From modest beginnings in Enfield as a single store in 1971, Jollyes has now grown into one of the leading pet food superstores with over 100 locations across the UK alongside a market-leading position in Northern Ireland. From Perth to Plymouth, Newry to Norwich, at Jollyes customers can find anything for their pet, from pet food, pet toys and an array of pet accessories. Customers are actively encouraged to bring their pets into store, while customers shop because Jollyes people are passionate about pets. Potty about puppies and crazy for cats, no matter what the animal, store colleagues are always on hand to help with anything from product advice, to picking the perfect pet and accessories. Many stores also run community clinics offering vaccinations and other advice from trained vets. And if one of Jollyes stores isn’t close by, there’s helpful advice on Jollyes website where you can ask the expert. Jollyes was named 2023 Pet Retail Chain of the Year at the Pet Industry Federation Awards and was named best retailer under £250m turnover in the 2024 Retail Week awards. Earlier this month it was also named for the first time as one of the best big companies to work for in the Sunday Times annual survey. Gosport Groomers specifically.
Gosport Groomers specifically.. i have 2 Pomeranians, so their coat needs special care, especially their tails. I took mine in there for a very basic minimal trim, I gave specific instructions to not touch the mane or the tails and not to use clippers, I even asked her if she understood. She cut the tail short and clipped their entire bodies, to a short grade, the tails will not now grow back, it took 7 years for it to come back after a previous groomer error. I questioned this with her there and then and she just said, sorry thought it looked good ( it did not), she did not apologise, customer service were just as bad, 95 quid that cost me, and my dogs looked ridiculous.

Up the workers
The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and the range available is good. However, considering its size and place in the market Jollyes prices are higher than many supermarkets for a number of popular products. For example, a standard box of Bonio was £2.50 in the Gosport branch this week while Waitrose was selling the same item for a discounted £2 while Asda charged £2.20.
