WoW i have to say a huge thank you for first class service and delivery.
I ordered a jigsaw in the afternoon and it arrived this morning less than 24 hours from order to delivery.
100% recommend Barneys to anyone.

I see that most of the reviews here, understandably, are for online ordering - but I had the chance to visit the actual shop, in Grasmere, whilst on holiday. What an amazing place! They have over 9200 different jigsaws in the shop alone, and many more in storage. I have never seen so many jigsaws in one place and I spent ages on my holiday browsing and shopping there. The owners work seven days a week, only three days off per year, and are so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and organised: their knowledge of their stock is incredible. I will be buying mostly online in future as I live at the other end of the country (!), but if you live anywhere near the Lakes, and you like jigsaws, you must visit Barney's Newsbox. This is a real gem, and it's a pleasure to buy from a longstanding, independent shop run by people who really care about their stock and their customers. I'd highly recommend.

Fantastic customer service! Placed my order lunchtime yesterday for 7 items. They were despatched within a couple of hours and I just received them. Absolutely brilliant experience, wish other companies were as quick to process orders. Thank you Barney's Newsbox

I placed an order with Barney’s News Box as I stumbled on their website as I was looking for jigsaws. Have to say they have such a wide selection. I placed my order on a Saturday and the two puzzles were safely delivered on a Wednesday. My only negative comment would be as having checked my order status the day before, the order was showing as “processing”. It was somewhat disappointing there was no email update as to my order being despatched etc, otherwise all ok. I will more than likely order again as and when they have any puzzles I like.

Ordered a jigsaw well over 2 weeks ago - paid an additional 25GBP to have it sent with DHL. Should have arrived within 4 business days - nothing.
DHL cannot trace the parcel to as I didn't get a track and trace number.
Enquired twice via their contact form, 3 times via email - complete silence.
With other companies, shipping fees are around 5GBP and the parcel arrives within 3 weeks - so I wasted a lot of money on something that was probably not even sent to begin with.

I was a bit worried about ordering from Barney’s News Box after reading some of the negative reviews on here but my experience was excellent. My puzzles arrived quickly (within a few days) and very well packaged. I will definitely buy from here again.

Cancelled my order with no explanation why. Complete waste of my time.

Ordered 4 jigsaws just before the weekend and they arrived on Tuesday. No problems at all with the ordering and population of the address when using PayPal, immediate confirmation and order updates received. They offer a good range of jigsaws and the prices are keen so I’d be very happy to order from them again.

Ordered 5 jigsaws from them. They came really quickly and were as described. I was very pleased with the whole experience and will definately use them again.

This company have a fantastic selection of puzzles, just received my latest one and I can't wait to start it. This will be my second one by Eurographics they are slightly harder to do because of the way the pieces are cut which makes it more entertaining.

Can't believe people choose to be so mean with their ratings despite knowing about the situation the country is in. Barney's is probably three times the usual busy with less staff and yes they are probably under enormous pressure just like everyone still at work catering for half the country not at work. Cut them some slack? Here is my experience: I ordered 7 jigsaws, I received payment confirmation, I waited about 10 days and I received my jigsaws, well packed and in perfect condition. I now sit at home playing with my jigsaws while these people work their socks off so that you can play with yours. Don't read the spiteful reviews, there is nothing wrong with this company, their stock list has no competition in the UK and I am grateful for their service!

I wrote a review over a month ago about ordering 5 jigsaws and getting them within a few days despite some negative reviews here I stumbled on whilst awaiting arrival.
On Monday 18th May I ordered several more and they all just arrived today (Friday 22nd) in a large cardboard box, stuffed with padding, very secure and safe, with all the jigsaws cellophane-wrapped and in perfect condition. So that's 2 deliveries totaling 10 jigsaws I've ordered during the Covid-19 lockdown from Barney's, and I find them entirely reliable and very excellent.

I placed an order, my money was promptly taken out of my account but when I go on the website there is no record of my account and no orders have yet been placed. I have phoned the company and told that my order number is 42286 and that my order has been processed and will be out for delivery on 5th May. It is now the 12th. No confirmation, even though I have been told that I am a 'subscriber' to their newslist. I do not mind if there is a delay due to Covid but it seems I am being ignored. If I am on the mailing list and have placed and paid for an order then WHY is there no record of me? I am a pensioner and cannot afford to lose this money.

Good delivery, good value puzzle - what more can you want?

Excellent service in difficult times. The site is lovely to browse around, of course, you want all the puzzles! Ordering was easy but one item was out of stock despite ordering the swift repayment was brilliant as I was able to grab another puzzle in time. The service during a difficult time couldn't be better. The product was wrapped so well and we have all the pieces! I definitely can't wait to order from them again and would highly recommend their service!
