CREDIT LINE DRAW REJECTED WHEN NEEDED
We applied for a credit line to finance a remodeling project for our restaurant. We needed to finance not only the construction but the operational costs as we would be closed for a few months. The day we tried to draw down the credit line it was refused due to "loss of revenue". Well that's what happens when you close your business for a remodeling project! Now we have to scramble to find another credit line to continue the project. Its almost as if they expect you to borrow when you don't need it yet refuse to lend when you do need it. Not cool at all and defeats the whole purpose of a credit line. DO NOT EVER WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!

While we always strive to provide excellent customer service, we also must adhere to credit criteria. When you applied for, and were approved for, the line of credit, you had an operating restaurant with consistent revenue. We underwrote the loan based upon the revenue at that time. When you returned recently for a draw, the restaurant was closed and, as a result, the revenue had dropped significantly. It was expected that teh revenue would go to $0 in the near term. We are unable to provide funds for businesses that have no revenue and are closed. While we understand your frustration, it was important that the information provided is accurate. We wish you the best as your restaurant undergoes construction.

The whole IDEA for a line of credit is to protect for overdraft. Not penalized them.

Idea Financial never seeks to penalize our clients. When we underwrote the draw request, your bank account was overdrawn, had a negative balance and the business was otherwise unable to service the debt. Our credit rules do not permit Idea Financial to finance a business that has recently bounced payments to vendors or lenders and maintains negative bank balances.
