ITV Should be fined heavily

Always crashing and it blames your internet connection, even has the nerve to ask for you to pay a subscription for no ads which are so repetitive, worst app ever

Don’t subscribe. I did pay the £5.99 pm to go ad free but cancelling it is proving difficult. They say just click the cancel button but there is no cancel button. Instead they want to upgrade me for another fee. I’ve literally cancelled my credit card as it’s easier than unsubscribing. They will tell you that cancellation is beside ,your plan, details but there is no such button. Frustrating

Shocking, no sub titles

Paid for "ad-free Premium". Still get ads. Ok, they're all for ITV-X, not toothpaste or whatever, but they're still ads. I've paid already!
Premium is therefore an utterly pointless rip-off which I intend to cancel. Why pay for literally nothing?

Has to be one of the most frustrating streaming services. Too many ad breaks making almost impossible to get immersed into any program

Awful awful app - ITV get your act together and update/axe/amend this appalling app! Not fit for purpose!

I’m not a fan of the BBC, however ITV X could learn a thing or two about quality of streaming from them…

Appalling. I decide to give ITVx another chance and decided on Belgravia BUT similar to Downton Abbey I would have to put up with ITVx promoting their other shows during the show

Its a shame zero isn't an option. Can't watch a program later as it isn't listed until 24 hours after the live play. Woeful interface and the non stop adverts are really getting on my tits.
Hopefully ITV will go out of business.

If only 0 stars was available! This app is and has been for years, complete garbage. They know it's garbage and seem to do absolutely nothing about it. Nowadays it's how people watch television. Why anyone advertises with ITV I have no idea because no one can ever use the app. The business deserve what they get which should be nothing.

Obviously to ensure multiple ad showings playing an episode now restarts after an ad and/or after a pause. There aren't that many use cases for a streaming app but the anonymous developers appear to ignore all of them. Useless.
Update: Batwoman doesn't seem to be affected unlike Midsomer Murders. I'm not considering watching all itvx content to find the fault...
Update: no similar issues seen with latest version available on LG smart TV. The Amazon firetv stick version 0.2.18 will not change to a later version so will be using the TV app version for now

ANOTHER PROBLEM:
IT FREEZES AT LEAST TWICE WEEK...

How a company so reliant upon a stable & usable platform can be so utterly useless in managing updates is beyond me! It's like a retail outlet covering their shop window & locking their doors.

Every time I think we can view it reasonably normally they screw up the next update. Combine that with the endless adverts & losing series progress & I've reached the inescapable conclusion that even the best of ITV series are not worth the effort!

Absolutely abominable! I would never pay for this service. No history appears to be recordered, you end up confused if you return to a program because it could return ahead or behind of where you were watching. Absolute joke, unbelievable when we have the technology we do. DO NOT USE!!!

I am furious beyond words, that ITVX is expecting viewers to pay a monthly sum just to enable us to watch an entire program on catchup without the continual and lengthy delays that are faced at every commercial break. It is totally unnecessary and unwarranted. It’s an outrageous use of power. I am now recording everything on my satvision system that I want to watch on ITV, but actually there is little. ITV is an appalling channel and does not deserve the viewers it’s got!

We have itvx at home so I thought I’d get a smart tv for the caravan but it’s completely unusable. Tried getting in using the qr code no joy it just takes you to its website with nowhere to fill in the code your given. Sign in with the remote? Not a chance. So in summery don’t bother.

Every time I select watch from start it lets you get right into it then system crashes and hey ho you now can't find it to watch it ABSOLUTE SHIT don't bother will just frustrate you, for all the crap the BBC gets , at least their app works !!!

Why can't I see Pride of Britain Awards 2025 on the ITVx app not everyone may have had the chance to see this absolutely appalling please put on app

After spending the day putting charity donations up on vinted for my own personal gain (I'll do as I please I am the manager at Age UK Crewe Market street and I'm asthmatic and have a vulva infection from Neil) all I wanted to do was relax with watching my Deal Or No Deal only to find app always buffering. Had enough. Will never use again. All right then, thank you, bye
