I have had a battery failure. So I needed to get this resolved. After messaging direct to the website I had a quick response. I sent a video in of the defect and have had lots of e-mail since. A new battery is on its way. So far good customer service.

Looking for batteries for a ten year old MacBook Pro is problematic at best - a battery can work for six months but if you paid by PayPal, good luck trying to have your one year warranty (or three or five as some sellers advertise) honoured. Consequently, risk is an unavoidable factor.

This company presents itself as being based in an industrial estate in Portsmouth (no unit number - so impossible to find using Google Maps) but apart from that facade, everything else seems to be based in China.

The website promises 'fast shipping' and 'fast delivery' on all orders yet a week after placing my order, I have neither battery nor shipping/tracking information. I tried to query this using their online form but received no reply - just a plain text automatically generated acknowledgement on the day of my order.

I doubt that iBatterys gets much repeat business - I certainly intend avoid them in the future whether my battery turns up or not but it can be difficult to know who you are dealing with these days.

[edit] I just received an e-mail from iBatterys saying that they just shipped the battery (a week after I ordered it - not FAST SHIPPING) and that it will arrive in about 15 days (not FAST DELIVERY).

[edit 2] Having told me that the battery had shipped, I had an e-mail exchange with iBatterys which was basically them asking me if I was really, really sure that I wanted to cancel the purchase no less than six times then telling me that they would cancel the transaction if I closed my PayPal case. I told them that I would close the case only when I received a refund. A day later, two weeks after the purchase and a week after the battery was supposedly shipped, I got a refund. The tracking number I was given says that the company are still waiting for the shipment; i.e. it has not (and never had) been shipped.

The company is just built on lies - one dishonesty on top of another. Best avoided but most people will, like me, probably not discover this until it is too late.

I bought a battery last year but only just got around to writing a review.

The picture on website for this battery is genuine but the battery i received is anything but. My sheer stupidity for buying a battery way cheaper than market value. I should have known better - hey you live and learn

In their carefully worded description,they have the word genuine
"This genuine battery has been tested by our professional team for safety and performance.It is 100% Compatible for your machine,We provide 3 year warranty for this battery."

Submitted fraud report via UK action fraud - useless - response from bureau - "On this occasion, based on the information currently available, it has not been possible to identify a line of enquiry which a law enforcement organisation in the United Kingdom could pursue." -
Tried to request a chargeback but that didn't work either as they asked to send it back to China

I was looking for an accessory for my camera, and ibatterys is still there.

AVOID, DO NOT USE. SCAM ALERT! Ordered supposedly 2 off genuine makita BL1850 batteries. Paid for in confidence and nearly 4 weeks later still not arrived. Reported to my bank, the receipt you get is from Paypal, I have now received a refund through my bank for non-receipt, my bank said they are getting a lot of this. I then cancelled my order, via their email address, the company doesn't even exist at the address given on their website in Portsmouth, I will be reporting to trading standards. Then started to get emails from Lisa (China). (supposedly UK warehouse is shut due to covid) offered us a 10% refund if we didn't cancel. 2 weeks later still no batteries Then we get bombarded with emails begging us to send the battery back if it did turn up. Then started to get emails stating that i was nasty and could I please send the battery back as this person would lose their job if we didn't, and it was low pay etc, So I then sent an email stating that I would post it back if they sent the postage money, i haven't received any answer to this. STILL NO BATTERIES ARRIVED!!!

AVOID, DO NOT USE. Ordered a supposedly genuine makita battery. Paid for rapid postage, and 6 weeks later still not arrived. Reported to PayPal, then start getting emails from Hong Kong. (supposedly UK warehouse is shut due to covid) offered us a 15% refund if we didn't cancel. 2 weeks later still no battery. So PayPal refunded us the money. Then we get bombarded with emails begging us to send the battery back if it did turn up. Then start to get emails stating that we seem like "nice people" and could we please send the battery back as this person would lose their job if we didn't, and it was low pay etc, and their dad was in hospital and life was treating them bad already!! So we said we would post it back if they sent the postage money, after all they'd messed me around why would I spend my money to post it back?? We received no answer to this 😂
Anyway, the important thing is, the battery turned up a few days later. BUT, there was no way it Was a genuine makita battery. This stickers weren't the same colour as genuine ones, there were no serial numbers on it, and the label was different to genuine ones. So you might save about £15 on a genuine battery price,but it is fake, and you pay £7 postage for something that takes about 8 week to come. FAKE AVOID

Do not buy from this company!!!! 3 weeks & waiting for Makita batteries sounds like they will be fakes if they ever turn up! just opened a claim with PayPal but sounds like its going to be a long road. AVOID!!!!!!

This company was the only one I found who could supply the battery for my ancient Sony camcorder. The first battery they sent would not charge and when I reported this to Lisa she sorted the problem out immediately and organised a replacement without delay having first apologised. This kind of service speaks well for the company as well as for Lisa.

i thought they were in uk but aparently not, so took some time for my 2 batts to arrive, one was fine the other had a crack in and didnt seem to work as well, so decided to go for a return, now this took several emails over a few days, before i got lisa, who was very helpfull and got me another sent out which when it finally got here was fine, and they didnt want the other one back, so no return postage hassel there, in the end was ok, if you want your batts the next day, maybe not, but if your not in a hurry then why not, they are very low price.

Real pain to deal with. Don't buy from them. I managed to get a Paypal refund.

Don't fall for the UK website. I don't know how I ended up buying this battery, despite: not a secure site (no 'https); No proposed delivery date; chinese paypal account. But there you go.

Completely fake company! Ordered Ryobi battery. No order confirmation from company. Asked for a refund and they flat refused stating item had already been sent. I then asked for tracking number which was provided but stated item had not been sent to courier. Tracking status was same for 3 week! Contacted PayPal to inform them and immediately provided refund! MY RECOMMENDATION - DO NOT USE!!!

Order charger got tracking number but was false will never buy from them again. It was a scam,

As all ither reviews stay well clear still waiting after a month started claim with pay pal dont hold out much hope of getting my money back stay well clear chinese company saying they are based in england conn merchants

I needed a new battery for my neato botvac and I thought this was a uk based company I was buying from.I was a bit worried as it took a long time for the batteries to arrive and to be honest I was starting to think about trying to get a chargeback on my credit card. .However, they arrived eventually and were exactly what I ordered and gave my neato cleaner a new lease of life, the run time is now very good so everything was fine in the end. Next time I would use amazon though even though they would cost more.

Company pretending to be based in uk actually shipping fake goods from china. ordered makita 5 ah battery got a fake battery that doesnt work.

Excellent prompt service from Lisa, I cancelled the order quickly as I made an error, but was refunded without any hassle.

I don't like giving bad reviews, however, like other reviewers here, I though this company was based in Portsmouth, UK. it then became apparent that it is in China. I've just received my order for a video camera battery. The website clearly stated that it was a genuine Panasonic battery but the one delivered is non genuine. It is fully charged and I will see how it goes but the item is not as advertised. I won't be buying from them in the future.

Avoid purchasing from this company, they are based in China, falsely stating that they are in the UK in Portsmouth. They take your money illegitimately, display false advertising of their products that are substandard. They do not confirm your order or what you have purchased and don’t refund your money.
The use PayPal to process your transaction but are not a valid merchant. The dispute resolution via PayPal is lengthy.
Please avoid abs don’t fall for the google advertising.

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. This is a fraudulent company. Be warned, do not use. The batteries they shipped me were way late and used. They shipped to me from California. Then they want me to return to China. They ship from China to a location in the States to make it look like they are in the states. They work hard to deceive.
