Fantastic book well illustrated prompt response to order and posting

Firstly the book is wonderful. Great artwork, an informative story, and an all-round enjoyable experience to read with my two bird-loving boys.
The ordering and delivery process was seamless, too.

Great product, packaging and communication!

I ordered a free print at first as it was on offer and such a bargain. When that arrived, there was a leaflet for a book inside that I was instantly interested in, as it had a Robin on the cover. When I looked at the sample online I was won over…I immediately ordered the book as I wanted to read the whole story.
As a family of nature lovers, and rhyming stories, the book is a welcome addition to our story collection and the whole family enjoyed not only the book, but the pictures too, and I especially loved that I learned more about how some garden birds build their nest. The fact there is a message in the story that can be talked about with the audience after it’s been read is great too - is a book to remember and I am so glad I bought it for our household.
Customer service from Luke Western was excellent too; I had a query and it was answered promptly and efficiently with friendly service and I would recommend to anyone. 👍🏻

I waited a while to write this review of Luke's book, 'The Best Nest Contest'. I thought it was beautiful in words and pictures as soon as I opened it, but I wanted to see it road tested with the real target audience. I can confirm that the five year old bird enthusiast I gifted the book to has now read it often enough that the spine is creased and the pages are no longer perfect. Definitely showing the signs of being a much-loved story.

The prints i ordered arrived very quickly and well packaged in time for Fathers Day and a birthday.
My Dad absolutely loves his Marsh Wren print which I framed for him and I had the Kestrel print for my son in law, he loved it!
Lukes art is just beautiful and the geometric range is simply stunning and so clever.
I wont hesitate to order from Luke again, in fact I will be ordering his new book The Best Nest Contest for my grandson very soon.

Luke Western has produced a beautiful, interesting and informative book for kids. We bought it for our 2 year old and although some of the content is a little advanced for her it has sparked her interest in birds and nature and looking for birds in our garden. She loves the illustrations in the book and enjoys finding hidden details in the backgrounds. This book would be ideal for slightly older children but is still giving a lot of joy to our toddler. The author was also very speedy in sending out a signed copy to us so good for a last minute gift.

First and foremost Luke's ature inspired artwork is amazing, so when this was combined in a storybook for for children I is was immediately hooked!

Being an avid wildlife enthusiast, and having children who are just as excited about nature as I am, led me to purchase Luke's new storybook "The Best Nest Contest".

A beautifully illustrated rhyming storybook that's perfect for young children! I hope this is the first of many!

I purchased two of Luke's beautiful books. One for my three children and one for their school teacher to share with their class.
The kids have asked to read it every night, they love recognising the birds and eggs and the illustrations throughout are amazing.
Hopefully a family favourite for years to come.

Recently received Luke's first book "The Best Nest Contest" after pre-ordering it. I was intrigued having already purchased a set of prints previously from Luke.
The book is fantastic, great idea well executed!
The way Luke has tied in facts with the story of birds having a contest may sound a bit odd, but it is a great story, with fantastic illustrations to compliment it.
Although aimed at slightly older children my son loves it, asking for it as his bed time story over and over again.

I followed a link from Facebook to purchase Lukes children’s book, ‘the best nest’. The beautiful book arrived even with a little thank you note inside it which was a sweet touch. Feels good to buy from humans!!

I have three children 4, 3 and 1. They were very excited for a new book.
We read the story together and I must say it was educational as well as fun. The illustrations were amazing, very detailed and actually captured my 3 year olds attention (more than the story) - great details and colours, she tried to stoke each page!

My four year old was fascinated by the story but I think the longevity of this book makes it even more worthwhile of a purchase as I think it will be a good read for them for a few more years!

I was very impressed by the book and highly recommend it, I enjoyed reading it! As for the children assumed the book would be read, enjoyed and they moved on and forgot about it by my (perhaps fickle) children but on a long car journey at the weekend my children played a game to see who could name types of birds and the new breeds now feature in their vocabulary as well as little details about the birds, that they remembered from the book which impressed me! It is cool that this storybook has educational elements in it.

I recommend this book, probably for upwards from 4 year olds. Lovely book, a nice length and beautiful illustrations. Nice to have a book that they can learn from without even knowing they are learning! I am going to nurture this new generation of twitchers and it’s going to be a regular read.

The book is a delight. Saw it on Facebook, it timed in beautifully with the discovery of a deserted, old nest in ivy covering a wall that my daughter and partner are updating prior to moving in. 4yr old grandson wanted to know which bird had built it! Then I chanced upon this gem of a book. It was a chaffinch nest.
The illustrations are glorious. The prose wonderful. Celebrates differences!
All in all I highly recommend this fabulous book.
