Given a TK Wide water bottle as a gift. It looks like a lovely bottle, but the 32oz one is too big to fit in the car water bottle holder.

So I contacted them to ask if I could exchange for a 20oz bottle, and add an alternative cap so that the value of the replacement nearly matches the value of the original.

They replied to say they have a policy not to allow exchanges. Instead they ask people to use their returns policy.

The returns policy says they'll accept a return with an order number for 14 days (the bare minimum under DSR). I asked how that works for a gift, given I don't have the order number. They said, abruptly, that it would need the order number and it would need to be within 14 days of purchase (or returned by 12th January for things bought over Christmas). If there was over 14 days between a gift being bought and given, tough.

I asked how this fits with their stated value of people buying once and it's good for life, that they want 100% satisfaction and everything should be repairable so nothing becomes redundant. The reply: "The policy regarding exchanges is designed to maintain fairness and integrity in our transactions"

I honestly do not even understand what that means. If someone asked for a refund, I could see their hesitation there. But to exchange something unused for something else that is going to be used for life is an obvious application of their corporate values.

I conclude their stated values are largely just fluff to look good, and in reality they hide behind the absolute minimum they have to do and don't actually care about customer satisfaction.

Ich habe Thermobecher bestellt und sehr heißes Essen reingegeben. Aufgrund Höhenmeter (Berghütte) und späterer Talfahrt - denke ich - dass es ein Unterdruckproblem gab - und ich habe das Gefäß nicht aufbekommen, und sonst auch niemand. Das war sehr frustrierend. Ich habe mich an den Kundendienst gewendet und sie haben mir geantwortet und sich für das Produkt einer fehlerhaften Charge entschuldigt. Ich habe eine Gutschrift für meine Gesamtbestellung (und nicht nur das eine Gefäß) bekommen - und das Kundenservice war sehr sehr freundlich! Generell bin ich mit den Stöpseln von den Flaschen auch nicht so zufrieden - aber ich mag die Marke und das Design sehr sehr gern und kaufe trotzdem immer wieder!

Super Kundenservice. Sie haben mir das Geld einer defekten Thermoskanne anstandslos zurücküberwiesen. Nach einigen emails und der Wahl eines Gutscheins im Wert der Thermoskanne, habe ich mich für "Geld zurück" entschieden. Die Thermoskanne konnte ich behalten.
Durchweg ein sehr netter Kundenservice. Nochmal vielen Dank auf diesem Wege

Mi experiencia con sus productos, comprados en otras tiendas, muy buena pero comprando en su página mal. Acaba de llegar el pedido y de 4 productos me llegan tres. El contacto un email, sin teléfono, que si me llegó a dar cuenta no lo compro a través de ellos . He escrito en el chat y me han contestado rápido y con las dos opciones, reembolso o enviar producto. He elegido reembolso y también rápido lo devuelven. Sigo echando a faltar la opción del teléfono para que sea mucho más rápido resolver las incidencias.

I ve an insulated thermos Klean Kanteen. At the beginning it seemed better but two monthes later, it barely keeps heat for one hour. I am disappointed compared to much cheaper product.

I would be quite hard to design / manufacture a worse thermos flask than this one. (Sorry!) It leaks and more than once has filled my bag with coffee. It also blocks easily, so that nothing comes / the coffee is suddenly released and goes all over you. I would guess some combination of failed design, a lack of proper test and quality assurance.

Bought an Insulated TKWide Bottle and Kid Classic Sport Bottle. Was assured via email that the kid classic sports bottle came with a soft spout (my son is young and I was worried about the hard spout on his teeth). It did not and while they replaced it with another one it still wasn’t really suitable. I’m sure he’s going to be able to use it at some point, but it might not be for years. On top of that the insulated bottle leaked. In fact, it not only leaks, opening it sends a cascade of whatever was inside the straw onto whoever is unlucky enough to be standing nearby. Considering the products aren’t really cheap, it wasn’t really good enough.

I bought my son a bottle from their website and it broke within a month so he couldn't use it as the straw spout ripped. I contacted the company in regards to getting a replacement or a refund and have had no communication in return, this was over a month a go.

In het begin erg tevreden met zowel de klassieke als de TK Wide fles. Helaas begonnen na een jaar het rietje (TK Wide) en het rubberen ringetje (klassieke fles) te schimmelen, ondanks goed schoonmaken. Losse onderdelen zijn alleen via de website te koop voor 1 à 2 euro, maar je betaalt 5,95 euro verzendkosten. Totaal uit verhouding. Klantenservice biedt geen oplossing. In Nederland zijn onderdelen niet los verkrijgbaar. Jammer van de kwaliteit op lange termijn en dat klantenservice niets doet over de schimmel.

Har en mattermos från klean kanteen som aldrig har hållit värmen ens ett par timmar. Jag misstänkte att något var fel med mitt exemplar. Kundservice var helt ointresserade av att produkten jag köpt var helt oanvändbar, utan sa bara att de aldrig hade haft några klagomål på den produkten tidigare. Väljer fortsättningsvis andra märken.

Ich wollte drei Flaschen zurückschicken, weil ich keine Flaschen gebrauchen kann, die ständig auslaufen. Dreimal habe ich per Mail nach einem Retourenschein gefragt, es wurde zwar geantwortet, aber meine Bitte stets ignoriert. Also hab ich die drei Teile ohne Retourenschein zurückgeschickt, fristgerecht und mit einer kleinen Erklärung beiliegend meinerseits, warum ich keinen Retourenschein verwenden konnte. Heute kommt einfach ein Karton mit den drei Flaschen zurück, zusätzlich mit einer ausgedruckten E-Mail, die ich damals schon als Antwort von der Firma erhalten hatte: Sorry, dass du nicht zufrieden bist, aber du kannst ja noch zusätzliche Verschlüsse in unserem Shop bestellen, dann laufen die Flaschen auch nicht mehr aus.
Hab noch nie so ein unprofessionelles Unternehmen gesehen, das riecht echt stark nach Betrug. Finger weg!!

es una pena pero gotea por lo que se estropea las cosas que llevamos en el bolso o la mochila. Cuidado si lleváis papeles en el bolso ya que se estropearán.
Compré la botella pensando que compraba algo de calidad ya que el precio es caro y no es de calidad.
Veo que hay la posibilidad de cambiar el tapón, pero es caro. Por el mismo precio me compraré otra botella de otra marca.
Es una pena, porque el diseño es bonito.

I was tired of my kids’ leaking bottles at school so I invested in 2 klean kanteens for them. We struggled with them for a year and now I decided to give up. They have the classic sport cap and I have to push it so hard to close that a child surely cannot do - it also feels very unhygienic that they have to close the lid using their palms because it is too difficult to do it with the mouth. And even if we succeed to close them they leak a bit. The small silicone that covers the hole to allow air entering the bottle, comes out really easily and that is also a weak point where the leakage happens often. My kids are bigger, these are not the first water bottles that we use but until now these are the worst and most expensive. I am very disappointed.

My worst spent 32 eur. I ordered a cup from the shop. It was leaking. I asked to change it, they refused, saying it’s ok, that the water is running from a closed cup.
I asked to to send it back, they said the cup is considered already used, because I filled it in with water to test it.
Zero service, no desire to acknowledge bad quality.
Fraud. This guys just take your money and do not care any more.

Die Klean Kanteen 1.2l Edelstahl Flasche (einwandig) hat genau die richtige Größe um Wasser auf dem Feuer zu kochen. Der Deckel ist aus Kunststoff, deshalb vorher abschrauben. Dickwandig, extrem stabil und feuerfest. Sie hat auch Windungen, die man evtl. mit einer Schnur umwickeln kann zum Herablassen der Flasche an einem steilen Hang z.B. um Wasser zu sammeln, das schwer erreichbar ist (noch nicht getestet). Das Gewicht ist okay, für ultralight etwas schwer, aber dafür unverwüstlich.
Klare Empfehlung!

An sich nutze ich sehr gerne die Lock Cap Growler Flasche, die ich vor Jahren gekauft habe. Nun musste ich aber feststellen, daß Klean Kanteen die Dichtungsringe dafür nicht mehr verkauft. Immer klasse wenn der Support für ein Produkt eingestellt wird, um andere Produkte zu verkaufen.

Their warranty is a joke. Their customer service is even funnier. I bought a mug for my daughter and my granddaughter knocked it off by accident. Now due to the debt the lid does not seal right. I filed a warranty claim and they only guarantee against manufacture defects. Their warranty wording does not exclude accidental issues(other popular companies do). They are not standing behind their product. Save your money.
