Worst of the worst
In all seriousness, a 60 Minutes investigative reporting needs to be done on their business practices. They concealed and omitted important information when I signed up about their service and contract terms. Poor quality work on their end. And a complete disregard for anything the client had to say or evidence provided. Here is what took place...
Their sales rep represented the agreement in a totally different way than what was ultimately signed. I sought out an appointment setting service. The sales rep of this company and I spoke at length and I have multiple emails (EVIDENCE!) where we discussed just a 3 month agreement for an appointment setting service, the sale rep also threw in an extra 3 months in addition. He provided a very lengthy email with a bunch of "FAQs" about their service and workmanship - everything appeared promising, so I signed up for 3 months. again no mention of renewing terms ...But WAIT... upon signing up, I was presented a service agreement to sign, and the document signing software the company used kept failing over and over. I had a difficult time viewing it, and every time I would scroll down and log the required initials, they would ultimately get wiped out, I did this about 20 times. Had to do it across a couple of browsers to finally sign it. I have emails of me reaching out to the sales rep explaining how difficult of a time I was having (EVIDENCE!). Needless to say, this was not a process I've ever encountered with a Docusign. The company asked for their 3 month payment via Wire (SUSPECT!), and they also asked for a CC# to be kept on file in order to pay the appointment setter's nominal $5 bonus per appointment, I agreed and wired them the funds.
I provided a list of my leads to call and the company was supposed to find an appointment setter. They provided access to some CRM calling software they used where I'd be able to see call logs and hear the customer's recording but never the appointment setter's recording (SUSPECT!). After 2 weeks and getting zero results of any kind, no appointments, no requests for information, zilch... I had reached out to the Account Manager and asked what might be the issue. She continued to emphasize that the industry I asked them to call might have been difficult and they generally get better results calling SIC industries such as Contractors using their own lists. ...So another two weeks went by and no results, the Account Manager recommended her list AGAIN and I agreed! whatever would ultimately get results over the few months, I was okay with. Even if it meant not using my own list anymore.
Another month went by, and very sporadic results. Maybe a total of 3 appointments scheduled over the first two months. I questioned who the appointment setter was and whether someone else should be considered. They stressed how important it was to let the campaign run and they needed to reach out to leads over 5 times to get any results. After about 5 months went by, we may had like 8-9 appointments, very terrible numbers considering they were calling THEIR own lists and these were low hanging fruit, small businesses. I forgot this company was still doing anything as for the entire month of Nov there were no appointments or anything, and then randomly there was some kind of email I received early December. I had totally forgotten about this appointment setting service, and with whatever time still remained, I simply asked them to stop calling as it was not generating any meaningful traction.
And then their "billing department" rep (without a name) emails me and attaches paragraphs and paragraphs of the signed contract stating that they are renewing me for another 3 months as I needed to notify them of the cancellation 30 days prior to the service end date. I was shocked! First, I explained that they did not honor their end of the service agreement as there were very few appointments set, and their portion of the service agreement used vague language but did state they were to provide appointment setting. It was such a material understatement, that could be set they were in complete breach of their agreement. Not to mention they were no longer calling my leads, but rather their own arbitrary list. And I explained that I was never informed about any type of reoccuring billing or that this contract would continue beyond 3 months. Their response was basically more or less "oh well, you signed it", just in more harsh language.
They attempted to charge my credit card (keep in mind, NOT my original payment method). I put freeze with my CC company. I asked them for a phone # to speak to a rep, and they said they only speak via email. When attempting to call the listed # on their website, someone from Phillippines answers, and one time an AI assistant picked up. Are even a REAL company?
