OK, I wanna start by saying the unit overall works well however this is not truly a plug-in play set up like Joying auto says.
How was my first interaction with Customer Service before I bought the unit you ask? well let’s just say they actually got an attitude with me and said that I wasn’t understanding what they were saying when their English is poor and said that the installation is very straightforward yet they could not provide me installation steps for step-by-step instructions.
Fast forward to me receiving the unit but before I received the unit I found out with an unexpected email that I had to pay some dues from DHL shipping, which I was not aware of which other companies tend to pay and don’t front to the customer but Joying sent me a nasty email saying that I can either pay that or pay more fees to ship it back leaving me to put the bill on additional fees I wasn’t expecting. Not to mention even after I paid DHL doesn't update their site and Joying kept pestering me to pay. (oh joy)
So I received the item and while installation instructions were basically garbage I was able to find third-party videos online on YouTube to assist me with the installation process I have the stereo installed however, the CarPlay was crashing intermediately and Customer Service was super slow to respond and still never really resolve my issue however I didn’t update on my phone operating system and it’s only crashed once in the past week so I think it may be resolved, but again not to joyings support.
Now that I have everything set up, the only thing that is not working as the TPMS sensor for my wheels one of the sensors is not reading the psi. Here I am a few days later STILL waiting on a response from joying. Luckily this works now and don't mind some work to get things going. Otherwise, If you want a TRULY plug and play don't get Joying. (speaking of, I literally had to rip open the back seat passenger side panel area to bypass my radio module for my radio to work at all. - they failed to disclose this during selling process. So much lacks in their customer service AND communication)
I have purchased 2 screens from this company, 2nd one was an expensive one 500 euro, im trying the past 2 years to solve an issue of android auto has, they did not find me a solution on those 2 years and after a while they told me the screen is out of warrantee, it was on my last try but what about the past 2 years? They don't actually care about the customer, their product is not that stable, i needed to purchased again a cable because was broken by the heat. in general i wont recement it 4 years of experience and 2 expensive screens.
Had a problem with a Joying head unit which was 18months old with 2 year warranty. I have been dealing with Joying.eu customer service and they are terrible. I am told my unit is now obsolete, already!! and I should buy a new android 13 unit. They will give me a miserable 20% discount, on the new unit. My unit was €311 plus all the accessories. Absolute joke buyer beware and avoid this company.

In January os 2023 i bought a 10.1" head unit running Android 10. Everything works fine as it should, but it came with a aftermarket hazard light switch that turns on by itself, i had i replaced 3 times but all of them have the same issue, and due tu the screen size i can't use the original switch, it doesn't fit.
So as i need a hazard lights quite often i bought a 9" head unit running Android 12, and my nightmare started. I cant get it have a reliable connection to none of my phones, and ive tried 2 iPhone and 2 Android. It connects 1 out of 10 times.
Customer support dont really know their product, they only ask you to update over and over again, they dont admit it's a faulty/defective product. They'll say it was working when they tested it before sending it to you. Theres basically no support at all. Lucky it was still time form me to return it, otherwise i would have put £400 in a bin.
I have recently ordered their top of the line rotating screen head unit from them (€600+). At checkout you are given an option to choose delivery from china or from eu warehouse for a surcharge of €40. I assumed you pay the surcharge for europe to recieve the item faster, then if it came all the way form China. I wasn't in a particular rush to get the item so I chose China, expecting to save some money in the process. First I have to say the item arrived quite fast only having ordered it 10 days ago, but when it arrived I got a nasty surprise, I had to pay over €120 in customs duties. So not only, did it not turn out to be cheaper then getting from eu warehouse, it ended up being way more expensive.
When I complained about this to customer care they say there is a disclaimer that duties arent covered, (something which is paid at point of purchase when buying from large chinese site like aliexpress ), but this was hidden somewhere way at the bottom of the page and very easy to miss.
To me this is a classic bait and switch technique where they make you choose between two seemingly irrelvant options (like why would I care where the item is shipped from?) so you obvioulsy select the cheaper option then ending up bitten in the ass having to pay a duty fee 3 times the surcharge I would have paid had I chosen the EU warehouse option.
Joying If You really cared about your customers you should have realy highlighted the possibilty of getting charged more money down the line at the point of choice not way down at the bottom of the page. If you really care about building a brand you should care about the whole customer experience and not assume that all your customers would know that they need to pay customs if there item originated from China, Especially in a world where Aliexpress has explict agreements with the EU so that any duties are charged at point of purchase and not as a surpise when you recieve the item. Joying you know this cause you also sell you items on Ali express.
Knowing all of this you still sell items in such a scammy manner, and have the balls to deny it when I complain. Joying is really not serious company worth dealing with, maybe none of these chinese websites are.
If I could give a piece of advices I would say to buy only from trusted big sites like AliExpress, Amazon or eBay, as there you know what you are dealing with and have some sense of customer protection. With these guys you get User eXperience designed to make you spend more then you need to. There is no excuse to this as there are only 2 options here best case you are incomptent and dont know how to design a website with proper UX, or and probably more likely you do it on purpose to net more money that you would have to pay yourself when shipping from you EU warehouse.
I purchased a head unit it was faulty. They don't want to pay for a returning fee.
I bought Joying head unit for my vw t5.1 , spec sounds impressive but initially the canbus didnt work with the non- switched live on a vw t5.1. I installed my own .FM radio very poor even with aerial amp and new aerial installed.5 months later the DAB stopped working as the USB ports packed up working. After 67 e mails later over three months I gave up. Their customer service wont honour a fault in the unit ie no refund also you have to pay both postage charges to return the unit for repair. Infirior product .Dont waste your money - buy a branded unit Pioneer , Sony or Kenwood
I purchased an Xtrons android head unit for my car (separate review) and unfortunately it was absolutely terrible so I had to return it. As I have a Mazda 3 it's quite hard to find aftermarket head units as it's not a "very popular" car. After shopping around I came across the Joying android head unit for my Mazda 3. The website made it very clear that the unit would be shipped from China, with this in mind i still took a risk and bought the unit as the specs were impressively compared to others on the market. There was a slight delay in the delivery but it was with me within about 2-3 weeks. I have been using the unit for a few months now and I'm very very impressed. It's 100x better than the Xtrons one I had before. The system is perfectly smooth, multi-task easily, sound is great (bose system in car) and there are no faults with it at all. I'm very happy with the product. As well as this i emailed the company on a few occasions and they always replied promptly (impressive for a Chinese company). Definitely recommend even over UK brands
