Based on their website listing, I believed I was purchasing a genuine Hayward w3t-cell-15 40,000 salt generator. Their website showed the cell with Hayward branding and model number. After paying, I was sent a receipt showing a picture of the genuine Hayward cell and model number along with my payment information. When the item arrived what I received was a generic/knock off cell with zero Hayward markings. I sent iqelectro a email within one hour of receiving the item, describing the problem and requested to return the item and a return shipping label. As of this review, I have not received any response to that email. What I did get were two separate emails from them asking me to review my Hayward w3t-cell-15 that I had received. I have since opened a dispute with Paypal and Chase Visa.

This is not a gray area or a “compatible replacement” situation. The listing clearly represents a specific branded product, and a completely different, generic item was shipped instead.

When I contacted the company, they denied any issue and claimed the product was “correct,” even though it is obviously not the Hayward unit they advertised. They later offered a partial refund, which suggests they are aware of the discrepancy but continue the practice.

This is a clear case of false advertising. The listing relies on official product photos and specifications to induce the purchase, then substitutes a different item after the sale.

Buyers should be extremely cautious. If you expect to receive the actual branded product shown in the listing, there is a real risk you will not.

when inquired about an item availability, price for the item was $1054. The very ext day when it came to place an order price suddenly changed to $2254 and Vlad, the sales manager offered 5% discount refusing to honor the price that was on the website less than 24hrs ago.
Pure rip off attempt. Stay away.
