From the time we entered the customer service was fantastic. Steve and his colleague (I'm sorry we didn't catch her name) were very friendly and informative. We had a few samples including mulled wine, Christmas Mead - all very nice indeed.
Purchased a selection of bottles for Christmas - hope they will last until then.
I would also like to thank Mandi for all her help.

Visited Lyme Bay Winery for a wine tasting on 16th May . Worth every penny. Staff were informative, engaging and nothing too much trouble. Lots of wines to taste and spirits and liqueurs at end if you wished. We all( 3 ladies) purchased wines, spirits and liqueurs and collected early next morning as we had walked from Colyton across footpaths. Shame we were only on holiday or would be purchasing wine tasting as a gift fir friends. Well worth a visit. Carol

Order was processed within an hour and the delivery arrived early next morning. I was a little concerned as the GPS tend to send couriers on a bit of a mystery tour for my address but APC found me without any difficulty.

Exactly the same issue with some other reviews here.

Order process was standard, good communication. Waited in for the delivery as its alcohol and needs an 18 yo to take receipt. Again perfectly standard, happy to do that.

Delivery didn't arrive. Received text/email to say delivery attempted. Photo showed a house in another road.

Booked delivery again for another day. Waited in all day. Nothing. Contacted courier and was told the order had been returned to the supplier.

Had to go to Paypal to force a refund as, despite having confirmation from the courier of the return, they had to wait for the item to be returned before they would issue one.

That's no use to me, the order was not even attempted to be delivered to the correct property.

Never again.

Shame as the wine is good, but I see M&S stock it and a cheaper price. Which is REALLY annoying as you try to support local independent businesses, but if terrible customer service and really poor couriers let you down, then people are going to go to the supermarket.

I visited this lovely winey on the way back from a long lunch in Lyme Regis. I was extremely impressed. Friendly engaging staff with a genuine interest in they products. I spent too much money but I was feeling generous and it was worth every sip. Yet to try the rum but the cider was a delight. Some more local produce would have made the visit even more of a delight.
Otherwise it was perfect.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Very pretty. We booked on to the Gold package wine tasting and we were thrilled with it. Steve really knows his stuff and was really lovely. He had so many interesting facts and stories - we were fully engaged by him! We were also surprised with a food pairing too. I now know what I actually like in wine, rather than just looking at a name/label!! Came away with lots of wine (specifically the Pinot Noir, Bacchus, Bacchus Block and Brut Rose) and will be ordering more from online soon. Thanks again Steve and the lovely lady in the shop whose name we've forgotten!

Excellent meads. The black cherry mead is one of my favorites.
Just tried the apple, rhubarb and strawberry ones as well and they are all similarly excellent.
The apple tastes like a sweet green apple which is great. Probably ties with my love of the black cherry.

Will definitely be getting more! They also came quickly and packaged well for transport.

Well never again will I buy from this winery,
Delivery date Friday 28/07/2023, confirmed with e, mail from APC, waited in all day nothing.
I sent e mail to Lyme bay winery no reply, I phoned today twice, answer machine, although they are open.
So through this site Trust pilot, I want my order cancelled and a full refund, also I am not here Monday or Tuesday, and would not want it left any where as I want to see the box, as the last box was damaged.
I paid for a service I did not get.
And APC the carrier do not attempt to deliver, or dump it in my front garden and run away.

Received a bottle of Cherry Wine from this company as a gift for my birthday, a nostalgic reminder of a tipple I used to enjoy at a local pub. It was just as I remember, absolutely gorgeous, fruity, sweet and indulgent. Enjoyed both by me and some friends when I took the remainder to a group get-together.
Recently ordered another bottle, plus their Black Beer & Raisin which was another favourite and which I’m yet to find elsewhere. Delivery took a while but now happily enjoying both.
Fruit wine selection well worth a look and very reasonable prices.

The quality of the drinkable product although being superb, is still soured by the product's aftertaste.
I always try to buy British, but twice in recent times I've decided not to stay silent about the non-existent support given by the companies themselves back to the customer, when the latter's choice is so huge that only people's dedication to the old country prevents their next buying the first bottle of cheap Mediterranean plonk they find at their local cut-price store: Lyme Bay Winery has now joined Neo-Core, (computer tablet makers), in being unable to say anything to the customer, except via the wine label, as days and days have passed, and there's been no interest in responding to my voicemail.
It hurts to write this, as the product is so very fine, and it's British. But, we have a duty to each other, as well as to the land we inhabit; so deferring to that, I'd say that if anyone did need to raise a question with them after paying, my experience is that the enthusiasm of their bottles' label writers hasn't yet 'communicated' itself to the switchboard.
