Active leak, a carer with a vulnerable mother, and still treated with contempt!!
I reported an active leak that runs into my floor and explained that I’m a carer for my vulnerable mother. The earliest appointment offered was almost four weeks away. Their contractor has since failed to turn up twice, sent texts saying a plumber was arriving when he wasn’t, and then marked the job as finished when nobody had come.
Because the leak can’t be contained, I can’t leave my flat, so my mother is now staying with me in a home that smells of damp and mould. When I call to chase it, I’m left on hold for up to 45 minutes and cut off, and I’ve been told by the out of hours service that nothing can be done because Hexagon staff have gone home.
This isn’t a one-off. I’ve had repeated leaks from the flat above into several rooms over the years that were never properly fixed, to the point where mushrooms grew in my son’s bedroom. No apology, no phone call, no accountability. If you’re a Hexagon resident with a repair, document everything and escalate EARLY.
