I ordered the wrong size of pad and…
I ordered the wrong size of pad and they changed it out just before pick up which was so much appreciated. Everything arrived amazingly fast. And the quality of both products is excellent. I love Horse Dream products. I have three wool girths from them and after 3 years of hard wear on many horses(I'm a horse trainer and I do endurance) they are still fantastic.

Super helpful service when enquiring and when I had to return and get shorter stirrup leathers. Cannot fault the service at all. Only tried the cloud twice now but super comfy and look forward to using it more in future :)

Not impressed with the product
Not impressed with the product. Basically made of a cotton numnah, with one strip of webbing over the horses back and a saddle-shaped piece of sheepskin over the top. There’s a large metal ring (apparently to add stirrups! which would be terrible for the horse) right under where your thigh will lie. You could replicate this with a numnah and a surcingle and save yourself £300.

The Werner Christ Lammfelle pads have been on the market for over 20 years. In the design stage they were rigorously tested to provide a bareback pad that allowed the rider to feel all movements of the horse whilst offering total protection for the horses back and comfort for the rider. These pads were pressure tested to ensure that there were no pressure points for horse or rider. All models have 20mm composite foam shims that sit either side of the spine and foam cantles.
Tried and tested for twenty years on the market, their popularity and fabulous reviews speak for themselves and back up their great design. They are frequently recommended by equine physiotherapists and vets for horses coming back into work after back injury and often recommended by saddle fitters as a permanent saddle solution for horses that have saddle fitting issues.
As a German concept they were originally designed for dressage riders for schooling as they allow horses a fuller scope of movement and help build muscle tone.
Werner Christ Lammfelle offer 5 Different styles bareback pad, each offering different advantages depending on the riders needs and the required purpose of the pad.
The Basic PLUS pad that you purchased is used extensively by the RDA and many Hippotherapy groups as it offers supreme comfort to their disabled riders, which is of the utmost importance to them. The D ring cannot actually be felt by the rider once seated on the pad. If this had ever been an issue, the design would most certainly have been altered many years ago.
All these pads are hand made in Germany using top grade materials and medical tanned sheepskin - NO chemicals are used in their tanning process and their tannery is 100% carbon neutral.
Looked after correctly (wash with a sheepskin detergent to keep the hide supple) these pads last many, many years.
Once again i am very sorry that you didn't find the Basic PLUS pad suitable for your needs and as discussed in in our emails, a refund will be given on return of the pad as it has not actually been used.
