From the moment we started, it was obvious that this tour was extremely professionally run. The organisation, communication, support crew and logistics were all first class. Everything seemed to have been thought through which is particularly impressive when you’re riding through some of the most remote terrain imaginable.
Thankyou Sanjeev and your team for making our experience of the Himalaya’s as enjoyable as it was.
I would say you would be best to have some riding experience. It’s not for a complete novice.

I have participated in the Indian Himalayas Escapade tour about two months ago and now finally have the time to write a proper review that will hopefully do it justice. as this was the most awesome thing I have done in a long time!
The whole tour, starting with first communications was very well organized and structured. Sanjeev answered within a couple of hours to my first mail and was very patient considering all the stupid questions I had, especially since it was my first solo travel abroad to a different continent. Communication was very easy, we later switched to Whatsapp and that was even simpler. I want to highlight here that I had a problem with payment and asked Sanjeev if it was possible to transfer the tour costs via Paypal and within an hour we had that sorted out instead of the lenghy procedure through international bank transfer.
Arriving in Delhi, the airport pickup was super smooth and Sushil the driver was waiting for me eventhough I was held up at immigrations for over two hours.
The hotels and accomodations were always top notch considering the surroundings and conditions with which one has to put up in such remote regions as the himalayas.
On our riding days we did plenty of pauses to take pictures, rehydrate and to do a little stretching which was definitely needed some days :).
Traffic and roadrules are, lets just say more of a suggestion so you need to be comfortable manuvering a bike in tight spaces and in overtaking big trucks. The condition of the roads were, at least for me, really surprising as most of the times you have the most wonderful freshly paved roads. Other times there was nothing more than coars gravel but the good parts were definetely more common. Riding some gravel roads is a good preparation for this trip to be comfortable on the "offroad" parts.
All that said Sanjeev is a fast but careful rider, pointing out dangers on the roads for the others. You dont need to keep up with him all the time as when you come to a crossroad and need to go left or right Sanjeev will wait so that everyone knows where to go.
Sanjeev and his team are seriously awesome people that will do everything in their power to make sure you have a great time! My birthday was on our second day of riding and I didnt mention it to anybody to not be the annoying birthday boy and in the evening Sanjeev managed to organize a cake and beer for the group as a surprise! I really did not expect anything or that anyone even knew! Super kind and lovely of Sanjeev and his team!
After the official end of our tour I had a few days layover due to my flighttimes and Sanjeev suggested a daytrip Agra to see the Taj Mahal and provided a fully planned intinerary. Agra was awesome to see and the organized guide for the day was a lovely bloke as well!
Overall I can say nothing but good things about Sanjeev and his team at Indiamotorbiketour! I really suggest that if you are curios about a well organized tour in the himalayas to just contact Sanjeev with all your questions. The country, landscaped, people and food are definitely worth a visit that you wont regret!
I will book another tour with Sanjeev in the future and I can not wait to do so!

Fantastic experience! 5 out of 5 stars. Sanjeev made the rain go away and provided us with day after day of amazing vistas, educational stops at varying sites and kept us fed and safe. Really enjoyed the time on the bike with a very skilled guide on both road and dirt. Sanjeev is great at rolling with obstacles a trip like this can throw at you and he is focused on your experience! If you need a wing man on a trip like this Sanjeev’s and his team are right for the job!

Sanjeev is a great guide and very organised the tour was a blast at good pace with plenty of amazing vistas. The whole crew were very helpful and friendly and we all loved it. Make sure you get some off road practice before the trip.

An unforgettable motorcycle adventure through India

What an incredible experience! I’ve just finished an India motorcycle tour, and it was genuinely out of this world. The scenery and views were like nothing I have ever experienced before. Every day brought something spectacular, from the incredible mountain landscapes to the challenging roads and remote places we travelled through.

A special mention has to go to Sanjeev, our tour guide, who was fantastic throughout the entire trip. His knowledge, experience and calm approach gave us confidence every day, and he made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

The back-rider crew and support team were also exceptional. They were always there when we needed them, keeping an eye on the group and making sure everyone was safe and supported. The backup vehicle carrying all our gear was another huge plus — it meant we could concentrate on riding and enjoying the experience without having to worry about our luggage.

The hotels were of a very good standard considering some of the remote locations we travelled through, and the food was consistently good. After a long day on the bike, it was great to have a comfortable place to relax and a good meal waiting for us.

As someone who isn’t an experienced motorcycle rider, I was initially a little apprehensive about the trip. But the support from Sanjeev and the whole crew gave me the confidence to enjoy every part of it. It was challenging at times, but that was exactly what made it such an adventure.

I came away with some incredible memories, amazing photographs and a real sense that I had experienced something very special.

A massive thank you to Sanjeev, the back-riders and the entire support crew for looking after us so well and making the journey such an amazing experience.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a genuine adventure, incredible scenery and an experience you will never forget.

i thoroughly recommend this experience for intermediate and experienced riders alike. Sanjeev was an excellent host and guide adjusting the tour to the capabilities of the riders. the scenery is spectacular. once in a lifetime type trip.

I have just been on a Moto-bike trip with Sanjeev from India Motorbike Tour in Ladakh. It was a well organized tour, some of the worlds most beautifull landscapes, nice hotels, and big help from the staff all the time. Sanjeev is very helpful, and knowledgeable.
I went on a trip by myself before the organized tour, and Sanjeev helped me find the right bike, with the right number-plates, as I couldn´t go south with number-plates from Ladakh. A big help, and lot of driving for Sanjeev. He also help me planning my tour, finding hotels etc. I can only recommend going with him - he will take good care of you. ;o)

Overall an excellent value for money motorcycle tour that hits all of the key sights in the region and provides all of the required support along the way. If you value luxury accommodation or creature comforts this is not the tour for you but if you want a more genuine experience run by locals who are willing to share their knowledge of the area and culture you will be more than satisfied with this offering.

P.S I wanted to give a 4.5 star rating but 4 stars is more accurate than a perfect 5 star rating.

I booked the Indian Himalayas Escapade for a group of 13 people. Sanjeev and his crew were fantastic and took care of our needs. It was a trip of a lifetime and the ever changing scenery never disappointed. Motorcycles were well maintained every morning before we rode. If you get a chance at a trip with IMT don't hesitate!

India Motorbike Tours gave us an unforgettable motorcycle adventure through the Himalayas and Ladakh. The scenery and riding were incredible, but what really stood out was the experience and professionalism of the guides and support team.

We encountered everything from rough mountain roads and water crossings to changing weather and landslides, and the team handled it all extremely well. There was also a great sense of camaraderie that made the trip even more memorable.

This was a well organized and executed Himalayan expedition. Sanjeev and crew are the best in the business and I would recommend them to any and all who are looking for a true Himalayan experience!

I did the 13 day Indian Himalayas Escapade last month. Everything about the planning and organisation of the routes, the bikes, accommodation and meals was handled well. This route includes some remote locations where accommodation options are few and basic but when we were in larger centres the accommodation was pretty nice.

Things like government permits, clearing checkpoints and planning fuel and food stops were all handled for us - we just had to ride. Weather and a closed road interfered with the planned route on one day but the route we took was a really good alternative.

I definitely felt the tour was good value but more importantly I always felt that the company reps knew what they were doing and could handle any problems.

Talking with Sanjeev I learnt he has experience in multiple different roles in the tourism industry. It shows in the amount of detail on their website and itineraries and the way things are organised.

The two friends who accompanied me on the trip were also happy with the experience.

This is our second adventure with India Motorbike Tour. We love the fact that the group is small, there is so much back-up support, accommodation and food along the way is authentic and local.

Just returned home from what can only be described as a once in a lifetime adventure. Although our initial itinerary was completely thrown out of the window by Mother Nature, we had an amazing adventure with Sanjeev and his amazing team. The team had our comfort and safety at the forefront of everything they did and we never felt anything other than safe and cared for. We were supposed to visit the highest passes and valleys of the Ladakh region, however with so many roads closed or completely washed away, rockslides and passes inaccessible we had no other option but to follow the guidance of our amazing team who’s local knowledge and care guided us back to Delhi and safety whilst enjoying some of the best riding experiences we have ever had. We endured some of the most unique and challenging conditions any of Sanjeev’s tours have ever experienced and although we didn’t do the tour we expected we weren’t disappointed. It just means we might have to return for a second tour! We can’t recommend India motorbike tours highly enough they were exceptional on every level, from the well maintained motorcycles we rode, the accommodation we stayed in, the food we ate and their local knowledge that kept us safe ( this is exactly why we chose a local tour group for our trip).

I have just completed the Buddhist trail 17 day motorbike trip organized by Sanjeev.
I arrived a few days early to acclimatise and the weather was beautiful but as soon as the tour was supposed to start the rains came (we were there august24 -sept 9th 2025).
The rain was the worst the area has seen in over 76 years !! All the roads in and out of Leh were closed and the airport was shut! There were power cuts and the phones weren't working ! So we're left in limbo not knowing what we would do next.
But luckily we had Sanjeev and it was decided we would change the route to go to Hanle (on to Umling La) and go round in the opposite direction to what was originally planned.
We set off the following day for a trip of a lifetime!
The riding is the best I've ever experienced!
The scenery is just breathtaking!
I seemed to think every day couldn't get better but it does !
We had some really bad road conditions with road closures due to landslides and shooting rocks and whole roads collapsing but that just added to the adventure.
The bikes were well maintained and we had no real issues apart from a flat tyre on the last day which was fixed really quickly!
We had three lead riders in total as we were crossing different districts and all three (Rigi, Dawa and Sanjeev) were excellent.
They soon realised we could ride bikes so there was no holding back.
The hotels were all very good.
Some were basic the higher up you got and most had spectacular views .
The food was always plentiful and tasty and we always had enough water.
We had lots of issues with roads being closed but the guys always had a solution so never felt worried.
It must have been really difficult for Sanjeev as he didn't want us to be stuck somewhere which could really happen as routes back to Delhi were often shut but he handled it without an issue.
Even when I got back to Delhi I had a few days spare so he organised a trip for me with driver, guides and hotels to Agra which really finished the trip off nicely.
I really cannot recommend Sanjeev highly enough and already planning to come back soon
