Experience until May was good

Experience until May was good. Good wines at a fair price and delivery was good. But I have two outstanding orders, one over two weeks old and no shipments underway. They tell me that I'm in the queue but with no promise shipment date.

Hey Jim-- Thank you for reaching out to us about this issue. I spoke with my team in the warehouse, and they can confirm that one package departed the warehouse today, and the second is due out on Tuesday. We will add complimentary icepacks to the second package.

I've also escalated this issue with our warehouse management so it does not happen again. Have a lovely Memorial Day!

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Ordered a case of wine and 10 days later no shipment. Because the wine industry is in trouble, there are amazing deals on wine at local stores and even big chains. No need to deal with an online scam like Last Bottle. Their ship has sailed.

Got hot email to buy wine at steep dsiscount.
Thought I woulkd try it, but should have known better.
Here'is what I know now.
Ordered bottle depending on email that offered "$20 off first order" Said "put in offer code at check out. Surprise! No way to apply the code and was charged full price Oh, do I need to say it? Wine not delivered,
Company has ignored/failed to respond to emails - which is the only way they take messages.
There iis "no one home" if you call customer service number just a messages saying they don't take calls(!) and to send email. Which is ignored.
Glad only lost not too much money on bad deal

Overall, pretty darn good

Patience please...
I ordered over $1,000 of wine in August 2024. My CC was charged immediately. Three and a half months later the wine was delivered. To be fair, they stated that delivery could take 6 weeks, so they were only off by 125%. But I do like and frequently still purchase from the site.

No Ice Pack, No Good Resolution

I ordered three bottles of wine and paid for the ice pack since the weather in Southern California was hot. I was disappointed to get my wine AND THERE WAS NO ICE PACK. I sent an email to Last Bottle and they said they would credit me for the lack of ice. They credited my Last Bottle account and when I said I wanted the credit on my credit card they did that.

When I said I was concerned about the quality of the wine standing up to the heat, they gave me a couple of choices. They said I could send the wine back. Or, they said I could sample one of the bottles and let them know if there was a problem with it. I told them i wasn't planning on drinking any of those bottles this soon and preferred to lay it down for a year or so. So now they wanted me to open a bottle to see if their mistake ruined the wine, even when that wasn't what I had wanted to do. I suggested returning the heated bottles and having them send properly shipped wine as I had ordered. The agent said they didn't have any more of that wine - hence the name Last Bottle I suppose.

They have good deals on wine, but can't be trusted to ship the wine properly and there isn't a chance to get those bottles when you find out they messed up the shipping. And it's a hassle to have to go through procedures to return the wine.

The agent was nice, but I don't like companies that inconvenience their customers for their mistakes. Probably wouldn't recommend a company like that.

At Last Bottle, we aim to make every part of your experience as enjoyable as the wine itself, and we fell short this time. I’d love to make things right for you. Here’s how we can move forward:

Hassle-Free Return: You can return the wine for a full refund. All you need to do is print the return label we’ll send you and leave the package on your front porch for pickup.

Wait-and-See Option: If you prefer to lay the wine down for a year as originally planned, I completely understand. In this case, if you find that it falls short of expectations in a year, we can add credits to your Last Bottle account for future purchases as a gesture of goodwill. That way, you can try another bottle if there’s any issue after you open these. Wine is pretty resilient, and there's a strong chance it'll be as delicious as anticipated.

Please know that this incident isn’t reflective of our usual high standard, and I will personally make sure your future orders are handled with the utmost care.

If you’d like to go with either option—or have another solution in mind—just let us know on your original email chain, and we'll take care of it right away.

If They Have Shipping Problems, It's Your Fault

I ordered six bottles which were supposed to be delivered by FedEx on Sunday, September 8. I was home that day. Still I got a text from Fed Ex that said they were unable to deliver because no one was home, and they would try again Monday. If the delivery person came to the door, he did not ring the doorbell. That's very odd since these deliveries require an adult signature. On Monday, FedEx told me it was out for delivery and then later that there had been a "delivery interruption," and the box had been returned to their warehouse for "inspection." On Tuesday, another promised delivery, and another non- delivery. The same on Wednesday and then Thursday. I asked Last Bottle to take the shipment back and refund my money. Who knows what that wine would taste like after being in hot delivery trucks for several days. After sending three emails, I finally got a response from Last Bottle. They would refund my money minus 3% and minus shipping charges! I fail to see how any of this was my fault, or why I should be penalized for FedEx's problems. They are right about one thing: that was the Last Bottle I'll ever order from them. Beware!

We do our best to coordinate with FedEx to get our shipments delivered on the first attempt; it is difficult since we have no control over their drivers and trucks. Nevertheless, this is not the customer experience we intend to provide. I understand that my colleagues in Customer Service have already added credits to your account with us, and I hope you try us out again.

Good wines and prices, but not always as described

I have been buying wines from last battle for about 15 years. I have had mostly good experiences and customer service has been responsive when I had issues. I assume anyone who has bought much from LastBottle learned that they have an extraordinarily creative writer for descriptions of wine offerings that often don’t live up to the hype (but they’re entertaining). have begun to question the prices they advertise when offers come up daily. I know “Retail” is meaningless to many of us, probably what is charged at the winery. I always thought “Best Web” meant the current best available price found elsewhere on the web (WWW). However, often a quick search reveals lower prices, just as it does today. Last Bottle’s offering is $29, but I quickly found the same product for $24-$25. None of this means that Last Bottle is not offering some stellar wines and at good prices, but I’ve learned it pays to check other sources for ratings and opinions and don’t believe their offering price is necessarily better than other websites.

Horrible…

Save yourself the aggravation and don’t order from them. I placed an order with them 2 weeks ago and never received it. They haven’t issued a refund yet and take forever to respond to email. They are as horrible as it gets! I will file a complaint with authorities!

I ordered 2 bottles from last bottle wines. I later found the same bottle at a local liquor store for $9 less. The next ad for wine I also found for less at a local liquor store. Buyer beware!

It looks like you purchased the Beringer Knights Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Beringer does indeed produce cabernets at a variety of price-points. Was your bottle the same vineyard designation and vintage?

Great prices and awesome customer service!

To start, I get the opportunity to buy and try wines that I can't get around my home area. On top of that, they have great prices and their customer service is awesome. Normally, shipments are shipped quickly and well packaged to prevent damage. Throw a blazing fire or severe storm at them and the wine still comes timely without a hitch.

Great Selection and Prices

I have been dealing with Last Bottle for about a year and a half. My experience has been excellent. I have obtained some great wines at great prices. Some of these deals are off the charts. I was a wine buyer for a chain of liquor stores for 10 years but have been out of the game for a long while. This allows me to try a lot of different wines for reasonable prices.

Last Bottle delivers great Customer Service!

I've done business with numerous online wine sites and no one, I mean no one, is as reliable as Last Bottle!

I don't say this because they're perfect- no one is. They do a great job regularly but the differentiator is how they handle the tough situations, whether something is out of their control or a product they've sold has gone bad before it can even be enjoyed.

Kudos to Last Bottle for having a tremendous customer service team. They understand the value of a customer and always try to do the right thing. That's all you can ask for, so keep up the good work Last Bottle!

Last bottles hasn’t shipped after 10 days

1/16/2023 - I placed an order on last bottle wines 10 days ago. I still haven’t received a date of when I can expect the wine. It says 2 to 5 business days, the wine is only coming from Napa CA I’m in Los Angeles weather is fine so not sure why it’s taking soooo long. Their app says the wine has shipped but no date on when it will deliver. I contacted the shipping company and they only have a label and no actual package.

You cannot get a hold of anyone live at the company - their phone number refers you back to their email which takes a few days to get a response from.

Overall very underwhelmed so far with lack of human support and time to ship. I’ll post back again if I don’t receive any feedback soon. Very disappointing.

So I eventually received my wine, 12 days after I ordered.

Thanks for delivering and thank you for your response. I updated review to rank 3 stars it was still very very slow and it’s impossible to talk to anyone. Also their email response takes a few days.

Last Bottle is amazing!

Last Bottle is amazing! I'd recommend to anyone with even a passing interest in wine. I was introduced to it by a New Yorker friend – Kiwi wine enthusiast – who set me on a path to a happy life of a growing collection and some great tasting experiences. I usually stick to the more affordable stuff but everything I've had was better than what I'd have picked up in stores for the same price, and the free shipping makes it very okay to buy half a case....

I'm hoping for a few more whites to come through but on the whole its been very fun getting the emails every day and rolling the dice on some great varietals.

The entire premise of this Wine supplier is a lie. There is no last bottle . I placed an order and on my screen it said congrats you purchased last bottle. I didn't receive any confirmation of it so I emailed them. They told me they still had 10,000 bottles left. Thats odd as website said out of stock . First I are told I am getting great deals on small lots then I am told that they have over 10,000 bottles left of a specific vintage even though the order says sold out. No winners are ever posted . Its a scam

I’ve been using Last Bottle for years. It was always great but it’s gotten better over time. Without question you’ll find wine that you love at prices you’ll love even more. From big Napa Cabs to Bordeaux. New Zealand whites. Spanish wines. Sauternes. Port. Vintage deals. Champagne. Periodic crazy sales. Great customer service but e-mail only. Not a problem. Very responsive. Try them.
