Corroding bonnet on 4 year old Cherokee
The bonnet is corroding down both sides on my 18k mile 4.5 year old Cherokee KL with a full Jeep main dealer service history. This is clearly a manufacturing defect caused by poor finishing in the seal between the two skins of the aluminum bonnet. The car has a 7 year corrosion warranty and it clearly needs a new bonnet. However, Jeep expect me to send it to their body shop, have it ground back and only then will they decide if they want to honour the warranty. If they don't I am left with a car sitting in there with the paint ground back that they expect me to pay to repair (and its only going to happen again down the line). A new bonnet will cost me the best part of two grand. The dealer tells me they have a 3 and half year old Grand Cherokee in with the same issue that Jeep are currently refusing to pay for. It's been in there for 6 weeks so far. What a joke of a company. There is a TSB on this issue from FCA on this exact issue and if affects every current Jeep. Currently these guys are making a well known Irish airlines customer services look good in comparison.

Bought an 18month old / 4k mile Renegade & 2 days later it won't start. Roadside diagnose software issue & faulty battery but how to / who will pay to replace battery & update software a complete mystery between main dealership who sold it & my nearest dealer/repairer is a mystery. Taken nearly a full day to get it recovered from home as well as the first call out guy didn't have capability to tow/ relay it. What a wasted day on top.

Don’t buy a Jeep Renegade!
Truly awful experience. Engine management light came on 11 times in one year. Every time I took it in for repair, I asked for a report on what the issue was. Each time I was told it was ‘probably just an update’ or ‘we’ve sent the report to head office so you’ll have to wait two weeks to find out’. Never ever got to find out what the error codes were until eventually I wrote to higher-ups to find out. Turns out it was the same code every time. Catalytic converters issue of some sort. Bad fuel mixture. Unfortunately it was too late by this point. The catalytic converter was ruined after only 14,000 miles. I was 1 month out of warranty by the time this was discovered, and the vehicle was kangarooing and not drivable. They then had the cheek to say it was all unrelated, and that the 11 identical fault codes were possibly unrelated to each other too. Seriously?? The repair bill was over £3000 and Jeep offered me a measly 10% discount and wanted extra money for diagnosing the fault that they had ignored all this time. Disgraceful service from border cars dealership and Jeep themselves. I won’t fully get into the other issues I had, but they included missing welding causing flexing noises, faults with the media uni, faulty electric parking brake which wouldn’t disengage and a battery that failed after the first year and I had to pay for myself as they didn’t class it as warranty.
Such a shame, as the car was a dream car for me, and whilst not the most expensive for many people, for me at 27 years old, it felt like a very posh car. Forced to sell massively discounted and learnt my lesson. Will never deal with Jeep again or Border Cars (although border cars went into liquidation shortly after, funnily enough).
It was a 2015 1.4 petrol longitude model. Just in case you want to avoid that particular model. I’ve gone back to Dacia after a pleasant experience previously. Yes, they’re cheap and cheerful, but I’ve had no issues with them ever. Also, if Jeep actually read this, don’t bother replying. I gave you a chance to put things right, and all you gave me was an offer of 10% discount which I had to agree to there and then or you would remove the offer entirely. I don’t know how companies get away with this stuff. Definitely lost a customer for life and I will continue to share my experience with friends, family and social media. People need to know the truth.

Purchased a new Jeep 6 months ago car battery needs replacing...faulty battery, plus a safety recall!! They have had the car for 10 days and battery is still not been replaced!!! Rang them countless times their attitude is awful car is still not ready! They really should NOT be a Motorbility accredited Dealership! Motorbility have been brilliant and have tried to help as much as possible. 'Dave' the service manager wants to show some compassion as does the rude service receptionist Kara! I truly hope you two or members of your families never have to rely on a Motorbility car to get around in...you are both truly the most inconsiderate people I have had to deal with, shame on you both! Complaint has been lodge with Jeep UK when I rang the HO they was as appalled as I am!! Have you two ever heard of CUSTOMER SERVICE?? or ‘GOING THAT EXTRA MILE?!’ One good tip for you both...ONE UNHAPPY CUSTOMER TELLS 100 POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS!!
Heartless....We wasn’t looking for any special treatment we just cannot understand why it takes so long these days to run a diagnostic test and fit a replacement battery!!

Jeep are advertising a 24 hour test drive across their range and put me in touch with this dealer when I enquired about thr Compass model. A very patronising salesman rang me up and told ne that they only offered short accompanied test drives around the location of the dealership and that should be enough to make up my mind as to whether I liked the car or not. When will car dealers learn that people are no longer prepared to put up with such a hard sell! Needless to say, I did not take up his offer.
