I was one of hundreds of ex-pats targeted to invest in an investment. The details of this investment were misrepresented in terms of risk, assets, security, due diligence, protection. In reality over £8m got paid into a dormant company with no assets and the money vanished leaving all the investors with nothing. This was not the first time Holborn Assets did this. Their client services in Dubai do not respond to emails, and the wealth advisors simply forward all complaints to Dubai. Such investments sold included putting money into Godwin Capital, Empire Special Situations etc. I have spent 4 years trying to deal with Holborn Assets, to no avail.

A Holborn representative by the name of Colin Estlick talked me into the fixed income products offered by Godwin, indicating its reliability, track record and regulated nature. All of which are a lie, and all money was lost - the firm went into administration. Colin was mostly interested in getting you to refer more people into this pyramid scheme to which I gladly didn't respond. Once Colin left, I did not go with him to his new firm and was handed a new account manager. Once he also left the firm, no one at Holborn responds to my inquiries to date. New sales managers do keep reaching out but cite confidentiality when I ask them to check my file. Stay away from this firm that has no oversight over what it offers and runs away when things go south.
