We cannot say enough about Luxury Scotland Tours and our agent Rebecca. From start to finish, a phenomenal group of people, places and sights as we toured Scotland and Ireland for 15 days. Our driver in Scotland, Gary, was witty, funny and full of knowledge (and surprises!) throughout our week+ with him. The lodging choices were superb, with The Balmoral (Edinburgh), Culloden Estate (Belfast) and The Merrion (Dublin) ranking among the top. Our party of 4 enjoyed seeing all the sights from historical basis to distilleries/bars/pubs to Outlander and Harry Potter themed stops and everything in between. We would very, very highly recommend this company for their knowledge of properties, fantastic staff and overall guidance to their customers.

Luxury Scotland Tours are a wonderful company to deal with. Amy and Alasdair were so great to deal with. They were knowledgeable, organized, flexible and ever so patient with the group to develop an itinerary just for us. Everything that was planned went off seamlessly. It was just as they said it would be and their suggestions, accommodations and tours were terrific. We had just a great trip to Scotland. Our driver Bill was wonderful . He was fun, friendly, knowledgeable and so patient with the group.

We enjoyed our bespoke tour of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Over the course of 17 days, our three person tour relaxed in well appointed luxury, while never worrying about tickets, reservations, parking, or other travel hassles.

While creating our trip, our travel coordinator Alan, really worked-out an itinerary for our personal interests. We felt like our trip highlighted EXACTLY what we wanted--not wasting time on a standard bus tour.

Our drivers were first rate. Helpful, funny, and full of terrific information, we couldn't have asked for better. Martin in Ireland/ Northern Ireland, and Bruce in Scotland were the best.

We were one of three couples that planned an 8 day custom tour with Luxury Scotland Tours. From the moment we planned our tour with Maria, who was very patient with getting the tour just right, to the time the itinerary was handed over for bookings to Alan, (also patient when we had to decide on changes), we had great communication and felt they both did their utmost to make our trip a success! The trip itself was a combination malt whisky tour and Scottish sites tour; and it did not disappoint. We even went to the island of Islay by ferry for some whisky tastings, one of the reasons we chose this company. Many highlights on the trip, from the 5 distillery tastings, traveling through magical Glen Coe, all the castles we saw, Spean Bridge, mystical Clava Cairns and the Highland Chocolatier. We had very nice hotels, our favs were Kinloch Lodge, Ness Walk and the Cromlix. We can't say enough about our driver Neil, who was the best - he would pick out sites unplanned for short stops when time allowed; had great suggestions for lunch, made sure we made the ferries, and even helped us get accommodations for a hotel when our flights were cancelled at the end of our trip. Our van was very comfortable for the 6 of us; we really enjoyed the drives. The weather even cooperated, better than expected, for the majority of our trip. Highly recommend Luxury Scotland Tours for a unique custom experience, they are top notch!!!

"Never have my travel wishes come so perfectly true! Since retiring, I have wanted to visit Scotland’s majestic and lore-laden land, but I did not want to drive myself or join a group tour. Luxury Scotland Tours was the ideal solution. After a week sightseeing in Edinburgh on my own, my driver Gary picked me up to begin the most interesting, amusing, breathtaking ten-day experience across the Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye. First, everyone at Luxury Scotland Tours exceeded expectations. Alan put together a fantast itinerary, was flexible and adjust things just for us, and fixed things for us on the fly. We didn't have a great meal one night so he cancelled the second night and gave us three new option. Our driver Scott, who Alan arranged for us, was a blast. He was so much fun and knew so much about the Scotland... from landmarks, to politics to how the financial markets work. Everything about what Luxury Scotland Tours did for us was excellent.

We had an amazing three-week trip in Scotland working with Luxury Scotland tours! Struan and Helen helped us to plan a terrific itinerary including castles and other interesting historical sites, first-class golf, fabulous hiking in scenic areas, and great whisky! They also booked a diverse mix of hotels and restaurants in beautiful locations. Our driver Alan was excellent, always where we needed him to be and providing lots of local insight. Overall, it was a very memorable trip and a 5-star service experience all the way. Exceeded our expectations. Very highly recommended!

We wanted to visit Scotland in 2020. Covid. 2021 Covid. 2022 Covid. 2022 was not travel restrictions, but my wife got Covid. Year one and year two Luxury Scotland Tours made it easy by just shifting all our reservations out a year. In 2022 we had to file a travel insurance claim and LST made that as easy as possible by providing all the documentation required to get reimbursed from the insurance company, who, like Voldemort, shall not be named as they were a pain to deal with.

We finally made it in October of 2023. We arrived to the worst rainfall in 30 years and our route to Crinan from Edinburgh was blocked, so we never got there. We retreated to Glasgow for the night. The next day we just tried to get back on track and we did that.

Our guide/driver Neil was amazingly calm throughout, and that kept us calm. He was even calm 30 minutes into the first day of our trip when we were rear-ended in traffic. If this had been a self-driving trip I would have lost my composure. Between the accident and the flooding I'm not sure I would have finished the trip if I had been self-driving. It was great to have someone else handle the adversity of the flooding and the minor car accident.

Our first several days were spent traveling. The last two days were in Edinburgh with a local photographer. His knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding area was extensive and he put me in the right place at the right time over and over again to capture some great photos.

All in all we saw a LOT of Scotland. I highly recommend this trip to anybody who wants to see Scotland. Ours was awesome.

Everything about our experience with Luxury Scotland Tours was perfect. Amy took our wish list, whisky tasting, sheepherding, manor houses, castles, luxury hotels, good restaurants, shopping; and created 10 amazing days in the Highlands, Edinburgh and Saint Andrews. She allowed not only for tours but for time on our own to explore. Our driver, Brian, was amazing and like everyone we met in Scotland friendly, funny and helpful. Great trip....next time England!

We contacted Luxury Scotland Tours to plan a holiday for our family of four adults, and they responded with a brilliant itinerary to explore the Highlands, Orkney and Edinburgh. Struan and Florence asked what we'd like to see and experience, then put together a fabulous roadmap to see castles, abbeys, mountains, beautiful lochs, archaeological sites and ancient standing stones. Oh, and a whisky distillery! The van was very roomy and comfortable. The lodging at each stop was exceptional, with fine restaurants and amenities. The itinerary was flexible, as we opted to change our route along the way to see other sites of interest.

Our driver, Alan, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. By the end of the trip, we had adopted him as family.

Luxury Scotland Tours provides expert planning, excellent services and communication. The best recommendation we can give is that we did not want the tour to end!

Luxury Scotland Tours worked closely with us to plan a varied agenda with a private driver. We had a fantastic time on private boat trips on Loch Ness and Loch Lomond (Captain Gordon and Captain Richard are charming storytellers), touring castles, tasting Whisky at Dalwhinnie and chocolates at the Highland Choclatier. Do ner reservations were handled for us (highly recommend) and the hotels were excellent.

10 days flew by and when we return we will tap our new friends at Luxury Scotland Tours again.

Trip of a Lifetime!

We are 8 long time golf friends who had the most wonderful experience of touring Scotland and playing golf at St. Andrews, Gullane, Castle Stuart, Kingsbarns, and Gleneagles for 12 days on a luxury tour created for us by Luxury Scotland Tours. We did not have to plan or do anything but enjoy the trip. Luxury Scotland Tours did it all in style. We give Luxury Scotland Tours greater than 5 stars, 5 stars+, it was truly the best trip we have all experienced. The Mercedes Van was beyond comfortable with snacks and drinks always available, and our drivers, David and Neil, were wonderfully engaging, engaging, and just fun to be with. The lodging was first class with completely comfort and all of our needs taken care. The restaurants recommended by Luxury Scotland Tours were impeccable, incredible food and service, and always walking distance to our hotel. In addition to planning everything our golf days, Luxury Scotland Tours planned a very informative and enjoyable excursions such as a personally guided walking tour Edinburgh, tours of castles, cathedrals, distilleries, a private tasting with Iain Burnett, a renowned chocolatier, a private cruise with Gordon on the Loch Ness, shopping areas, and the list goes on. Luxury Scotland Tours’ attention to detail for the enjoyment of their clients cannot be overstated. It was truly the trip of a lifetime for all of us. We had such a wonderful experience in Scotland and it was so well planned. Our guide/driver, George, was so pleasant and informative. He let us off at each place, told us to take our time and he would pick us up at a certain place in say a couple hours.
Each day was a new experience and all well planned. The accommodations were definitely 5 star. The restaurants were superb. Seriously this was one of the most relaxing, stress free and enjoyable vacations we have ever taken. I would definitely take a trip with your company anywhere.

We went on a multi generational bespoke trip planned by Luxury Scotland Tour. We were escorted by John, our driver, who provided local information that you could not get in guide books. Our trip included staying at wonderful hotels (we always had the best rooms) and eating in gourmet restaurants. All the reservations were taken care of by Ophelie. We gave LST our wish list and they incorporated it into a fabulous itinerary. They planned outings that included our two teenage grandsons. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we had no worries. We will definitely use them again on a return trip to Scotland.

What an amazing time we had. From our first enquiry with Ruaridh to Helen handling our whole personalised trip, everything was perfectly organised. Gary, our driver, had a wonderful sense of humour and had interesting bits of information on the stunning areas we travelled through. The Scottish people are extremely welcoming and friendly and we immediately felt like we were home from home.

It was an amazing experience. Totally recommendable. Worth every penny. The tour was meticulously organized and designed especially to fulfill our desires. All the hotels we stayed in were charming, beautiful and functional. The excursions gave us the perfect idea of Scotland and its incredible beauty. Our driver, Stan, was very professional, polite, patient and always on time. I'd like to recognize the marvelous job of Florence, who organized all the details of our travel. Thank to Stan and Florence we had the best vacations of our lives.

Kalin and I both are still processing our amazing LST holiday, but we're already certain it was the best trip ever.

We want to make special mention of Neil. He simply is the best. Equal parts host, tour guide, driver, bodyguard, and historian ... he was calm, patient, good natured, knowledgeable, thoughtful, dependable, and in every way the perfect traveling companion. We can't imagine ever having explored my ancestral home without him showing the way.

We were (of course) so pleased with the comfortable and elegant accommodations that LST arranged for us! Crossbasket Castle, the Cromlix House, and the Glencoe House ... all three were first rate and offered a truly unique experience, each in their own delightful way. We enjoyed them immensely.

You know it says a lot when two top notch hotels (Edinburgh's Waldorf Astoria and the Cameron House) are not mentioned as the highlight of the accommodations. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed them both -- they're outstanding properties -- and they were perfect for what they each offered us at their particular juncture in our holiday.

Side note: we never anticipated having such a great time with the Falconry experience at the Cameron House! Graeme and his hawk, Dram, were big fun. Ask about the Squirrel Hunt! (Joking.)

Among the countless ways LST went above and beyond for us was how we somehow managed to always have lunch and dinner reservations at the best window table looking out over yet another jaw-dropping view (a meticulously manicured garden, a scenic harbour, a Highland Loch ...). They also found a way to slip in a visit to Dunkeld Cathedral (a special place near and dear to my heart) after a last minute request -- totally my fault, but they made it happen!

We are big fans of this wonderful company, all the valuable services they provide, and their especially talented staff. It would have taken us countless hours to plan and implement this holiday -- and we'd still never have pulled it together nearly as well as they did.

Finally, it MUST be mentioned: not having to drive ourselves around on the left side of all those narrow, unfamiliar roads? Priceless.
