Poor quality, doesn't look like it does on the website, premium price for cheaply made products from India. Ghosted after return - still waiting weeks later for a refund that was promised to be 'immediate'.

Don’t be fooled by the slick Instagram ads or the "artisan" vibe. Hides is a masterclass in bait-and-switch. I ordered on Dec 18th, lured in by the promise of "1–3 day processing." It’s now late January. No bag. No tracking. No honesty.
​The "Hides" Playbook:
​The Ghost Line: Their customer service number is a total prop. No one picks up, and there isn't even a voicemail set up. Try calling them—it’s a dead end.
​The "Vacation" Lie: After 3 weeks of silence, they claimed they "took two weeks off." No out-of-office email, no site banner. Just your money sitting in their bank while they "relax."
​The Personalization TRAP: This is the shadiest part. They offer "Free Embroidery," but READ THE FINE PRINT. Once you get that "free" upgrade, your return policy and satisfaction guarantee are VOID. They use a $5 embroidery trick to strip you of your consumer rights.
​They are likely using "ghost" stock or bot-driven reviews to stay afloat. Do not give them a dime.

I ordered an expensive leather satchel which had their alleged warranty. It arrived defective and unusable. I sent a dozen emails, made 8 calls and one letter. It’s like the disappeared from earth. Never a response. Don’t buy anything from them. The leather products are misrepresented and they do not warrant any product. They buy overseas and claim otherwise. Not a reputable company.

I bought a belt from this company last year. This thing is just trash. what looks like a burnished leather edge is a bit of rubber that peels off almost immediately after first use. The buckle isn't even brass! it's just pot metal painted yellow. Just an awful product.
