu constater l’échec de l’installation du pilote prévu pour la 9010. Après avoir fait divers essais et tentatives, il a déclaré la Box hors de cause. Il a mis 1h00 pour diagnostiquer et installer un pilote en manuel (car impossible en automatique). Il a réussi à me faire fonctionner mon imprimante. Et n’en déplaise à HP, la Box SFR et mon PC n’ont rien à voir les pertes de connexion. Et mon imprimante n'est pas en panne. C'est tout l'environnement informatique HP Print et l’Assistance HP qui ne sont pas à la hauteur !
Conclusion : Chapeau au technicien DARTY très professionnel ! Honte aux techniciens et Responsable HP ! N’achetez pas d’imprimante HP ! Leurs pilotes ne sont pas aboutis, leur assistance est incompétente et pire, HP vous propose sur son site @, de payer si vous voulez une option SAV complète. Donc une assistance gratuite ne sert à rien car HP méprise ses clients, emploie des techniciens mal formés et donc incompétents. Le comble pour un des leaders spécialistes mondial de l’informatique. Donc si vous achetez du HP, espérez ne pas avoir de problèmes. J'aurais bien mis zéro étoile, mais on ne peut pas !

Send the wrong order and not taking…

Send the wrong order and not taking responsibility in replacing it with the correct product.
1) I placed an online order for the HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0121tu on 6/2/20. This was the OLED model with 2TB HD.
2) I received a wrong product from HP. The product send was not what I order. It was HP Spectre x360 convertible 13-aw0111TU. This was not the OLED model and only had 1TB HD.
3) I placed an enquire online regarding this on 14/3/20. Ticket #3203.
4) Eventually, after days of replying to all the question your team put to me and sending all the relevant pictures, they said they would replace the product.
5) A dispatch courier was organised by HP and send on the 3/4/20. This pickup was organised and the item collected by Direct Couriers. No documentation was provided. I have text message confirming collection with no documentation.
6) Communication from HP since item collected has been poor and both prompted after I enquired
a. 6/4/20
b. 14/4/20
7) To date I have not received the produced I initially ordered from HP. It is now more that 3 months since the initial order was placed.
8) I called today 24/4/20 and was told that HP customer care has not received the documentation from the couriers and hence a replacement cannot be sent. I was also told that even if a replacement is to be send there is no ETA, as it will depend on the availability of the item
