Luxuryfurniture.com is a trading name…
Luxuryfurniture.com is a trading name for Luxury Furniture and Interiors Ltd (company number 12382553). Here is my experience.
My wife ordered a dressing table set and bedside tables from Robson Furniture’s website. She was asked to pay a deposit to Luxury Furniture and Interiors Ltd. After 4 months of unfulfilled promises, she cancelled the order and asked for the deposit back. There were more unfulfilled promises about the refund so we resorted to Citizens Advice, Trading Standards and the small claims court. The court claim against Luxury Furniture and Interiors Ltd was easy to submit, on line, and you include the fees in the claim. Mr Singh of Robson Furniture refunded the deposit from an account in his own name and then, after being reminded that they were also responsible for reimbursing the court fees these were paid too. The issue was resolved, but for about 6 months we had neither the furniture nor the money.
Further research, mostly on the Companies House website, brought up some interesting facts.
Robson Interiors Ltd (trading as Robson Furniture who we ordered from), has had 2 Gazette Notices for compulsory strike off in the past 12 months, both discontinued.
Luxury Furniture and Interiors Ltd (to whom we paid the deposit) have their own website, Luxuryfurniture.com, (but the terms and conditions look very similar to those on the Robson Furniture website). They also share a registered address and “person with significant interest” with a newly registered company, AKC Interiors Ltd.
Draw your own conclusions but I will avoid all these companies.
