I have a problem with the steering in…

I have a problem with the steering in my Subaru Outback. Whilst lube mobile were very prompt in coming out which I accepted the $99,95 call out fee, the problem was not fixed. The mechanic was polite, however, had no idea what the problem was and just guessed what it may be. He suggested new oil in the diffs which I accepted, however, after about 2 hours this did not work and he just advised that I should take it somewhere else. Then he charged me $540 and I am still left with the same problem. This is bad form Lube Mobile and I think that he should have been upfront that he did not know and I should have only been charged for the call out fee. No way would I recommend this mob.

A shout out to Alex (Q42) for his exceptionally professional and courteous manner in carrying out a service on my elderly parents’ car. The car hadn’t been serviced for quite a while and he kept us informed as to what was required at each step. Thank you Alex, greatly appreciated. Highly recommend and will certainly book again for the next service.

Good work, excessive and misleading billing

The mechanic Ben did a great job.
The billing and job estimate was misleading and in the end, excessive.
1. The 'minimum charge' in the quote email (which I believe is a fee if no job eventuates), was changed to a 'call-out' fee, and then added to the job.
2. Based on some Toyota advice, the job was estimated at 1.5 hours. The job was completed in 45m including a road test. Thus, I was billed for double the actual job time and then had the minimum charge estimate changed to a call-out fee and added to the bill. Not happy, sadly, will never use again.

This really is the most basic of…

This really is the most basic of reports and to be honest unless you know nothing about cars it's not really worth the money. Minimal effort on their part and the report isn't sufficient in my opinion to give you good enough insight into the car, next time I will just book the car in with a dealer for an inspection or service as it's similar pricing and they give you all the advisories.

Great service

Great service, on time and fixed the problem. Beni is an absolute top bloke, definitely recommend him and will be getting him back for the next service 100%.

Lube returned a third time now paid.

Lube returned a third time now paid.

 paid $307 and $1400 for new  air-conditioning compressor unit but gurss what ,its still not working 

Macanicsaid he will disconnectit and i can drive like that so why did they fit a $1400 unit to leave it not working 

.no response to 4 email or messages .paid but aircon still not working

Need a detailed invoice for both amounts paid to lube ,as well as Compressor make and model fitted ,the box for the new one fitted as well as my old Compressor. Thanking you in advance and awaiting

And things just got worse.

On Tuesday my car was once again repaired by lube and its has been a disaster 

The mechanic arrived 1.5 hours late.

Quoted me on the repairs $800

Told him to go ahead.

Called me 1 hour later told me it was $1400 told him I was unhappy as he quoted $800 twice before,he said well I said $800 so $800 it is .

While I was at work he called 4 hours later to say I need to pay $1907 to this I was in shock..I explained that I had budgeted on his quote,his response was that he is new at the company only 2 months and forgot the Labor costs .

I explained that I would not have done the job just yet had I know that price as I just arranged the $800.

The mechanic said well he will pull everything out of my car and I'll see what I get when I' get home. 

This had all been horrific. 

I.now don't know what he has done to my car.

And awaiting a reply from any one to help in this situation.

Had my car serviced yesterday

Turns out the fan belt was the reason for the noise ,today while driving to work the car overheated and I had to stop on the highway,unsafe, stressful and very scary, for 5.5 hours. after 5.5 hours was towed home ,the racq looked and said I have no fan belt.that's the cause of my breakdown and they don't think it's anything to do with the air-conditioning,surly this would have been picked up by your macanic that the belt was faulty ,used or lose.

I asked him to check the belts as my work colleague said it sounded like a belt.

I'm just a little sad that I had to go though this all today when that's exactly why I call for help from Your company yesterday to avoid any breakdown. 

I feel today's horror could have been avoided and yet it was not .

I believe my car needs a fanbelt now.

Please advise when a macanic could look at it as I need it repaired as I go to work everyday. 

Please could I ask for a different chap to look at the car on Monday as this has all just left a bad taste in my mouth and would like it resolved

An Absolute RIP OFF !!

An Absolute RIP OFF !!! When I booked online I gave a description of the vehicle - Landrover Discovery and what the issue was. The mechanic turned up, said he forgot his diagnostic gear, so took my car .... with a gear box issue and flogged it back to his workshop. Came back nearly **2 hours later** and said there was nothing wrong with my car. Charged me a call out fee plus another $50.00 ($150.00). As soon as he left I jumped in my car and couldn't even drive it out of my driveway. His only piece of advice to me was maybe I could get an auto electrician to "take a look".
When I googled landrover specialist before booking them -- Lube Mobile sprouted that they were the guys !!!! WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN !!!

Not impressed with the price of work…

Not impressed with the price of work done. I needed new rotors and brake pads for my 99 Prado. Ended up paying a price of almost $1700. I don’t think it should have cost that much for that work. He arrived 10:45am and left at 3:30pm that’s not quite 5hrs. He left in that time to get parts and was gone for about 1hr 20mins. The mechanic then tried to tell me it was “pretty cheap really”. I have since called a few local mechanics and they are shocked that I had to pay that.
I called Lube Mobile the day after and they put me through to the manager. He told me all the prices are right and they charge $197 an hour for labour. Not happy.

Originally booked to see what is wrong with the clutch of my VW Tiguan car, they didn't know.. or the fault could have being just the cheapest option (flushing the fluid-but they didn't tell)-as the car was overdue for service and replacing brake/clutch fluids.
They (Beni the mechanic, went straight away for the throat-meaning, most expensive option->bad clutch slave cylinder, although he couldn't figured out that it is internal and could not observe the fault! Spooky, the car/clutch was running good.
Second mechanic, Daniel was more down to earth and suggested some better and more plausible scenarios. Dan was obviously not feeling 100% around diagnosis of his peer mechanic Beni and especially noticeable when I was charged $50 more, over the original quote without prior knowledge! I end up paying from $89 originally up to $134 for a "supposed diagnostics". Furthermore, they took the car for a spin 10-13 min, spoke with me about 10 and went to a side street for half an hour (in the "safer spot" ) and come back after 30min. I observed them from the window [from the second floor from my house :)] and all I can see was the car with the closed bonnet sitting idle?... Not a very good experience.
Btw, I have always been pessimistic about calling Lube mobile and now I know with great certainty that in my gut feeling I was RIGHT. Never again. As I have a substantial clientele around Melbourne I will have to use all my connections to pass the story wide and open and try to "save" as many good people as possible from "your" service. Additionally, when I have asked to replace the engine oil got a $368 shocker!

Pretty average service for the inflated…

Pretty average service for the inflated price. Had warning lights on my ute which I had notified mechanic of. Ran a test said it was OK. Few days later my transmission went and cost $7k. Rang to complain said they'll get back to us they did and said they would follow up..Still waiting...avoid at all costs and find a real mechanic.

Terrible

Terrible. Apparently because my bull bar was off and I ‘tried to fix the problem myself’ which I didn’t, they didn’t even attempt the job.

Great service…on time…good fair price…too easy.
Alex was very friendly and informative.
I felt confident in his ability as all staff are qualified mechanics.
One problem less….our family has six cars and three trailers…so more work coming Alex’s way 😊

If I could give zero stars, I would. Contacted Lube Mobile and was given a time frame of between 10 and 12. Mechanic came at 10 so I thought I was off to a great start. Mechanic seemed annoyed and I felt like a bit of an inconvenience but everyone is human, just thought he was having a bad day. He said he fixed my car, gave me an itemised bill and left. I went for a test drive and everything seemed to have been fixed as it was a simple issue so I headed into work. Finished work late and came out to my car at 8pm. Car started but had same issue as before not going into gear. Couldn't connect Lube because no after hours number. So then had to sign up to RAC Roadside Assistance. They were absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend. By this stage I was stressed out, alone, at night in a city 2 hours away from home with a broken down car that had allegedly been "fixed." RAC managed to manually get my car in gear but told me to drive straight home, don't stop or change gears or I will break down again. So then went through a nerve racking 2 hour drive home. I have spoken to Lube and asked for a refund. Stated I was happy to pay the $49 call out fee but would like a refund on the work done ($275) as it was obviously not done correctly. My refund has been refused. I have had zero viable options to help resolve the fact that I had $325 robbed from me. I was told that if I take my car to a mechanic and it is the same issue and I get another itemised bill then I can have a refund on the parts but not the service. What service? So now I have to pay a second mechanic to fix the problem that a Lube mechanic was supposed to fix in the first place, which means that I need to pay Lube, pay RAC and now a second mechanic just to get a refund on parts. I am angry. At this point I'd rather set the car on fire. I feel like this is the exact reason there is a stigma around mechanics ripping off women. Do not use their services. I do not recommend.

ABSOLUTELY RIPPED OFF! they get away with robbing you!

Some one needs to call the authorities on all staff at this organisations and show all reviews and complaints!!!

Got a basic service from lube mobile..: the car was running fine and was due for a minor top up. After the young boy touched it the car stopped working.
There was no problem with the car until he serviced it.

I called the call centre they sent out the same crook yo speak to me and he just covers his ass with a teenage smart ass attitude!
he lied thru his little teeth trying to say all he did was put oil in the car.
Then tried quoting me for more money to pay for what he clearly purposely broke!

The car was in good condition before he touched it! It was running perfectly fine!

Absolutely disgusting! Poor service, bad mechanics! The company’s should be shut down or get better employees!!!! I should be compensated just like so many people need to be from this horrible company!!!

Price gougers

Had organise lube mobile to come out and do a general service and check the rear wheels for balancing issues. They quoted me $580 for the service on the phone which I thought was reasonable, Bloke showed up and pulled the car apart and said the car suspension is buggered and he can fix it for 3-5k, suspension is fine so i said no to the "Fix" , he said he would go get the tyres rebalanced and change the fuel filter as it was not in the service which I thought was weird and and egr clean, the total came out to $1400! I knew I should of walked away but he was convinced he could fix the balancing issues, he calls me a hour later saying can't be fixed, so I paid $1400 for my $580 service basically, absolutely gutted, definitely been scammed just go somewhere else guys.

Mechanic Ali was amazing, very thorough, explained everything that he was doing and told me what had to be done next time. Good service, pleasant to deal with and on time. Would use him again!!!

$300 quote to change wipers. Cost $29 elsewhere

Booked a log book service for my Mazda CX5. Used lube mobile a few time for my cara no my sons. This time I was quoted $272 for the service, similar to others places near me. Car was reviewed and mechanic advised me all was good but should replace the wipers as starting to wear. He quoted $279 to change front and back wipers…..laughing I suggested 3 wipers costing more than rest of service wasn’t going to happen. The mechanic just shrugged, turned around, went back to his van and disappeared with my car keys and didn’t come back for 90 minutes. When he did after not responding to my calls he said he was chatting with his friend in the auto shop!!
Will now be very wary about using lube mobile again….feels like I was just being ripped off.
The next day I drove to super cheap auto and got new wipers and fitted by them for $29. That’s 10% of the price Lube mobile quoted.
