In September my son got a grade 6 in his year 11 maths mock. In January, he got a grade 9! Really happy with everything jpw have done so far, and can't wait to see how he does in his final exams this year now!

PW Academy has been excellent in providing GCSE tuition for English, Maths, and Science. The tutor is very good, explains topics clearly, and has really helped improve understanding and confidence. Their prices are reasonable, and they were extremely supportive during a time of financial difficulty, which we truly appreciated.

The package we choose, my daughter could attend up to 9 lessons a week (I think), which was phenomenal support throughout her revision and exam period to help keep structured lesson learning alongside her revision methods.

As a Year 10 student attending JPW Tutors’ summer school for Maths, English, and Sciences, I’ve really enjoyed the teaching style across all subjects, The homework level is well-balanced, offering a good challenge without being too much. In English especially, I find it helpful how both Language and Literature are taught and spread out effectively across the sessions. I also really like the video feedback on homework, as it makes the tutoring feel more personal and gives me clear guidance on how to improve.

After joining their gold package for my year 10 son in January, he went from a 4 in science, 4 in maths and 6 in English, to a 7 in science, 6 in maths and 9 in English in his end of year exams. Excited to see the progress he makes with JPW in year 11!

My daughter did this course for English GCSE, and she said that out of the 3 teachers she had the whole time she was doing it 2 times were completely useless and didn’t do anything to help her but one was really really good. this seems unfair as it all depends on your luck. the homework being marked was good and helpful - often a bit too generous with marks which is not always helpful. however, the people you communicate with are sometimes quite rude even if it is their mistake which was a bit of an upsetting experience. I don’t think it is also fully explained that your child does not get to speak on a zoom call, they can only message on the zoom chat. also a lot of the things they cover are very basic because they even have people from year 9 there as well as 11. this means that if your child is grade 6/7 aiming for grade 9 it is not always the most helpful.

I bought this course for my son. I am apprehensive about buying things online, so was already anxious. When we first logged in to portal, there was very limited course available. The phone numbers on emails cut out immediately. Eventually got it sorted. We submitted homework, but it was not marked. My son tells me course has been useful, but on his last session, when he logged in, it seemed to have triggered a subscription for a years worth of lessons, which we never asked for. The notification email gives you 6 minutes to cancel. Needless to say, this was very stressful and spoiled the whole experience. I would have probably registered my daughter for this course, but now have second thoughts. UPDATE - the company has been in contact to explain that the email we received was a function of using Zoom. I am still confused why we only received this on last lesson, but fortunately, no additional charges have been registered to my payment card. We received cursory feedback on the 8 mark question submitted and are hopeful we may receive more constructive feedback on the 20 mark question. Now received

My son has been benefiting from the professional expertise of the competent teachers of the JPW Academy for over two months now. My experience with JPW academy was great. The staff are really supportive and the professionalism of the teachers impeccable. My daughter which she is un year 10 grew her level of confidence and knowledge due to following the English and Science programme.

My son is really enjoying the lessons and has made significant progress, improving his mock exam results from a 4 to a 7! His English teacher is thrilled with his improvement. He even asked me to book another three months of JPW, which is unusual for him as he’s not the type to request extra lessons. It’s clear he’s noticing the difference!

Am glad I found this tutor group it did wonders to my daughter ,her confidence is so high now ,compliments from her school teachers are amazing ,her school mock results are very very good example english predicted is a 7 while before she was on 4 .Kyla now is on top set in all her subjects english set 1, science set 1 and math set1 .All I can say is thank you.

We have now completed a summer course and full term of English . I am so happy and impressed with the team and the tutor and ladies marking. I’ve used many tutors but your system is beyond compare.
