The removal team were efficient even in the rain. The only thing that could be improved on is regular updates on arrival times if they're delayed, as I was waiting around for the truck to arrive and could have been taking loads to the new unit. Other than that, a great experience from sales right through till the truck left the house.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this company.

Our move began with the crew arriving later than scheduled. In my view, the job appeared to be understaffed, with an additional and seemingly less experienced worker joining later in the day, which I believe contributed to the move taking significantly longer than expected.

I also recommend exercising caution before providing your credit card details. In my experience, my card was charged after the move without what I considered to be my authorisation, and I was unable to obtain a satisfactory explanation despite attempting to contact the office.

The post-move customer service was, in my opinion, extremely poor. My concerns regarding damage to our belongings were not resolved to my satisfaction. I also discovered documents that I believe were signed on my behalf without my permission. Additionally, I later became aware that telephone conversations had been recorded without my knowledge, which raised serious concerns for me.

This review reflects my own experience with the company. I encourage anyone considering using their services to carefully review the terms and conditions, understand their consumer rights, and make an informed decision.

A great experience with Holloway Removals from the initial phone contact / follow up calls to the Boys arriving on time, working hard and doing a great job. Nothing was an issue and made the process easy. Appreciate your assistance, would highly recommend.

Good communication before and during the move and good follow up after.

During the quote phone call, I have particularly asked for if there is any call out fee. The lady called Loverna confirmed in the phone call that no call out fee will be applied under my case. On the moving day, 2 guys who came to move are polite and good in general. Although it took longer than I thought. It's a one bedroom they spent 3.5 hours plus 30 mins travel time to my new place. In the final billing, they charged me call out fee 30 mins. When I called back to their office. Loverna replied rudely insisted there is call out fee and asked me to check the confirmation I signed as call out fee included. That's it without any explanation or apologies. They didn't even bother to check their phone record..This obviously she made the mistake in the sale call. They charged me total 4.5 hours, A$199 per hours. Be careful what they confirmed you and what they actually sent you to sign. I learn my lesson. Their customer service indeed need a lot of room to improve.

I would never use this company again, i recently used them for a move from sydney -> melbourne

Let me start by saying the 2 lads that finalised the move on the Melbourne side were awesome, handled absolutely everything with very little input from myself. They were friendly and professional.

It's such a shame the Sydney side of the move was almost the complete opposite. 2 key factors attributed to this:

I had explained about 6-7 times to different members from your team before that time I was not at that location and to please call me for any/all issues during pickup. I did not receive a SINGLE call from your team that day, in fact the only time I spoke to someone was when I called your support line. As a result, my mother was stuck in the middle of a 3 way communication where she did not have enough information to handle it. You guys were significantly more expensive that competitors, but part of the reason I went with your team was the assurances I received during the sales process that your team could handle any/all enquiries with me directly whilst being remote

It's quite interesting that I received this email after pickup, noting that this is not my signature and once again did not receive a single call (i've also confirmed my mum was not asked to sign anything at that time):

Secondly, I compltely understand that the removalists could only pick up what was on the invoice, however it is extremely disappointing that I extremely was clear during the sales process that I was not familiar with exactly what information you needed from me to quote this properly. I even sent photos through to your sales team to confirm that the quote was accurate and this was to be included. I was assured that everything here would be included

As a result I'm left without a lot of my things which is extremely disappointing. I signed up for a service that absolutely has not been delivered, the lack of communications and organisation has been astounding

This has to be the worst company for trying to rip off customers. Keeping goods as blackmail to extort money.

Sam and his assistant were very professional and helpful. They worked tirelessly and knew exactly what item were to be packed first etc.

Avoid Holloway Removals.

This was, by a considerable margin, the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

I gave clear instructions for everything to be removed from my property. Despite this, Holloway Removals left behind my refrigerator, washing machine and microwave. They also damaged a wall during the move and failed to report it.

Rather than accepting responsibility, they claimed I had instructed them to leave the items behind. I provided copies of every written communication I had with the removalists, which clearly showed my instruction was to remove everything. Despite having that evidence, they never addressed it.

Instead, they charged me approximately $700 to collect the three items that should have been removed in the first place. I repeatedly asked them to explain the charges and refund the money, but they never provided any meaningful explanation and only offered a partial refund.

Even after lodging a formal complaint supported by evidence, Holloway never addressed why I was charged to correct their own mistake, never acknowledged the damage to my wall, and never accepted responsibility for what occurred.

This wasn’t an isolated issue. I was also initially overcharged, staff repeatedly arrived without the access instructions I had already provided, and my emails were routinely ignored.

I cannot recommend Holloway Removals. If accountability, communication and customer service are important to you, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The experience was seamless - the staff were so polite and efficient and it all happened without any issues

Boys arrived exactly at 7am and got to it -
Fantastic!!!! We were loaded up and ready in 50minutes!!! Excellent!!!! On the road and then unloaded in a flash - Super happy!!

I had an appointment today at Cheltenham to try to access my storage container. This was booked last week. Nobody was there, the fence was padlocked at Keys Rd. I rang and spoke to a female phone employee. She said someone from the warehouse would return my call. This was about 1030-10.45 this morning. I am still waiting for that call. It took me over an hour to drive there. I am not happy with this service

The communication was fantastic. Living in another state and organising blind son removals was daunting enough, but the team at Holloway's were so amazing. That was for the first part, the pick up. I can only think that the arrival of our son's gear will be just as smooth. thanks Team

We recently used Holloway for our interstate move from Brisbane to Sydney. While we appreciate the efforts of the removal team in completing the relocation, unfortunately our overall experience was quite disappointing.

Communication was excellent during the quoting and booking stage, but once the booking was confirmed and the invoice paid, responsiveness dropped significantly. We sent multiple follow-up emails seeking updates and clarification, but rarely received direct answers or simply passing around like a ball. In most cases, the only way to get a clear response or have issues addressed was by calling the team directly.

Upon delivery, we also discovered significant damage to both our fridge and bar drawer unit. After trusting the company with our belongings during a long-distance move, it was extremely frustrating to receive items in a damaged condition.

To make matters worse, we paid extra for full insurance coverage, yet we have still been advised that an excess applies when making a claim. This was disappointing and not what we expected when purchasing additional insurance for peace of mind.

Interstate moves are stressful enough without having to deal with poor communication, damaged furniture and appliances, and unexpected insurance costs. Based on our experience, there is definitely room for improvement in both customer service and the handling of customers' belongings with care.

Very good removealists, efficient and effective and very careful, thoroughly recommended.

We found that the men were mostly careful moving belongings and respectful of our wishes. The service was efficient. The delivery was later than scheduled which resulted in late night noise.
Unfortunately our refrigerator was switched on immediately by the mover resulting in fusion of its motor.

I found Holloway Removals to be efficient and reliable.. they were punctual and took care with more delicate items that were being stored. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Would not recommend this company, changed dates and times consistently, called an hour before business close and advised they could not pick up our belongings and eventually came after 7:30pm. Delays in delivering our items and I regularly had to call them for updates when our things didn’t arrive when they said they would. Everything was eventually delivered 13 days after collection after lots of phone calls and days spent waiting around. Couch also was damaged with tears/black marks and fabric on draws was very dirty.
