Accepted a quote on the 27th September 2024 took them over 7 weeks to agree to do the work on front and back gutters. Following this they agreed to start the work that should had started on Monday 4th november failed to turn up after waiting in from 12 even though they re assured me they would turn up 3 o'clock came and they said they couldn't do the work that day due to another call. Got promised the work would start at 9 am following day it DIDNT 11 am the man said he's here all day making sure this work gets done he was their for 30 mins and left to get some blue roll to dry my.gutters out. From 11 30 am he was gone to 3pm I was ringing the office telling me he will be an hour 3 hours he was gone all I got was lies from the office when he got back they story what he told me was completely different to the roofer as he got told to load a van and to price a job up even though I got let down the day before and he said he would have to turn up tommrow morning to finish the job pretty unprofessional in my opinion I've worked in the construction trade when I can tell they was lying from the get go avoid if you wanna get let down on day or timings they promise you.

Quoted £300+ to fix leak in roof lantern. Came out and did no more than apply sealant without proper examination of leaking areas, contrary to specification of quote (said they’d done all that would be needed). Didn’t cure leak and refuse to return to do the job properly as no guarantee given. Only recommendation is to avoid this company.

Paid £900 for a report on the roof and the cost of the cherry picker, then was told I would get £450 off the work. It was only a small leak, we manage 72 properties in the area so had an idea of what's required and where it came from. Were then given a quote of just over £11,000 but no report to identify the problem, just a default to new roof. similar jobs have cost around £1000.
Currently with trading standards until we receive a satisfactory response.

Steer clear.

I enquired about a brand new roof so quite a big job.

On Wednesday 15th Aug, Kayleigh, who I presume is the receptionist, said someone will come out Monday morning. Monday came and no one showed so I rang. She said someone will come the next day on Tuesday. Again, no one came.

I rang on the Tuesday to ask what was going on. She said we have put you to the 27th August. I replied that she said it was today to which she responded that someone has looked at it today and moved it to 27th August. I simply asked her, do you normally contact customers tk update them on this. She hung up.

I range back several times but eventually she disconnected the phone line.

Beware.

I was not at all satisfied with the job that was done. I had a leak straight after the work, which they blamed on the scaffolders. Then I needed further work done on the gutter. Some of the tiles were not nailed on and the sealing around chimney was not properly done. Furthermore, there was a mess left in next door's gutter and back garden (which was also very embarrassing to explain and apologise to my neighbour for).

When I raised these issues, I was met with a defensive and I felt aggressive attitude in person, which made me decide to write off my losses. I now have a very good roofer who is repairing all the issues. I do NOT recommend this company.

If I could give a minus one rating, I would. These guys are total rip off merchants.
They quoted me £17, 895 to repair my roof with 15 to 20 tiles and 25 welsh tiles ( whatever that means). I paid £900 upfront as requested. There were a number of false starts when they didnt turn up when expected. I told them I am a home dialysis patient so have limited availability. They were also aware that my dialysis equiptment is kept and used in my bedroom which is where the leak is.
When they finally turned up they were here less than 10 minites and replaced only 3 tiles. When > I called and spoke to Kayleigh fully expecting the cost to be drastically reduced due to the minimal work done and time spent. I was told I would have to pay the remaining amount with only £100 discount. So they were expexting me to pay almost £18000 for 3 tiles and 10 minutes up a ladder. These people are rip off merchants. It even worse because they knew I was a vulnerable person due to being a dialysis patient.

We had some leaks at the front of the house. Had leakproof roofing out to fix them and they recommended we needed the roof retiling. We agreed and they came out to do the job.
The roof was repaired but the leaks returned.
We had them out three more times to fix the leaks and readjust the guttering.

It was at that point I noticed water coming into the spare room at the back of the house - somewhere we have never had problems.

Roofer came out and looked at it and said the scaffolders damaged the lead work and it would need repairing.

When I asked to speak to the owner at that time he screamed lots of abuse at me and told me they were fixing it. He rang a week later to apologise.

They came back out to repair the lead work they damaged but when I asked for them to send a written record out for my own records they never did and this morning the water is coming back in to the spot they damaged.

After the months we have had with leakproof and how we have been treated we are cutting our losses and paying someone else to look at it and incurring the costs. And then having to redecorate.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I contacted them as the Gutter Guys had fitted a new gutter & downpipe January last year, the bracket came away and, I could see debri so, I contacted them and asked to do it free of charge as it was only done last year, they did but, the gutter is still dripping, no where near like it was but, it still should not do thst, I noticed, the debri is still in the gutter, I contacted these people who said they would be here on 14th November but, no time, I contacted them, they re-scheduled due to the weather for Thursday, again, no time, I looked online for the forecast, it will be raining so, I told her to leave it, whoever is praising these people must be either, the staff or friends!!

I had a great experience working with Leak Proof Roofing Service. They were able to come out to my home for an estimate within a few days of my call, and their price was very reasonable. The crew arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner. They were polite and respectful, and left my property looking clean and tidy. I am very satisfied with the results and would highly recommend this roofing company.
