It is unacceptable that after phone calls and several emails sent, we have not received any response to our request for clarification because we were not sent the citizen card (ID document) that was requested 92 days ago. We paid £36.35 and received no service.
We have complained formally several times to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has not even acknowledged receipt of the complaint, nor has it responded!
We could not vote on the last elections because we do not have an identification document and we cannot use the Portuguese citizen identification for legal purposes. Nor can we travel because we do not have the aforementioned document.
It is truly sad to see the way Portuguese citizens are treated by the Portuguese Consulate in London, and by the Portuguese Government itself.
