Overraskende fine og moderne rom for et budsjetthotell på Balkan. God AC, ok WiFi, tv. Litt mye støy fra korridor pga glipper under dørene. Frokost okay, men ikke mere. Fantastisk plassering ved den gamle basaren.

I stayed at this hotel in May 2026 with a couple of friends, and overall we had a really lovely experience. The location is fantastic (genuinely one of the best parts of the stay, near old bazar) and it was a big relief that the staff spoke English, which made everything so much easier.
The only area that really needs attention is the breakfast setup. The breakfast room is quite small, and during busy times it felt like there simply weren’t enough tables for everyone. The food itself was very basic. I would have loved to see a bit more variety - maybe some pastries, butter, and especially the option of an omelets instead of only boiled eggs. A few small improvements could make breakfast feel much more enjoyable.
Despite that, I enjoyed my stay so much that I’m hoping to return in May 2027, this time with my family. That’s where I ran into another challenge: the family rooms only accommodate three people. We’re a family of four - two adults and two children aged 11+, so it would be wonderful if the hotel could offer a family room with space for four, perhaps with one double bed and two twin beds, or even two double beds.
At the moment, it’s not possible to book a room for four on Booking.com, and I also couldn’t make a direct booking through the hotel’s website. It would be great to see more family‑sized rooms added, along with a proper direct booking feature online.
Even with these limitations, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would love to come back with my family. I hope the hotel considers these improvements, because it really is a lovely place with so much potential.
