as I have used Cyberlink video director for a few years now I decided to upgrade to 365 and also bought power DVD. However Power DVD is a big let down constant crashes, can't recognize CD details, setup is a complete nightmare after hours I am still trying to get it to work properly, I can't get it to work with my phone remote (Power DVD remote app) I reported this problem 7 years ago and it still exists, the only thing it does right is read video files, music files and DVDs and Blu rays forget the rest. very poor value for money

Update: Gone from bad to worse, now I can't even access my you tube account as my other Cyberlink program is locking it out. I complete waste of over £60 I will definitely avoid this in future. Update: 8th Jan 2024 still can't access my you tube account as Cyberlink are giving an Invaled request for some reason. Tried emailing them all you get is loads of FAQs which are no use and time consuming. Update: 10th Jan 2024 still no reply as to how to fix this you tube account problem.

Update:16th Jan 2024: Still no help from Cyberlink, sent them anther email. I am starting to think You Tube are behind this to an extent too.

Update:28th Jan 2024 And still no word or email from Cyberlink on how to get my you tube working again. Cyberlink seem to have avoided access to my you tube account but no explanation or anything why. I will not buy this package again, I feel completely ripped off.

Cyberlink is lucky that this gives them one star because it if were up to me they get - 20 score. I paid $ 190 Canadian for PowerDirector 16 Ultimateand which can't be used on Mac and they gave me a so called 3 registered lifetime licenses. That again I can't download on my Mac. Customer service! Dont make me laugh. No one ever response to you. Ever. No matter if you send them (My Support Ticket) 1 million times. I so hate them for this. $190 is a lot of effin money to steal from me and I will for ever tell others not to purchase nothing from this fake irresponsible site. Somebody owes me $190 dollars. avoid these crooks at all cost.

I will never know if the product is any good, as despite all the boasts.....................it didn't work for me, and two weeks later Customer Support is 'going to look into it' How pathetic!

Die kostenlose Version ist nutzlos. Man kann keine Datei hochladen und das Programm mal AUSPROBIEREN, weil man sofort das Programm kaufen soll. Wieso muss man heutzutage ALLES erst kaufen, bevor man es einfach mal testen kann? Das hab ich 2x gemacht und leider waren beide nicht dass, was ich wirklich gesucht habe.
Ich bezahle NIE WIEDER erst etwas, wenn ich es nicht erst vernünftig testen kann.

Jetzt ist Final Cut Pro dran, da kann ich ganze 90 Tage kostenlos das Programm testen.

Did not want to deal with them, just download the software that was promised for free while buying a bluray writer/reader. had to make an account to be eligible (which is bs). The login afterwards asked for the password, but the password now had to follow different rules and so the password i had just created was no invalid. When asking the helpdesk.. they told me i could read their answer after logging in.....

Also, since creating that account I have received unwanted mail from them pretty much every day, aka SPAM

I purchased the Cyberlink Photo Director 365 in February this year. Last month I did a factory reset on my laptop. When I downloaded the program again there was nowhere to reregister it so all I have is the free version with very limited features. I explained the problem to customer care and they could not fix it, nor would they credit me for the 3 months subscription that I had left. The program is great to use but the company treats customers badly if there is a problem with the software.

Each of the 2 times that i upload my project to you tube, it leaves out images from my video project and I have reviewed it at least 3 to 4 times before each of the 2 times that i uploaded it to you tube and the previews are great. I notified cyberlink earlier this week by online message, since there was no phone number to call, and they just sent me a whole page of different directions and it still doesn't upload correctly even after i followed the directions. I think i may go back to the very first video editing company I used which is somewhat new, but lord knows I didn't have any issues during /nor after uploading my videos to you tube at all. I only joined cyberlink mainly because they have been around longer and overall the reviews decent and they have a lot of features in their video editing software.

Over complicated and under supported, waste of time unless you want to take a year understanding it

This is a scam company for sure. So last year I bought a serial key for YouCam 9. Now I am not able to activate the trial, it just keeps asking for upgrade.
So It seems I paid 35$ without knowing that license is just for one year as it never said that on their page and it's not mentioned in the emails they sent.
Waste of money, I will look for something else.

I have been buying PowerDVD Ultra from them for several years, a good program for playing 4K and FullHD movies. I also buy Power2Go from them. I recommend.

ANY AND EVERYTIME I TRY TO GET HELP ON A PROBLEM IT DOES NOT RESOLVE! The power director updates usually have a bug but for 7 months now I can't access the cloud to store file, can't put them up, can't get them down and even when I try to file a request or claim on line, it stalls, and then the answer takes to long to come back, when it does it's just a jumble!! they have the worse support of any company I've ever dealt with! Worse than a bad car repair shop...SERIOUSLY!

I bought a Pioneer uhd player/burner (newest model March of 22) for pc from the Pioneer store. Figure simple enough thing. I did my homework on this as far as requirements and such,, checked all the boxes.. Wouldn't play 4k uhd disc. Called Pioneer they need a 5 digit code it only
Gives 10 digit codes.. Pioneer support who then has to talk to cyberlink who at this point has not responded. 4days and going. I looked at the cyberlink site and seems they want $59 month/year site doesn't say. Call the number on the site and you get a different company who couldn't answer that question for fact or could I see it in writing. Site is ambiguous at best. It talks about uhd and more at the $59 mentioned above. I guess I'll find out once someone gets back with me if that's the case. (Thats having to buy software for uhd to function) It came with a cyberlink software suite (14) There at (21) currently. Getting ready to release 22 in april. At least That's when they released last year.. come on Pioneer 8 yr old software to watch newer uhd releases in a new product. According to cyberlink you can't do a patch to help with that because its not a paid version.. What? I just paid for both.. Supposed to come with purchase.. i wish I had read trust pilot prior to purchase.. I would have researched software options prior to. Way to frustrated now. One star is for anyone who thinks that you could just plug and play this player be warned. With the software side of the equation being so ambiguous really do your homework on both businesses. After nearly everything goes down automatically, it seemed shady to me from the beginning. I cancelled the program. They clearly paid a lot to get on google's first hits. So many questions about it lands you on their website and not another maybe more objective one. This is capitalism of the highest order. Don't download this. If you do and aren't careful, it is already too late. Click the program, be away from you PC to make a tea, and you probably have a subscription for life. Professionalism is everything else.

I bought cyberlink power2 go 13 from this company and paid online with downloading. Three months later, the programme ceased to work after troubling me off and on from the word go. I requested them to renew the download of a working programme and they are asking for a further year's subsciption to be able to do that !!! Rip off artistes and outright cheating for charging for a programme which has not been fit for purpose. Shameful to extract money like this from customers.

Very low quality software for video editing. I have bought and installed the software for video editing (Powerdirector and colordirector) and it took 7 hours to produce a 3 minute video. I also asked the company to try the colordirector software since there my trial was expired and i got no answer. The software doesn't use at all my GPU for render video. Very disappointed by the sotware and there is no option to cancel subscription now that's paid. Look for other software... this is not the 1st one as the splash says

I bought their YouCam 9 Deluxe software in January of this year. A month ago, I bought a new computer and tried to install YouCam 9 Deluxe on it but could not find a way to do so, so I contacted their support.

They claim that the download link is only good for 30 days and that I had to buy "Extended Download Service" in order to get the software that I, in good faith, purchased from them. What the hell is "Extended Download Service???"

I have all the emails and receipts from that purchase and NOWHERE on it does it say I would need this "Service." So, since I did not purchase "Extended Download Service," they have not said directly, but implied that in order to use the YouCam 9 Deluxe, I'd have to purchase it AGAIN.

Buyer beware. Total rip-off, "bait and switch" liars. All this hassle for a mediocre product. Never again. There is better software, with more honest developers out there.

It's always a frustrating experience to use software from CyberLink.

The download I get offered is identified as a "possible security risk".
They just want to sell frustration!...
And they can, because for some reason they occupied a niche.

Have purchased PowerDirector many many times in the past but lately their customer service stinks. After a bat install of W11 went wrong I had to reinstall, my reinstall goes like this, first I install PowerDirector 14 (because that installs smartsounds quicktracks, then I install later versions and quicktracks is carried forward and that way I get Quicktracks in my latest purchase of PowerDirector 20, but this time PD14 syas I have installed it to many time, well yes over any years I have re-installed it after formats, new computer etc. I contacted them and asked if they could allow me to install/activate, they replied I needed to send them a photo of the box, a copy of purchase receipt, well I don't keep receipts for items purchased over 6 years ago, nor the boxes, but I sent photos of the disks, the leaflets that came with it, serial number on the envelope's, but they just never answered and now ignoring me!

everything works great, there are really good effects updated regularly, and cool transitions, quality is great, workflow is awesome, you can even upload directly to youtube and vimeo and other websites, though i prefer adobe premiere's workflow, which is way easier, also you can download a lot of istock and shutterstock videos for free, which is great also, don't listen to the negative reviews.

upgraded PhotoDirector to version 12 in march 2021 to use on my stationary computer and eventually on my laptop. I ended up buying a MacBook and would like to install PhotoDirector on it, but not find anywhere to download the software on cyberlinks members page (I could not even download the Windows version I bought which would mean if I bought a new computer I would not be able to install it).
Contacted helpdesk and was told that I would have to buy a Mac version and that I could not install the windows version on a stationary pc and on a windows laptop.
Now I will definitely find an alternative photo editing software and never buy anything from Cyberlink ever again.
All other editing software will accept that you install it on both stationary pc and laptop.
Cannot recommend Cyberlink
