Charged $425 for 4 years on an account I never used

I discovered that Lucidchart has been charging my credit card annually since 2021 — for an account tied to an old work email that no longer exists. I left that company in 2023 and have had no way to access the account, receive emails, or cancel.

Their own records will show zero activity since May 2022. Nothing created, nothing opened, nothing used. Yet they kept charging me year after year.

How? My credit card company automatically updated my card details through Visa's Account Updater service — so even when my card was reissued multiple times, Lucidchart kept billing me silently.

When I contacted support requesting a refund, I received a generic template response pointing me to their "no-refund policy." No acknowledgment of the circumstances. No human review.

Apparently their policy is: if you can't access your account and can't receive their emails, that's your problem — they'll keep charging you forever.

Buyer beware. If you sign up, know that cancelling may be impossible if you ever lose access to your email, and they will not refund you regardless of the circumstances.

Totally unreliable kind of service. Regret having to try it.

Scammy thieves stole $180 from me and completely lied on their website. Not sure how they get away with this.

I cancelled my plan a year ago but still got charged this year. I am very angry about this!!

The software is OK. However they blatantly lie about the price on their services and they are impossible to cancel. I needed an additional data capabilitiesfor a client. They suggested to use Enterprise plan and gave me a quote (about $25 per month). They charged the difference and i though i was all set. However, 2 days later they charged me $70! . I tired to contact them. I tried to cancel the plan. There is no phone, no email, no possibility of canceling online. Pretty much you fillthe form and wait. I actually liked this company, I used them for several years, never expected to get ripped off by them. Beware!

Überteuert, lohnt sich nicht. Finger weg!

Einmal das Produkt genommen für ein Jahr, dann im 2. Jahr einfach einen überhöhten Betrag abgebucht, Rückerstattung hat ewig gedauert, Account Manager gehen dann in Deckung. Es wurde vereinbart, dass vor der nächsten Verlängerung Kontakt mit unserem Unternehmen aufgenommen wird. Das wurde nicht gemacht, sondern einfach unbefugt von der Kreditkarte weiter abgebucht. KEINE Rückerstattung. KEINE Kulanz.Nie mehr wieder mit dieser Company.
