I also fell victim of their terms and conditions. Cleverly worded and the bulk of which are not included in the documentation they send you but buried in external links. The terms say they are due a fee no matter what basically. This is NOT what they explained on the phone.

Not only did they do nothing to introduce me to the eventual buyer, I had already given written notice before the sale but because the sale was within 6 weeks after they still came for their fee with an abysmal, aggressive, legally threatening tone, contacted the new owners of the business even though it's nothing to do with them.

I would strongly recommend anyone looking to sell a business to not use Cogogo. Find an honest broker, or use services you can find like Flippa or Acquire.com.

I would give zero stars if I could.

Initially, my experience with the sales/introduction team was pleasant. However I was told that it is a NO SALE - NO FEE service. However, this is NOT the case.. they want the full fee even if you decide not to sell anymore, or if you need to hand your premises back to landlord.. or any other reason, there is no way out of the contract (UNEXPLAINED terms and conditions linked in contract) without paying them a fee (half or full).

They ARE NOT regulated by the FCA. I have requested a recording of the calls where it was explained there would be no fee if no sale was made.. and the reply I had was 'recordings will not be sent'.. although it is a consumers right under GDPR laws to request any information a company holds of yours.

Do not go near this company. They are MISLEADING, NOT TRUTHFUL, SCAMMERS AND NOT REGULATED.

I had a very disappointing experience with CoGoGo. After terminating my agreement, they later attempted to charge me a £2,995 + VAT “success fee” on the basis that a sale had supposedly taken place, which is simply not true.

I clearly informed them I was not in negotiations with any buyers at the time of termination, which they acknowledged in writing. I then ceased trading and returned the premises to the landlord. There was no sale, no transfer of assets or goodwill, and no money received by me from any third party.

Despite this, they are now trying to rely on the fact that a new company was incorporated after I left the premises as evidence of a “sale in progress,” which is misleading and unsupported by any actual proof.

I would strongly advise anyone considering using their services to carefully review the terms and be cautious of how fees may be pursued. My experience has been stressful and frustrating, having to dispute a claim that has no factual basis.

I hope this review encourages better transparency.

I recently completed the sale of my business through this broker. While the “no sale, no fee” model provides some reassurance, my overall experience was mixed.

There were a few positives - particularly the support at the final stage and the assistance with chasing outstanding matters (thank you Kylie!).

However, I felt the initial valuation was unrealistic, discovery call pushy to accept the terms I had no time to read, the marketing materials required significant correction on my side, and much of the core work (viewings, communication with the buyer, and document analysis) was ultimately handled by me.

Considering the level of commission charged, I do not feel the service provided represented fair value. In practice, the main contribution felt limited to administrative follow-ups rather than meaningful involvement in the transaction (I could literally pay for the business listing and handle everything myself).

It may be useful service for someone selling a business for the first time, but expectations around value and support should be set carefully (and read the agreement very carefully before signing!)

While the purchase did take longer than expected, this was no fault of the company, as there was several issues to be resolved with the vendor, both personally, and at the land registry.

This purchase may have taken top spot for the longest purchase in history..😅 however, throughout the process we did have a couple of case handlers twitch. When Kylie came on board. She was a breath of fresh air, following up and updating regularly, as well as chasing and even re-negotiating on our behalf, she really was great. ⭐ 🌟 🤩 🌟 ⭐️

Where do I begin! This has been a very long and arduous process (through no fault of letscogogo). Kylie has remained professional, in contact and helpful throughout the entire ordeal making sure I am kept in the loop as to what is going on. We have had so much contact over the last near 18 months I think I'm going to miss our regular calls and emails. Thank you so much to Kylie for helping me through this - you deserve a well deserved break.

Overall our experience of selling our business in Sheffield through Cogogo was very good. At first a little fraught with lack of interested parties to by our business but once we did have interest the team at Cogogo were very good with us.
Two members of the team in particular, Aidan Murphy who was our initial contact & then Kylie Jones who oversaw the process, were extremely courteous & helpful.
When at times we thought things were going wrong, Kylie was there to reassure us & get us back on track.
She always kept us updated with the process, & always answered any queries we had.

Totally incompetent,publishes the wrong information. i eventually noticed and they said they would change. 3 weeks later they have done nothing. Waste of time and effort.

I emailed 2 seperate people and recieved no response. They are quick enough to get you to pay to prove who you are but then its a joke.
I advise people to avoid this company

And to add to this suddenly after being almost dormant they are getting loads od positive reviews from people that appear from nowhere.
