Buona organizzazione del mio viaggio studio a Edimburgo per il mio gruppo. Il mio gruppo era composto da 40 studenti e tutto è andato bene. La comunicazione durante la procedura di prenotazione è stata molto veloce e chiara, gli alloggi erano buoni.

We booked a stage in Edinburgh and the accomodation they found for the teachers was awful: no heating in the bedroom, dirty sheets, no towels, the owner was sleeping in a tent set in her living room, no table or place to sit. Instead of the matress bases there were folded cardboard. The assistance was poor and only in the late evening of the second day they found us new accomodations.
The school on the other hand was really good, with great and dedicated teachers.
The activities were ok, apart from the guided trekking to Arthur's seat.

We take all feedback seriously and are sorry to hear about the difficulties experienced with the homestay accommodation. As our terms and conditions make clear, accommodation is provided by a third-party partner, and upon receiving the complaint we acted immediately, offering our sincere apologies and three alternative host family placements. These were all rejected by you, and we therefore arranged hotel accommodation near the school at our own cost in order to best meet all requirements and minimise further disruption. We also note that the students experienced no issues during the trip, and that overall feedback for the programme was positive. We are proud of the programme we delivered and remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of service at all times.
Language trip to Brighton.
We have orgnised with UKEDA a 2-week language trip with my school in Brighton. We booked a homestay for our students and teachers with lessons and activities. Everything went well; we had excursions to Seven Sisters, London and Lewes, the lessons were very engaging for our students, and the trips and activities were very well organised with guides and activity leaders. I am happy to explore future trips for my students as the experience was enjoyable.

I am writing this report to caution other parents considering a UKEDA Junior Summer School course. Our experience in the summer of 2025 was rather disappointing.
We enrolled our 13-year-old daughter in their two-week course, advertised by UKEDA, a British Council-approved language centre. To be honest, we feel we made a poor choice.
While appearing to be run by UKEDA, the course was subcontracted to another company, Anglo. This crucial detail—that we were dealing with an agent for a third-party provider—was not apparent in our exchanges with sales staff and might have led us to look elsewhere.
Our daughter was to travel to the UK alone where she was met by a relative and released to the care of the school a couple of days later. This all went without a hitch thanks to the crew and staff at Cathay Pacific, her relatives and the school representative.
However, once at the campus, several problems emerged. Firstly, while promised a multinational environment, the vast majority of students were from just two schools, with only my daughter and one other child attending independently. The groups were dominated by pre-existing friends who shared a common language.
Crucially, the “Group Leaders” were staff from these same schools and communicated predominantly in Italian or Turkish, not English. This environment completely undermined the purpose of an English immersion course, making it incredibly difficult for the independent children to integrate or understand what was happening.
The course felt more like a school trip than a language program. With only 30 hours of lessons over two weeks and 18 half-days of loosely supervised excursions, the academic value was minimal. My daughter cannot point to anything she learned.
Finally, she received a certificate awarding her a B1 level without any actual test. As a 20-year ESL teacher, I find this baffling and dishonest.
In summation: If you seek a language-focused course, look elsewhere. If your child is independent, ask specific questions about group nationality mix. We feel we could have provided a far more valuable experience. I rank this a 4 out of 10."

I am really sorry that you felt our service and Emma's experience were not satisfactory.
I understand that part of Emma’s experience involved the change of the campus. We tried to find the best possible solution and I appreciate your flexibility when it happened and accepting the move to the Uxbridge campus.
When Emma started her programme, I had the impression, from the email you sent, when you wrote about the concerns regarding dorm supervision and students staying up until late, that, despite that, Emma had a nice time. You said, ’ Emma’s having a great time, thanks for asking. The schedule is pretty intense with trips into London almost every day so she’s kind of tired out at the end of each day. Unfortunately, there seems not to be a hard and fast “lights out” time which means that the kids are still running around and making noise even past midnight....'
When you got in touch with the campus manager, I thought the situation had improved. We try to help in situations when things do not go as planned.
You also wrote in your review that there were only 30 lessons over the 2 weeks, but in the email, you mentioned that the schedule was intense.
Regarding the presence of groups on campus, this is a point which is hard to change, as most of the students enrolled come in groups but we always write this about our programmes and I checked our conversations and I wrote this in the email when you contacted us for the first time in February and then again in April.
Our goal is for every student to leave our summer programmes with a positive experience both in and out of the classroom. I am sorry that you feel that, on this occasion, we fell short of your expectations.
We listen to the feedback of our clients; to improve and avoid similar situations and would definitely value receiving the comment directly.
Well, please consider this email as a reply to your review and comments about Emma's experience, we do not see our client just as a number, forgotten immediately after the finish of the course. We were just not aware of your review.
