Compré un Hoobs pro en 2023 y nunca recibí el producto, he contactado con ellos en multiples ocasiones y sólo hacen que darme largas, no hay manera de que devuelvan el dinero. SON UNOS ESTAFADORES.

I’m giving 1 star only because 0 isn’t possible. My customer experience has been terrible: I’ve been waiting more than 2 years for my Hoobs Pro order and still haven’t received it. The only replies I’ve had are vague promises and generic messages saying I'll receive my order, but without any concrete information or a delivery date.

Update after Hoobs' reply suggesting I open a ticket: I have already opened at least 2 tickets, as the customer support platform has changed 1-2 times since May 2023 (when I placed my order). But the customer support doesn't provide any help. Here is the reply from the customer support "At this time, we do not have specific shipping dates available for all devices, but we want to assure you that as soon as your HOOBS Pro is shipped, you will receive an email notification with the tracking details. This will allow you to track your order's progress and estimated delivery date."

I purchased my hoobs box back in 2021…
I purchased my hoobs box back in 2021 because it solved integration of everything i needed into homekit. At the time i was not aware 4+ years latter it is as important to my automation as it was on day one. Hoobe does a great job keeping software updated and community plug-in's are generally perfect now when compared to 4 years ago.

AVOID - Company is obviously a SCAM. Take the Purchase money but won't ship product.
Placed order on 10/24 for HOOBS Box (US Plug). They have provided no shipping information. Status since then on their site shows "Your order is being prepared...". I've contacted support who generally deflects to issues with the US policy on shipping from Canada. No idea if or when it will ship. When I asked for a refund, they said it would take 15+ business days to refund. No guarantee of any backstop with the 15+. I think this guy operates our other a mobile home in Canada. He has taken the money and won't ship or provide any status. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO DONATE YOUR PURCHASE MONEY!.

Customer Support has replied and every time they reply is just a standard message of. "Your order is on its way soon.". Asked for a refund and they’ve just not responded.

Mein Anliegen wurde in kurzer Zeit geklärt, und ich fühlte mich während des gesamten Prozesses bestens unterstützt.

How can money can be taken from customers for YEARS and no product sent and nothing gets done about it??
Hoobs Pro was purchased in 2023. After 6 months the update was “it’s coming on the next shipment”. After a year it was “being reconfigured”. Nearly two years later and it’s the same excuse from “support”.
This company outright refuses to refund your money when you request it after not receiving the ordered product?
This company answers emails with the same excuse- “no date but it’s coming”… well so is Jesus!
I have continued to request a refund or actual product on a daily basis. No refund. Terrible company! Fraud!

I waited for the product for over a year, since originally purchasing the Hoobs Pro. It was mostly silence from Hoobs and then there was an update that said orders are processing. Still no product. After many emails to the support team and only hearing that “I’m in the queue” every time that I requested a refund. That refund was NEVER issued. After months of refund requests, requests to email management, and reporting Hoobs to the Canadian and American departments to report fraud did any of the excuses change - almost from bad to worse. They said they could put me back on the wait list. I figured that the money was already stolen, what can be the harm of being back in the queue.
It has been TWO years since purchase. No reasonable person would expect to wait 6 months or 12 months, let alone two years for any product. Even if Hoobs was one guy manufacturing these in his basement, it still wouldn’t make ale two years to fill orders. Perhaps, instead of continuing to sell units to unsuspecting people, there should be a stop on orders until progress is made with the people who already paid for a device.
No product has been delivered. No updates given. No time lines. Only excuses - every time. A quick search will show that I’m not the only person who has had this experience. I’m sure I will not be the last.
The response from Hoobs on Trust Pilot has been the only “progress” made in any of these conversations - unfortunately, they aren’t telling the whole story! My request to be put back onto the list came only after their suggestion and after MONTHS of attempting to get a refund. I have the emails to the “support” team to document nearly two years of communication.
Specifically, on 3/7/25, Hoobs support replied to one of my numerous requests “May we inquire why you would like to request to begin the cancellation process just prior to shipping?”.
Months of weekly emails occurred from this point. When requested to speak to management, it was always “on their desk” for processing.
On 7/23/25, Hoobs support replied to one of my emails
“ Dear Robert Peters,
We are actively shipping out the hoobs, would you like to resend your request and we can have your order placed back in queue for shipping?”
To which I replied- yes, put me back on. After 4 months of requesting , in writing, a refund - I figured the money was already stolen…. what else could happen!
So, the clarification Hoobs tried to present as a response to my review was also a LIE.
Steer clear of Hoobs and the Hoobs Box Pro.
Fraud. Lies. Vaporware.

Hoobs Pro Scam | Ordered 6/13/23
I sit in the same place as many of my fellow customers. I ordered my Hoobs Pro June 13, 2023–well over two years ago.
I’ve sent dozens of requests for updates, refunds, etc. and have gotten nothing but canned responses with absolutely no action. Not only that, but they are STILL ACCEPTING PRE-ORDERS AND TAKING MORE PEOPLE’s MONEY!
This is the most egregious abuse of consumer trust I’ve ever had the misfortune of being subjected to. This company should be ashamed and face severe legals consequences as it has literally stolen, what must be, hundreds of thousands of dollars (if not millions) from its customers.
If you return it; good luck getting your refund
This review is more about customer service than the actual product itself. For the product I purchased it to bridge a number of Amazon lights to HomeKit. After trying for a day to make it work it was clearly cheaper/easier to just replace the lights. But here is where the problem started; with my return. I requested a return authorization and followed those instructions. It took HOOBS more than a week after USPS confirmed delivery to acknowledge receipt and then promised a refund 14 business days after that. It took me over two and a half months to finally get my refund and that only after filing a complaint with PayPal. This despite multiple emails with HOOBS customer service where they promised it was in the works and being prioritized. Terrible customer service.

DON'T ORDER, Dishonest and Keeping the Money!
I ordered a Hoobs Pro 2.5 YEARS ago and still no delivery. When I contacted Support I was told that they were shipping but they could not confirm the date. I have requested a refund on 4 occasions and was told on 6/29/25 that it would take 14+ days. No refund to date.
Really was in their court. I understand production issues but this is really a bit more than that.

Ordered and paid for a for Hoobs Pro, more than two years ago.
Several updates closely after, that delivery would be soon. Then later, got many different explanations for why my unit was not delivered yet.
I have requested a refund many many times (more than 15).
"The manager is approving it today", "We are not able to find your order", "The refund have been initiated", "Its submitted to backoffice for refund" etc etc.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY
Do not buy! I would give this company zero stars if…
I would give this company zero stars if that was possible. The worst experience ever. I purchased the starter kit and paid for expedited service. Weeks went by and the order status kept showing processing. I reached out to support and kept getting lame excuses ranging from tariff delays, postal strike, we’re looking into it etc etc. After six weeks, I reported the issue to my credit card company and filed a claim. The whole experience just felt like a scam. Do not buy!

One year after payment and nothing
Today marks one full year since I ordered the Hoobs Pro. At the time, the company said it would ship “in a few months.” It never did.
By March—five months later—I had already moved on to other home automation solutions and requested a refund. Instead of issuing one, Hoobs told me I was “next in queue” for shipment. I decided to wait. That was a mistake.
Over the past year, I’ve contacted their support team at least ten times. Each time I received the same canned response: “You’re next in queue.” No shipment. No refund. No accountability.
In September, after escalating my frustration, they finally claimed my refund had been “submitted to the back office” and would take 14 days. It’s now been another month. Still nothing.
At this point, I can only conclude this company operates dishonestly. Taking payment, failing to deliver for a year, and refusing to process a refund is beyond unacceptable—it’s fraudulent behavior.
I have now filed a dispute with my credit card company and will also be reporting this to the Canadian authorities.
Avoid this company at all costs.
Do not Buy from HOOBS
I purchased a Pro Box from Hoobs over a year ago and they have still have not delivered my order. When I ask about my order, they give you some generic answer about "you are in queue for delivery". I have requested my money back and they will deflect and give you the same in queue for shipping answer. This company is a fraud, the authorities should investigate for defrauding customers.

Perpetual Processing of in stock item.
In stock item. Paid extra for premium shipping..then stuck in “processing” and ghosted by company. Didn’t have a problem charging my card immediately though. Operations like this don’t deserve to stay in business.
