Very disappointed
I bought a light from the EU, but nowhere during checkout did it say that the package could get stuck in customs and that I would need a customs broker to clear it myself. I was never informed that I would have to pay additional customs clearance fees which ended up costing almost as much as the lamp itself.
As a result, I paid €170 and still did not receive my light. Very disappointed with the lack of transparency about these extra charges.

We're sorry to hear that you’ve been disappointed with your experience.
As mentioned in our email correspondence, we do make our international shipping process and potential import charges clear in several places on our website before an order is placed. This information can be found:
1. At the top left of every page
2. At the bottom of every page
3. Below the price on each product page
4. At the bottom of the cart page before checkout
5. At the bottom of the checkout page
For international shipments outside the UK, local import taxes and clearance fees are determined by the destination country and collected by the courier. In this case, FedEx provides a payment link via email so the import charges can be settled directly — a separate customs broker is not required.
We completely understand that unexpected import charges can be frustrating, but these are set by local authorities rather than by us as the retailer. We always try to highlight this clearly on our website so customers are aware before placing an order.
If there’s anything further we can do to help resolve the situation, please feel free to contact us directly.
