Ordered an LG LMAN097HVP 9k BTU mini-split July 17. Original quote: $853 total with free shipping.
They went completely dark for 11 days. No emails, no updates, nothing. I finally called on July 28 just to get answers. They casually told me they canceled my order without telling me and hit me with a brand new quote that added $249.99 in shipping, pushing the total over $1,098.
When I asked to speak to a manager about this bullshit, the associate hung up in my face.
This is straight-up terrible, unprofessional garbage. Bait-and-switch pricing after they already accepted the order, zero communication, and then straight-up rudeness when you try to escalate. Classic scam-adjacent behavior from a company that clearly doesn’t give a damn about customers.
If you’re in the trades or just a normal buyer, save yourself the headache and order from a real supplier. Howdy Brewer is a joke. 1 star doesn’t even cover how bad this was.

I placed an order on the 12th that was supposed to be delivered within 2-4 days. When I checked my email to track the shipment, I was required to download an app, which immediately felt suspicious. Even after following those steps, the order status remained stuck at "processing."

When I reached out to customer support, I was told there had been an error and my order was never actually shipped. They offered to ship it then, but I decided to cancel the order entirely. I am now waiting to see if I will receive my refund within the promised 3-5 days. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.

Sent product, but it arrived a few weeks late.

Horrible merchant. Doesn’t ship orders and doesn’t respond to emails. Had to dispute the charge on my card to get my money back. Do not order from these guys.

UPDATE: I just received a package with what I ordered from the company. Apparently they WILL ship what you order, but won’t give you any notice that it’s shipped or respond to emails.

I see Howdy Brewer got most of their negative reviews in 2024, maybe they hit a rough patch that year. All I can say is in Feb 2026 I ordered 3 wine kits from Howdy Brewers. I was immediately given tracking info through the Shopify app Howdy uses. Everything flowed like clockwork and the kits were delivered on time and at the agreed upon price. I would definitely use Howdy Brewer again.

I ordered a hand truck from this site. I was told when I ordered it it would be there within 4 days. In fact, I purchased it from them specifically because they said that you could get there on that certain date because we were moving and we needed the dolly and I was willing to even pay $400 more from them just because they were guaranteeing me that arrival date and then 2 days after it didn't come. I called them asking them what the delay was and they said there was a delayed Transit. And that it'd be there in a couple days call them back 2 days asking for tracking information so I could see where it was and then I was told that it was going to be there the following week and I was given the day on the following Monday. I called back to get the checking information that they hadn't given me and that's when I was told even though when I purchased it, it said it was in stock and it would be there within 3 to 4 days that it actually was as special order item and isn't in stock. That my order hadn't even been assembled yet and much less shipped even though I had been told that it was in transit. So I went to the website while I happened to be on hold, and looked at the very item that I had purchased and it said that it was currently in stock and that it could be there on the following Monday which they were sayin they couldn't have my order there but if I ordered according to their website it was in stock and could arrive. so I told them they were just outright lying and being deceptive to their customers and I wanted a full refund. Several days later I still had not received the refund so I did file a complaint with the better Business. So beware. These people are not honest. They're lying to you. They're just lying.

Ordered a glycol chiller from Howdy which needed to be custom made by the manufacturer. Not only were they incredibly great to get the order together with - when the manufacturer goofed up, Howdy really went to bat and got it squared away.

Excellent organization - looking forward to working with them again.

Update to my below review:
A week after i put in my second order and paid them they finally responded to my request via chat. Turns out my second order was ALSO out of stock. But they didn't just cancel my order this time. No they left it going, ordered the parts, and basically stalled for time. Finally got someone to tell me this and that they wouldn't even have the items until the following week and than they would ship to me. So i cancelled my order.

Website inventory is not accurate. If they dont have your item they will charge you for it, than you will get a random email saying your order was cancelled with nothing else telling you why. Than you have to contact customer support to find out they made a mistake.

So i tried to order something else, but the coupon they reel you in with on your first order doesnt work any more, so wait a couple more days for customer service to get back to me.

Now my second order attempt. The website says same day shipping but here i am 5 days later with nothing but lies/excuses about "oh the truck was late we will get it packed up". Like was it late 3 days in a row or something?

Really nice looking website, but customer service is non existent and or employees dont know or are not doing their jobs. Stay away. Go get the same supplies somewhere else like morebeer.com

Ordered a $1300 item. Received it quickly, but with significantly missing parts -- unusable. Attempted to contact via customer service email several times as well as through multiple phone call attempts. No one ever contacted me back. I have turned to Paypal for a refund.

Not a supplier for the home enthusiasts. Orders are not filled. Lacks responses to the consumer’s inquiries.

Absolutely horrible seller. I bought several kits off the web site without reading reviews. Huge mistake.

Seller has zero communication. He never sent tracking information, two items showed up, never received the rest. I sent follow up emails, he didn't reply, I called a few times and left a message with my phone number, he never called back.

The order was almost 2 months ago. I ended up filing a dispute with Paypal and had to have it escalated. The day before Paypal ruled in my favor, seller finally replied, so gave a rebuttal, which the seller ignored. In the end, I was given a refund.

PoolZoom aka Howdy Brewer is a horrible, terrible seller. I've had nothing but problems. He refuses to communicate in any form.

This is my first and last time buying from this absolutely disgrace of a seller.

Cancelled my order after a week or so and doubled the price of the items I was trying to buy. Other sites have the same item for the price I was trying to buy it for so it wasn’t a low price issue

Although we did eventually get our order. It was slow. Got a tracking number but it never went in the mail so 2 weeks later we called for 2 weeks every day to get it going. They gave us a coupon so we got another small thing and had to go through the calling everyday process to get that in the mail too when it didn’t go out. They were cheaper than everyone else but they are very slow and I don’t know how much longer getting my stuff would have taken if I hadn’t continually called. They get 2 stars for good pricing(with discounts) but getting your stuff takes awhile and takes some work on your part. So I’d say if you want something big, you may get frustrated but if you keep calling the deal may be worth the effort. dealspotr has the best coupons for them

Ordered the product and it came in a week later than expected, but the product is spot on and exactly as ordered. Wow! What a great price!

Zero customer service I only received part of my order and cannot reach anyone. Multiple emails go unanswered. Their website says they have chat and call scheduling, but there is no way to actually chat or schedule a call that I can find. Buyer Beware!

Run away fast from Howdy Brewer. They are a fraudulent and dishonest company who will take your money and not ship your items. Also absolutely zero communication and customer service from their side. They blow!
